Jacob grinned as he realized that he was the last one on the pitch for his team, but that the rest of the team was already there. He gave everyone a nod and started stretching. Honestly he hoped that the team did well and they came away with a win, but Hufflepuff had seemingly gotten better since the debacle a couple of years ago. He nodded to Tobi and stood after he was finished. He stuck out his hand to his fellow seventh year. "May the best team win."

He grinned and stood up grasping it with his own hand for a shake. Part of him really wanted to saying something snarky like "Thanks, we will" but then he figured that without the guy constantly on his and Luke's tit like it seemed when they were younger he was actually a pretty decent guy. "Yeah, good luck an' all tha'" he said with his usual grin totally not trying to make his handshake seem harder than he usually did before letting go. What? Olyvia walked onto the pitch, twirling her broom in her hand. She was excited to play again. She hadn't played last year and that hadn't been fun at all. She thought she'd been to depresed and out of it to play, but not playing had only made her mood worse it seemed. That was half the reason she was back on the pitch. The other half was because she was feeling a lot better this year.

  Location: Quidditch Pitch : Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff Leonette tried not to get annoyed with Cathy’s question. She may be able to handle David when he was acting that way but not his sister. “I never said I wasn’t going to tell him. Not to mention it’s me you’re asking to lie for you.” She said trying not to get to overly hotheaded before the game started. “I don't have to tell you that it's only a matter of time before he finds out. He may not come to games but he does listen to the filtered gossip." Leonette warned her. "I can almost guarantee that he'll find out from someone if not on his own.”“Now, I promised him I wouldn't lie to him again, and I assured him I’d tell him before your cousin Wendy does but I’ll stay quiet about it for the time being. Though I'll leave you with this, if you don't tell him yourself would you rather have someone like Wendy or Sapphire tell him?" Leonette asked almost rhetorically. Fact of the matter was if she didn't say anything, would she rather have someone like Leo tell him or someone like Wendy? The choice was up to her. Leonette accepted Cathy’s apology despite wishing the girl would just tell her brother the truth. She didn’t want to get in the middle of it but it seemed the family drama wouldn’t allow her to remain in good terms with everyone. “You know he’s not going to be happy that he didn’t find out never mind that you did it to begin with.” She told the second year. Upon hearing that David would have to start coming to games when he did find out Leonette doubted he would. He certainly didn’t come for her and yet… didn’t he have a sort of obligation being her boyfriend and all. Then again that was just of this year. Of course she never expected him to come to games or find an interest in dueling just because they were together. “I know he doesn’t like Quidditch but that’s fine by me.” Leonette said before nodding lightly. “Don’t worry I’m sure you’ll do the team proud.” She told her trying to stay on a much happier note. All Leonette could hope for was that Cathy sorted out her own problems before she had to take matters into her own hands. Status: Excited... Why couldn't she let it go... I mean, it would be fairly bad for me not to want to protect him where I can. Besides, it'll be worse for him if I just went up and said, 'yeah, I know you don't agree about this but I don't care'. Sure he'll find out eventually, but it is better to prolong him finding out if you ask me."
"Your arrangements with him is your business. I'm not going to involve myself with that. However, I doubt Wendy would find out before David would and if she did she is likely to sit on the information for a bit at least," She said with a shrug. "My decision not to tell him is for his own good. Why tell someone something that is just going to upset them if they could go potentially a few months without worrying about it? Then again, maybe that is just me justifying being selfish or what not. Maybe you know him better than me? After all, he tends not to say all that much to anyone about what he is thinking and when he does express it... well he isn't all that great at voicing it. Maybe he's more loquacious with you?"
"Anyways, please just consider my reasoning and think it through. I'm trying to do the best thing for everyone. And maybe it will pan out okay if you tell him," Cathy added giving a quick bow to Leo. "And, good luck, again, to you and your team!"
Smiling she bounded over to the older players on her team, joining the other older more experienced chasers, Olyvia and Elsie. "Sorry... anyways, do you two have any tips for me? I... I feel like I'm the least experienced out of anyone on the field. I don't want to be a hindrance, after all," She added, her nerves beginning to show, as she fidgeted with a bow on one of her pigtails. What if she was just dreadful and end up hurting her team instead of helping? ______________________________________________________

Location: Quidditch Pitch : Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff “Omitting is just as much lying as lying is.” Leonette said remembering what David said. ‘I'll say this once if you intend to lie or forget to mention things at least learn how to cover your tracks.’ Those words echoed in her mind. What if she couldn’t keep this secret for Cathy? What if by not saying anything she was setting herself up to fail in the relationship she was in? Cathy was a smart girl, smart enough to know that she and David liked one another. Sure she probably didn’t see any harm in hiding it but Leonette did. Leonette shook her head. “I understand where you’re coming from Cathy...” She would give the Hufflepuff that much. “I probably don’t know him better.” She added. Honestly she really couldn’t say if she did but that hardly mattered. ‘Great she’s leaving it up to me… no pressure…’ she thought. It was hard to imagine this going over easy with David and her guilty conscience would definitely get the better of her. As Cathy rushed off to get some kind of a strategy, Leonette felt a hand on her shoulder. “Don’t let her get to you Leo we have a game to win.” Looking over at who it was she wasn’t surprised to see her cousin David. “I’ll try hard not to... but I make no promises.” She told him. Bronwen walked onto the pitch, carrying the box with the balls and her broom. She was psyched to start off the season already, and she was of course rooting for her former house. That didn't mean that she would call the game unfairly, of course. Standing in the middle of the teams, she cleared her throat. "First game of the season! I want to see a nice, clean game! This match is between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. Now, let's get this game started!" With a shriek of her whistle, she kicked the box open and released them before picking up the quaffle. Shooting up into the air, she tossed it up to start the game.

Olyvia shrugged at Cathy and rolled her shoulders as she waited for the game to start. In all honesty, there were no tips to be given. Quidditch was all about instinct. "Just play with all your heart and you'll be fine." Was all she could say. At that moment the referee showed up and the whistle screeched announcing the beginning the game. Lyv shot up on her broom straight after the quaffle. She was determined to prove her year off had not messed up her game.

"Oh shoot." she told herself before rushing off after the quaffle. She needed to get it back but hopefully she hadn't gone to slow. That would just be her luck now wouldn't it...? Hufflepuff's score: 00 pts ______________________________________________________ Cathy had figured that she probably, once she had the time to think it through, would probably feel horrible how she essentially started off demanding that Leo did not tell her brother about her being on the quidditch team. It was probably unfair, especially since there was probably something going on between the Gryffindor and her brother by this point. However, she had decided she needed to focus on the game and as she asked her question of Olyvia and Elsie and got the answer to play with all her heart she nodded with a smile. She could do that, and couldn't help but be happy to be sorted into Hufflepuff, generally they were the sort to support each other and always look out for each other.
That was when the referee came onto the pitch and announced the start of the game. Cathy immediately set to the air and smiled when Olyvia got to the quaffle first, but quickly Leo managed to take it back. Pushing forward, Cathy reached out attempting to steal the quaffle from the older Gryffindor girl. ______________________________________________________

The rest of the players had assembled, and the ref had finally made an appearance. And as soon as the whistle blew, and the quaffle was released, a Hufflepuff chaser had already shot up. Leo was't far behind. Xavier flew up following the younger chaser. "Nice one, Leo!" he cheered, flying beside her. He'd better be alert right now, or else the other team might get the first ten points.

Location: Quidditch Pitch : Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff David hadn't found it yet but was happy to see that Leo caught the quaffle. They were off to a good start. If it would last they would have this in the bag. Scanning the field David really hoped to find the snitch soon not that he wanted to sell the rest of his team short. No, he just wanted to catch the snitch before Jess did. After all this was one of the easier games he had to play in and he didn't want to mess something like that up. Status: Last season...
