"I hope that Atem had merely been kidding when he said that he would raise them as his own. But it really is up to the pharaoh as to what happens to them. They'll probably be given to another family if we get no word from Bakura." Seto shrugged, looking around the room. Atem hadn't come in yet. "If you'll excuse me, I believe I have some work to do." He said, though he knew that he couldn't get much done. A majority of the work involved making records, which he wouldn't be able to do on account of his broken wrist.

"Can you read and write?" This question could have been taken as an insult, though the question itself was common enough. Seto said it somewhat sarcastically, watching the bird wearily.

"Did I?" Seto tore his gaze away from the bird. "I suppose I did. Well, come on. The sooner I get started the sooner I'll be done." He moved around Ayira and left the dining hall to go to the library. That was the best place to write in private.

"Ok" Ayira said. Getting up she followed seto. "Name? Naaamee" Azul said. Ayira smiled. He was just as she rembered him "His name's seto"

"Please refrain from introducing me to your... bird." Seto said over his shoulder as he walked along the hallway. He was feeling particularly cold that morning-- towards Ayira, that was. He had time to think over it, and this seemed to be the best option at the current time.

Seto paused at the door to the library, and entered. "It probably can't comprehend something like that. Here's the paper, here are brushes and ink." He gestured towards each item as he spoke.

"Alright." ayira said. "Hombre malo, Hombre malo!" the bird spoke. Ayira sighed shaking her head "It only seems like it..."

"Just write down what I say." Seto would wait until Ayira got seated at the desk before he launched into a dull, formal monologue about how the gods were bringing these two together and that the newest wife to the honorable pharaoh was not to be queen, but would still bear him many chubby children.

Seto stopped talking after a little bit, and then snatched away the paper from Ayira. He scanned over it with narrowed eyes, then shrugged indifferently. "This will do. Make a copy of it."

Seto moved over to the window and looked out as he waited for Ayira to get done. He didn't like that bird. Birds shouldn't speak. Animals shouldn't speak. Only gods should be allowed to speak with animals.
