It is raining, and the house is too hot, and all I can smell is chamomile, and I just want to sleeeeeeep. But I have to finish this paper and read the last act of Hamlet because we have a quiz tomorrow. Shakespeare is really not fun to read when you're half asleep and can barely make sense of modern English.
At least it's not Chaucer. Then again, Chaucer was never a playwright, so little chance of that.

So apparently I need to stop saying "I'm not feeling well" and start saying "I have a cold/the flu/allergies" more often, because the past two weeks that I've been slightly sick everyone's response has been "OMG MORNING SICKNESS YOU'RE PREGNANT!!" No, no I am not, go squee over our friends who are. Or better yet, leave them alone too, 'cause they probably hate that.
I had joked with my boss a little bit about the whole idea that as soon as you get married everyone assumes you're going to have a baby, but I thought people had a tiny bit more sense than that. Apparently a lot of the people I'm around don't...

Sevi Rais Gosh, I hate the feeling of being annoyed but not knowing what I'm annoyed about. Maybe just boredom. ):< I haaaate that - especially because my boy always wants to know what's wrong and how to fix it, and since I can't give him a straight answer I just get more annoyed. D:
If I have an alien baby I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.

I am so glad I'm not working this Black Friday. Deciding to open at midnight is ridiculous - especially in our area, since in the past four years there's never been a big crowd waiting to get in.

Yes, that's true - my best friend has to be at work at 9pm on Thanksgiving and her shift goes until 7am Friday. She does get paid double-time for the first three hours of her shift, but even that's not worth it to me.
I thought Black Friday was kind of neat until I had to work it four years in a row and open each time - there's just too many frantic, cranky customers and all the managers are so stressed out about hitting specific numbers, upselling, etc. *shrug* It's just not what the holidays should be about at all.
...and last year's BF just killed it for me because I nearly passed out from trying to work a ten hour shift (ten hours after I'd taken two lunches, mind) while horribly sick. So this year I'm planning on sleeping in and avoiding the stores as much as possible.

I get that weekend off, but since people keep on breaking their stuff I'll face 5-days worth of repair reports on the Monday after. xp

Thanks! whee And yeah, I had to work on Black Friday too, years ago, but yours last year sounds much more horrible than mine did! Yeah, it's really crazy especially when everyone is all over the place and crowds of people. @________@ I worked at Bath and Body Works and ours was a liiiittle store! The line goes out the door most of the time, and I'm not a very good cashier.... I think I can get better with practice, but I just wasn't as fast as the other girls. I'm still not. :/ Dang, I never want to work in retail ever again! xd Wil: Of course! What else is new? (:
