Good luck with that little mechanism, because that part of the human brain putters out by about age twelve. I forget exactly what it is, but I know that it's this certain part that as you said helps a child learn a language more easily. It stays around until age twelve because that age range is the main developmental range of a human. Sure, you keep developing as you get into the teenage years, but not as much mentally as you did in your younger years. I'm pretty sure that's how it is. I think I saw something about it somewhere, but I can't exactly remember... neutral
I bet you'd like talking to my brother about languages. He's really into it. He can hold up a conversation in German now and can say cutesy things in Spanish like "How was your week" and stuff. He says he needs to get up to par again with Spanish. He can also read and write notes in Norwegian, the language of my father's father's people! biggrin
Good luck with your Japanese learnding, conversation killer. 3nodding

Stupid siblings, barging into my room and distracting me... making me miss out on a lot of crap. razz
@Sho: Yeah, I understand, but the "ore" was a bit superfluent. You could've actually just said "suki da" or something along those lines as an entire sentence and it would've been easily assumed that you were saying you possessed affection for it. *shrugs* But just keep in mind, you're switching between formal, informal, and rude constructions all in one sentence! rofl You call me "omae" and refer to yourself as "ore", and switch between "da" and "desu" a lot. Basically there's no good "you" term in Japanese, as most imply their inferiority, so you should just substitue it for their name.
Have you gotten into kanji stuff yet? That stuff is HARD!! O____O
Man... I always hear about the Rocky Horror Picture Show, but I've never seen it. crying

whatever you say there Re Re....
Grabs Koe and starts dancing. I can't help it. You just look like you should be on a dance floor in that dress. xd
oy Kayako = check out that last post I made in Trigga. You'll love it.
Edit: Soren.... you've never seen Rocky Horror? Oh my.. that's a shame. first time I saw it I was probably 13.. (long time ago) and I walked around singing it for weeks. It's what they call a classic. But unlike most "classics" it's actually true. It's the only movie that can still be seen in theaters 30 years after it was first made.

I figure once I leave the house, I'll finally be able to watch all these bizarre weirdo things and become a looney like everyone else. razz
