Seph stopped and let out an exasperated sigh. "What makes you think anything has happened to either of us?"

"Pins and needles." Seph paused for a few seconds, as if gaging her reaction. "I think I pinched a nerve, is all. There was a harsh turn in my.. chakra. It kind of hurt."

Her expression has yet to really shift from the same calm, expressionless stare.
"Do you forget to whom you are speaking?" She leaned against the doorframe, idly resting her hands in her pockets. "You don't have many more chances, you know."

Now it was Seph's turn to twist his expression into a dead stare. "I really don't think you have much of an option here, Nyl. You can keep me here in the kitchen if you like, but what, really, are you planning to do?" Seph's features softened as he calmed down, turning his back to her and making his way back to the kitchen table. He took a sip from his tea after heating it.

Though some of it I can piece together. Whatever you are, you've worn Seph down so much that he can't fight back...
She blinked, the slightest of frowns appearing on her face.
That sounds so familiar.

"The truth?" Seph took another sip of his tea and turned towards her.
"You want the truth, Nyl?"
Seph took a few steps towards her and smirked. "Think, Nyl. I know you are. I'm sure you can come up with an accurate deduction, can't you? Do I need to get you a jar of honey, Pooh-Bear? Think. Think. Think." He poked his forehead, an almost-manic grin growing on his face.

Nyl's face still didn't change expression. "Of course I'm thinking. What sort of leader would I be if I weren't? And you have yet to give me the truth."
Things like that. Like repetition. ...And the way he was acting...

Seph blinked, and calmed down, taking a few steps back. He shook his head and looked around.
~Phairen? Christ, I thought I'd never get out of there!~ Seph blinked again and rubbed his nose. He sighed and glanced at his hand. He dabbed his nose again, the sat down on the floor. He had a nosebleed.
He shook his head again.

Seph took the paper towel and dabbed his nose, blocking the nostril. ~It's not your fault, Nyl..~
~I wasn't far off with parasite. It's a virus, one that I can't pinpoint. The blocks I encountered earlier are gone. If they were the cause of his sleeplessness, he should be able to sleep, now.~
Seph closed his eyes, fighting away a headache. "I feel like I just woke up from a power nap."
