 "I… see." The girl's stowing-away sounded dubious, but she didn’t otherwise seem suspicious or dangerous. As she expressed her concern over the Electrode, Fin smiled. "It looks like it likes you, I'd say. But be careful not startle it. These guys have had it pretty rough with Team Rocket."

It was probably bad news when not even a healer could figure out where a pokemon’s mouth was. Still, Alastair listened with interest as Liam described the injuries, wondering if he should have become a healer. Then again, there was still time. It wasn’t like he was all old and crotchety. Just crotchety. Sometimes. On the bright side, this was a perfect opportunity for some interrogation of Liam! Insert dramatic music here…
But, before he could start any interrogation, Alastair found a potion being offered. “Oh. Umm… sure?” he said, unsure of what else to say. He wandered over to the other electrode and sprayed it with the potion unthinkingly, until he finally remembered that he was supposed to ask Liam about something important…
“Oh, by the way… you wouldn’t happen to know a girl named Malice, would you? It’s just that I’m pretty damn sure that she’s related to the Joys---she always gives me a pretty nasty glare whenever I ask about it, which is just as good as an admission---so… yeah. Just curious.” Actually, the fact that Mal always glared at him for asking about her family was probably a huge hint that he should stop trying to find things out about her family… but, he couldn’t help it! If she just told him, then he wouldn’t be all curious.
“I bet these are what caused the explosion earlier… I wonder where they got them. I didn’t think there were any electrodes out here,” Alastair added, after a brief moment of thought.

"Gyah! No licking!" Lock sighed softly but laughed anyways as he pushed the electrode off him and finish with the treatment. It wasn't a long one to apply, it just need to sit still and let the rest of the mixture work on its hard surface. "You seem overly already." He looked at Kira. "that's alright, I think I got it. Why don't you help scientists? they seemed shook up..."
He looked back at the pokemon. "I be they overload you and your friends with electricity. " He petted the electrode. "But that explosion was pretty bad, so you don't have enough energy to blow up again, do you?" The healer smiled before he called Faraon over. "Now stay still and my friend here will give you a small boost of energy."
Faraon curled around the base of the ball-like pokemon and released a weak electric attack, letting the other absorb it. The healer watched his watch. "10....that's enough, Fafa..."
Faraon stopped and uncurled, meowing before going back to cleaning his fur while Lock escorted the pokemon back to one of the wagons to let it sleep in peace.

Kiri tentatively reached out a hand to pat the Electrode. It responded by thrumming, which startled Kiri and made her jump back. The electrode jumped back as well, the same expression as Kiri had on her face plastered wide across its. "I think this one's mocking me!"

Alastair seemed a bit surprised when offered the potion, something that the healer could not resist grinning about. So, even the sarcastic Alistair could be surprised. The thought amused Liam and he laughed softly to himself, applying the gentle spray to the electrode, careful of the eyes.
"Can't say I have... but you know, there are so many Joys, it's pretty hard to keep up with them all... there seems to be at least one in each town, sometimes twins, occasionally a pair of cousins... if she is related to one of them I'm not surprised I'm not familiar with her," Grabbing his jacket, Liam brushed off a little of the mud coating an area he needed to get at, spraying it down as he spoke.
After a few moments more of making sure that the potion did it's job, Liam stood, brushing the dirt off his pants, ignoring the mud staining his knees and went to see how Alistair was doing. Surprisingly (or perhaps not so surprisingly -- the guy seemed pretty intelligent anyway) for once everything was going alright. At least nothing had sprung out of nowhere to attack them. Yet. "Probably. As for where they got them, they might have stolen them, they might have already had them, hell, they might have bred them," he growled, a little angry at the treatment of the pokemon, "This is why I hate Rockets."

"Well, maybe mimicking would be the right word." Kiri said as she bobbed left and right. The Electrode did the same, grinning mischievously. Kiri grinned back and patted the Electrode again, this time not being scared off by the happy thrum. "I like this one."

"All right, mimicking, then," Fin agreed, watching the Electrode copying the girl. She smiled as they seemed to be getting along. "I'm sure he's glad of someone friendly after being with Team Rocket." She frowned as her train of thought came back to the Rockets. How could they do this to Pokémon?

Well, so far, nothing had blown up in his face. Alastair always considered that to be a good sign, especially when doing something that really could blow up in his face. Although, a few times in his past, Alastair had managed to defeat that rule, the most memorable time involving an attempt to bake a birthday cake for a friend and a subsequent banning from the kitchen for life. Or, at least, until someone else needed help in the kitchen and they couldn’t find anyone else. Still! That was the past! And it didn’t matter at all now. Completely oblivious to the fact that he was apparently amusing Liam, Alastair merely felt proud of himself for not totally screwing something up.
Yeah. Silly of Alastair to hope that Liam might know Mal. It was such a sprawling family tree---actually, it was more like a vine with all that sprawling---it was impossible for every family member to know everyone else. Ah well, it was worth a try, wasn’t it? He nodded in agreement with Liam’s statements about hating Rockets; the Potion bottle shook a little in Alastair’s hand before he could control himself adequately and went on spraying the electrode until the Potion was gone.
“Yeah. That’s the problem with Team Rocket. They just don’t see things the same as other people. Mostly, they just see other people and pokémon as things. Tools, you know? Still… the fact that they just let these electrodes self-destruct and then left them under the rubble…” he sighed, and put a hand to his forehead, completely oblivious to the mud that was still on his palm. “It’s time like this that I wish I had my Faith-in-Humanity Pants.”

"See? I told you its friendly guys." Scientist two said, turning his head around to face the pachirisu and give it an earscratch. He liked to believe pokemon weren't dangerous. Nearly everyone in the pokemon world had dreams of developing a friendly relation or partnership with a pokemon while they were a kid and he was no different. "Good pachirisu..."
The other two looked at the pachirisu nervously. Scientist one just ended up scooting away from the pachirisu while scientist three leaned back and started napping. Scientist two could have his fun with the pachirisu, they didn't care. They just really wanted to forget the whole ordeal and rest.
((Kira, want to name the scientists? I'm sure they're tired of being nameless rofl ))

"Hm...I need to call you something."Kiri said to the Electrode, leaning back a little and taking a nice, long look at it. The Electrode mimicked her again, doing the same thing. "Smik. That's what I'll call you." Kiri told the newly-dubbed Smik, patting him on the head. "I know I probably won't get to keep you, but hey, I can at least call you something, right?" Kiri said, grinning at Smik. The electrode grinned right back, apparently happy.

Lock came back, watching a rather happy electrode entertaining some trainers. "....?" He tilted his head but said nothing as he walked back, seeing they had manage to dug up one more out. He began the same treatment as the other one. This time he began humming, since this one seem a bit more nervous then the last one.

Oh. He was shaking. Whether from anger or distress, Liam didn't know, but truthfully it probably didn't matter, in retrospect. He laid his hand on Alastair's shoulder anyway, a gesture he hoped was comforting. Or if not comforting, at least an indication he knew how he was feeling. After spending his entire life trying to save pokemon, Team Rocket tended to have an opposing point of view on the subject of pokemon. Taking the electrodes, for example. All living things breathed, whether it was water or air or otherwise (seriously, sometimes it seemed muk liked sulfur). If the electrodes had stayed buried beneath the rubble like that they certainly would have died, if not by suffocation, than by starvation.
Liam's other hand tightened slightly as he continued thinking, becoming more and more irritated by the second. That was, until Alastair mentioned his 'Faith in Humanity' pants, upon which the healer promptly burst out laughing.
"W-what?"

Katie closed her eyes as she was given even more attention, letting out a happy sound from her throat. Carefully, she took the finger giving her an earscratch and began cleaning it. She then put the finger back on her head and took his face in her paws, cleaning the tip of his nose.
Kira felt completely useless with all the stuff going around and sighed. Maybe she should go looking for Katie. Getting up and giving Lock one last glance, she decided she wouldn't be missed and took her leave. "Katie?" She called out as she got closer to the wagons.
Katie perked up and stopped cleaning when she heard her trainer calling her name. "Chiiii?"(Heehee, Kira is awesomely special! She wants to name them Steve, Joe and Frank!)

"Smik? That's a cute name," Fin said, grinning. "Speaking of names, I'm Fin, and this is Cadeaux." She pointed to her Delibird, who was still helping to dig out the remaining Electrodes. "Actually, I usually just call her Caddie. What's your name?"
