Phoenix315 3.14 Tsukasa Elric It's annoying when your iPod charger breaks. Looks like no iPod for me for a while. ...you can live with out an iPod? gonk crying I don't know...I need mine for work. I'd probably go crazy if I didn't have music.

Just watched the first episode of The Law of Ueki, and I've gotta say its pretty interesting.
The basic premise is that 100 canidates for godhood are entered into a contest to become the new god. Each of them chooses a student and imbues them with just one power. The students use the power to fight to determine who is the strongest, and thus which canidate should become the new god. The reward for the students is being given one ability of their own choice if they win the whole contest.
The catch (at least for our hero, Ueki) is that every time he uses his power (the ability to turn garbage into trees) to hurt someone he loses one of his natural abilities. Unfortunately, after two incidents, he is already down by two abilities (the ability to get girls to like him and the ability to study) out of 11. Also, when you lose all your abilities, you cease to be.
The art has elements that remind me of Zatch Bell, Shaman King, and at moments sleightly of FMA...

Stream makes me want to watch more new shows... I'm already way behind in trying to catch up with Monster. gonk Damn my dial-up.
...When I get a job and get settled in, I think I'm going to break down and pay for high speed internet. sweatdrop
In other news, I love Marketplace shopping sprees. whee 12 new items for me today, not including the donation stuffs. heart

Fomite Stream makes me want to watch more new shows... Stream makes me want to have the shows he watches come out over here. gonk no fansubs for skizzy~I'd read about that garbagetree thing, though, it sounds neat. 3nodding
