xD But not really, because I also feel bad for staying up. *o* WHY MUST MY CONSCIENCE CHOOSE TO WORK AT THE WRONG TIMES?
Well, my dad is coming home in like and hour or two, and if he catches me awake he's probably actually going to knock me out to make me go to sleep and take away my computer for three months. Even my mom, when she was going to bed at 11 yelled at me for not sleeping. I mean, I woke up at like noon today, I think I want to be awake for more than 13 hours.
Meh. Anyways, I posted. If I suddenly disappear, you know why. xD But I'll be going to sleep before 1, probably.

Yeah, I'm actually kind of tired now, so I should go. >_> Sorry I couldn't stay up earlier, but I have to wake up at 5:30 tomorrow. Woot. Less than five hours of sleep here I come. D:

HEY GUYS! biggrin I'm new! And I has a question. First of all, I'm going to say again: Thanks Peri for suggesting me as a new member. This place looks awesome.
However, there's an issue: I have no idea what Harvest Moon is. 8D That's right! I'm a chick on an anime-based site who doesn't watch anime... or read mangas whatever. Do I need to know something about Harvest Moon before beginning? I read the description about the island, but how important is knowledge of its inspiration? It was another reason why I hesitated so long to reply (other than the not being available often part). I tend not to work well in anime/video-game/manga/sitcom-based RPs. Well, except Harry Potter 3nodding But I was always a first year, so I didn't need to know too much. But I lost interest in all the magic and learning and blahdeeblah because although I was a witch, the roleplay was mundane with its high school drama and latin and slow-replying and/or incompetent teachers...But yeah, focus on the bold text! I'm just ramblin'! Whatchu doin' way down here?

Harvest Moon is a game where the main character is a farmer and moves to a new place, and they have to woo someone to marry, while having a farm simulator. So really this RP is more of a romance/socializing/drama roleplay... though with us, it's also a bit of comedy. xD /blame me! So other than whatever it has in those threads you don't need to know anything about anything. >.>

Doesn't sound like a very adventurous game. Is there any multiplayerness to it? Is it on computer or console? Have you played it, Peri?

Of course I have, I love my Harvest Moon. xD Eh, wouldn't say it's not adventurous, it's just one of those games that doesn't sound fun until you play it,t hen it's very fun and you end up wasting days trying to get a certain character to like you. There's a lot more to it too, I just went over the basic thing... >_>; There's tons of other stuff too, just can't think of what to say (it's so late~) Oh and there's a lot of HMs, from the SNES to the NDS. XD
>.> My favorite ones are the Rune Factory ones though. It's kind of like a spin-off Fantasy version. So basically Harvest Moon with swords and monsters. XP But y'know, you don't have to know anything about the games to RP here. Since it's mostly romance/comedy/socializing/friendship RPing~ And I can't actually think of anything HM related that we actually have right now... I'm so tired. @.@; I'll be heading to bed now~ If you have any questions just ask again and whoever gets online next/gets back online should answer. Bye~ xD

It's single player, as I've had to explain to my sister DOZENS OF TIMES. D<

It's console. There are games for all of the Nintendo consoles as well as for PSP? and PS2. 8D
It's just a farming simulator. Grow some crops, milk some cows, feed some chickens, give crap to a girl until she's willing to marry you and have your AGELESS CHILD. (That's a lie, in some of the games your kid does age, but still.)

Yeah, Diff~ :'D It's basically just.. reality in a rural area RP. xD Kinda. Somewhat~ Well, we do have fairies and a Harvest Goddess, but they don't do much but.. small stuff. xD So, those are the main HM elements. owo

@Loli, WHICH IS WHY I LIKE RUNE FACTORY MORE! XD
It has swords and monster killing and monster taming, and then it TIME SKIPS so you get to USE YOUR KID! And date the kids of the other people in town! XD Plus it has a story!
@Serend, I didn't notice you posted with Romane, my bad. XD;
XD Yeah main elements is there's four months in a year, and it's rural... /simple but sweet?

It's hack-and-slash though. >.> So you just run up to monsters and smack them until they die. So it's not like turn-based or anything... doesn't even involve strategy! And you can tame monsters by petting them while they try to kill you, so once tamed you can have them help you around while farming with their monster powers, or help kill things~! and they follow you around everywhere! xD
