Earendil chuckled. "Amon Darthir was wonderful for her," he grinned. "At any rate, shall we join them?"

He nodded towards Miyuki and the others.

Lancaeriel turned back to Iorlas and picked up on their conversation. "I have done some thinking about what you requested," she said seriously. "There are ... complications."

Iorlas nodded. "I expected there might be. Is it the danger?"

Lancaeriel smiled and shook her head. "No. There should be no danger if it is handled right. But that part is up to you."

Miyuki was confused, what danger was there in traveling? Unless they were going to run into mean people again, which she supposed could happen, because they did when they first began to travel.

Though she felt safer now that Amalirahc's parents were with them.

Lin nodded as she rose from her seat, "Would you like to stay here Andarien?"

She knew that he might not want to be closer to Lancaeriel.

"Up to me?" Iorlas repeated, seemingly surprised.

Lancaeriel smiled softly. "I can explain in further detail later. It isn't that I believe that you're dangerous, but it will also affect your sister, and that is where it begins to become questionable."

Andarien reached out with lightning reflexes and grabbed Lin's hand. "I go with you," he said firmly, almost as if he were expecting some kind of argument. Then again, it had almost sounded as if she had been encouraging him to stay behind (at least to his ears) and he didn't want to.

Earendil chuckled. "At least it seems like he might finally be picking up on the Common Tongue a bit."

Miyuki looked between the two women, she didn't like to think of Ioreth taht much, even if her story was just as sad (because being angry all the time had to not be fun at all), but she didn't understand what Lancaeriel was getting at.

Lin smiled, "Alright then, let's go shall we?"

At least he was understanding, which was a step. Lin liked for her children to at least understand what was going on around them when people spoke other languages, it was a left over from her own childhood.

Lancaeriel was well aware that Miyuki was lost in the conversation, but she made no effort to enlighten her. Instead, as the conversation was over for the moment, she simply smiled at Miyuki.

"Any big plans for today?" she asked as if the previous conversation had not taken place.

Andarien shuffled off his chair and trotted alongside his mother obediently, clinging tightly to her hand as if afraid she was going to go somewhere without him.

Miyuki blinked at the sudden change in conversation, it was probably a bit strange for her but she accepted it more or less.

She shook her head, "Not really, I sort of think today is going to end up being a lesson day."

Not that she minded, maybe she would even get to pick one of her own lessons, there was always something new when they traveled.

Lin smiled reassuringly before making her way over to where Miyuki and the two women were.

"Ah, but even lessons can be quite a bit of fun," Lancaeriel said brightly, her eyes warm. "I always enjoyed learning when I was young. I still enjoy learning, actually. It's quite impossible to learn all that there is to know, but I enjoy the challenge of it."

She tilted her head slightly, her hair shimmering slightly as it rippled away from her. "What sort of lessons are you taking at the moment?"

As Lin and Andarien made their way to the women, Andarien's gaze fell to the floor, and he seemed to be watching it intently as they walked. Earendil followed just behind the two, watching Andarien curiously, to see if there were some sign of what the boy was seeing.

Miyuki had to think about it because minus arithmetic and languages most of her lessons were all over place. She hadn't had concrete lesson plans since she was sailing on the ship.

"Arithmetic, though I almost have all the basics so I'll be done that soon... languages, always to make sure I don't forget anything, and that includes writing. I'll be learning High Elven soon."

That was the last language she had to learn unless she wanted to learn Chinese, but it was just as useful as Japanese, she only learned it because it was a part of her own background.

"Staffwork, because I have to know at least one weapon, and I do katas for hand to hand sometimes in the morning."

Fighting was one of those things she tried to keep up with but didn't fret if she missed a few. Though she really was trying, she liked doing katas but she didn't like actual sparring.

"Sometimes I practice the flute, but then wherever we travel I can chose one different kind of lesson, but I haven't decided yet."

"Those all sound quite interesting," Lancaeriel mused. "I must admit, the flute is not my instrument of choice, but it does have a beautiful sound."

"Do you play?" Iorlas asked curiously.

The pale woman smiled at Iorlas. "How could I not? Music is a gift of Eru. My own talent, however, lies in stringed instruments."

"What kind of stringed instruments?" Miyuki wanted to know, "Shiro can play the violin."

She heard that often enough while traveling, it made the trip seemed shorter to hear music, especially when it was a long trip. Far more tedious than sailing.

"I can play a few," Lancaeriel admitted, "but the one I play the most is the lyre. It's one of the most portable instruments, and with how much I travel, that is very important for me."

"You make it sound as if you travel quite a bit," Earendil commented as he arrived with Lin and Andarien.

"Almost non-stop," the woman laughed softly. "From time to time, I will stop in a place for interest's sake, but ... no, for now I spend my life wandering."

"Where have you been?"

Miyuki was interested in this, because even though all she had known for most of her life was traveling, she knew she hadn't been everywhere yet.

"As many places as I have been able," the woman replied with a soft smile. "There are only a few countries on the continent of Arkandia and the land of Valeria that I have not yet seen. I do hope to see all of them, though."

There was a deep yearning in her eyes, a longing for something unspoken.

"Arkandia?" Miyuki asked.

She hadn't heard of that place before, at least she didn't think she had... as far as she knew.

Lancaeriel nodded. "I believe you have already been there, if I recall correctly," she said slowly, glancing at Iorlas to make sure that her information was indeed correct. "You ... saw the city of Caras Galadhon, in the country of Caras Galadhon?"

Of course, Iorlas only knew this from hearsay as well, though she did know for certain that that was where Luk was from.
