"No, i suppose i should get out....dont wanna get all pruney..." He said with a grin, standing up and letting the water slosh from his body. He felt....rejuvenated. He'd never really gotten into the whole 'hot springs' type of meditation, although his people had a history of sauna-use...he did like a good steam. He looked over to the little sauna in the corner of the room - maybe later, if he asked Raven nicely.
He couldn't figure out how to drain the bath until he realised he had to press a button beside the button for the jets, the button pushing the fixture up and allowing the water to sluice down into the drains. Grabbing a dry towel, he dried himself and placed it next to the bath before frowning - he was naked, and she had taken his clothes - what was he going to...?
He spied a set of clothes on the counter-top, supposedly set there by Raven when she'd come in - he'd had his eyes closed at the time and was enjoying his soak, so he couldn't remember...pulling the pants up, he frowned a little at their worn nature. "Whose the hell are these?" He murmured, turning them over in hsi hand. The pants had history, and were way too big for Rae to wear...were they an old lovers?
He didn't really enjoy the notion he was wearing another man's pants, but seeing as the alternative wasn't exactly right for the occasion, he slipped them on anyways. They were very snug, but they were better then nothing. Putting his arm back on, placing it to his shoulder with a 'kchik', he pulled on the tee, the shirt way too tight, stretching hard over his thick chest and biceps - the material held, however, so that was okay.
He walked out of the door to the master bathroom and walked down the stairs, looking to find Raven and hopefully some food....he didn't realise how hungry he was till just now. Outside, the storm was raging on, rain hammering down on the condo in sheets, lightening flashing in the distance...

Downstairs three large deep pizza boxes were set on the table along with a tinfoil container, a plastic container full of fresh mixed vegetable sticks, and a tall box that was already open, displaying a mountain of curly fries... apparently Rae had already started munching on those.
The hostess herself was in the kitchen, rummaging through the fridge in search of the elusive cans of beer she knew had to be hiding behind the soda and juice... she had bought the darn things specifically for guests after all, and she didn't think Bren had turned to drinking when he didn't even have any porn apparent in his room xp
"Aha!" Finding two she pulled them out along with a can of cola and headed back to the dining room with a pair of plates and a stack of paper napkins. "Ah, welcome to dinner at the Raven household Mr. Tomorrow! One of the pizza's should be a meat lovers, one supreme, and the other a half hawaiian and half just cheese and pineapple!" sweatdrop She didn't really like vegetarian pizza... some veggies just weren't meant to be baked and covered in cheese!
"The tin has chicken wings, a mix of honey garlic and spicy, and please remember to try and eat a few vegetables.. even if they are only fried potatoes!" xp That said she handed him a plate, set the napkins and the drinks down, and started lifting the lids of the pizza boxes, revealing large square deep dish pizzas, in search of the one with a half a dozen non meat laden slices.

He chuckled at all the food, shaking his head as he grabbed his plate and started filling it with food, grabbing two slices of each pizza, a handful of chicken wings and a handful of the curly fries - interesting! - before finally grabbing one of the beers, cracking it open with one hand to sip at it. "I hope you dont eat like this all the time Rae..." He said with a smirk. "Otherwise you'll just balloon out!" xp
His metabloism was off the charts, he burned through energy just by walking around - luckily she knew this, judging by the mountain of greasy food blaugh He did have a massive appetite!
He sat down beside her, sipping his beer before lifting a slice to his lips, biting into it noisily before looking around. "Uh, do you expect your kids back anytime soon?" He asked, trying to gauge whether he should limit himself or whether he should just pig out whee

By her nature she could burn through food rather easily as well, and food was technically just a hobby since she could literally sustain herself on magic alone. "Help yourself dear... it would be more likely for Vahn Fah to show up at my door than Sam and Bren... they only stay here when something at the stadium interests them."
She put a slice of pizza on the plate a handful of fries and filled the rest of the plate with veggie sticks. "Did you want to watch a movie or something?"

Not that he hated Kasuga...but he never missed an oppertunity to throw down with the great man. "Ah, i see...your boy must be quite strapping, if i can fit in his pants!" He said with a chuckle - the kid must've gotten the phyical aspect of Rae's fiery nature! "...A movie?" He asked, blinking in surprise and slight wonder. It had been years since he'd seen a movie. What was his favourite again? "...do you have Seven Samurai?"

"So far he appears to be taking after his father physically... I am glad for him, the poor boy would likely have a horrible complex if he ended up being short and pretty instead of tall and hansom." xp Then again Rae being a shapeshifter there really was no telling what sorts of physical attributes her children would have inherited despite Munin's tampering in her own conception.
She grinned and picked up her plate, a handful of napkins and the soda and moved towards the stairs again. "Better, I have the internet and I scared the installation fellow into assuring me that I have the fastest connection available without a military satellite!" 4laugh Not that she ever used it... Mostly it had been a gift for the kids since Sam was always surfing the net and she kept hoping Bren would find and interest in some game or another where he could socialize with boys his own age.
The basement had higher ceilings than was normal for such area's, but otherwise was normal with only tiny windows set high in the walls. At the bottom of the stairs was a living room area, two walls lined with high book shelves, and the third with a huge flat screen television set and a cabinet to hide all the game things and video equipment junk that the salesman had insisted was essential for a home theater...the outside wall had a shiny gas fireplace, and there were two other doors showing that the are under the rest of the house was still a bit larger, one door seemed to lead to the area under the garage, while the other would lead towards the back of the house since they were currently under the dining room and kitchen.
Raven set her food down on an end table beside the long leather sofa, flicking the switch to light the fireplace and pulled out the big remote with all it's buttons... frowning as she curled up in the corner of the sofa and tried to remember how to use the darn thing!
The power was easy enough, the screen flickering to life in a moment. Finding the internet options took a moment longer... but once that was running she simply use the tiny letter buttons to type in the movie she wanted and a status bar popped up telling her that the movie was downloading and would be done in about ten minutes!
That task completed she thought for a moment before scampering back upstairs to gather up the rest of the food... putting it on top of the fireplace box would keep it warm and they wouldn't have to go back upstairs for more food!

"Hmph...i'd like to meet the guy one day..." He said quietly, but Raven would be left guessing as to which guy he meant - the father, or the son!?
"Whats the 'internet'? He asked, confused by the term as he grabbed his beer and plate and followed her, gingerly balancing the plate in his real hand as he did - perhaps he'd stacked it a little too high? sweatdrop
"Oh wow...this place has everything!" John gasped, smiling at the size of the TV. "Thats the biggest TV i've ever seen!" He exclaimed - not true, he'd seen bigger screens but for a home TV it was the biggest hands-down.
Sitting down next to Raven, he looked around the basement as she fiddled with the remote, spying the bookshelf and standing to walk over to it as she tried to work it out. He didn't offer to help, he didn't want to fry the big TV so he stayed the hell away from it - already this place was buzzing more then the electical posts outside on the street.
Raven scampered up the stairs for some reason, John turning his head to watch her go, before looking back to the books, biting into a slice of pizza as he read some of the spines...

Tomorrow "Hmph...i'd like to meet the guy one day..." He said quietly, but Raven would be left guessing as to which guy he meant - the father, or the son!? That was an interesting little tidbit to ponder over... since he did know the father of her children, and she was kind of hoping he never met her son xp She rather liked Bren as the sweet and innocent boy he appeared to be now, and he didn't appear to be inclined towards fighting... Tomorrow Sitting down next to Raven, he looked around the basement as she fiddled with the remote, spying the bookshelf and standing to walk over to it as she tried to work it out. He didn't offer to help, he didn't want to fry the big TV so he stayed the hell away from it - already this place was buzzing more then the electrical posts outside on the street. Raven scampered up the stairs for some reason, John turning his head to watch her go, before looking back to the books, biting into a slice of pizza as he read some of the spines... Most of the books seemed to be history, some science, and a lot in different languages none of them appeared to be really new... this room felt lived in, but not by Raven... The fancy bathroom had more of her feel to it, even if it had been lacking in personal nick-nacks The hostess herself carefully climbed back down the stairs, balancing the tin of wings and the fries on top of the pizza boxes xp likely she was hoping John would really pig out.. so she didn't have to worry about the temptation of leftovers! " I'm not sure you will find anything interesting there... Sam doesn't seem to understand the concept of fun yet." sweatdrop She said as she set the boxes all down on the warm metal top of the fireplace, satisfied that they would stay toasty up there before she curled back up in her corner of the couch and looked over the remote again trying to remember how to start the movie. " I thought for a while that she might be getting the hang of being normal, what with the skateboard and all, but then she tried to explain to me how the concept of applying rune staffs to modern technology to make the two work in cooperation was fascinating... and I got a headache and stopped listening after she started naming the combination's she was trying." The TV flickered to a new screen, obviously asking if they wanted to play the newly downloaded movie and with a grin Rae hit the big OK button on the remote and dug into the fries on her plate while they were still nice and warm.

John nodded slowly, only half paying attention as he drew one of the tomes from the shelf, a large thick book which seemed well worn, as if it had been written decades ago but had sat neglected in some abandoned library until being rescued and winding up here. Books had history, just as much history as people, and John's eyes narrowed at the title of the book:
The History of the Clans, by Northblood Futhark
He opened the book to find it had easily been written well over a hundred years ago, and was a fifth editon - it had been typed into english for the ease of the reader, but several inscripts of Runes were still etched in the chapter names and annotations. Flicking through the pages, John realised at some point, someone had scrawled Runes within the margins and spaces of the book's pages, almost as if some Norse teenager had borrowed it and made notes for his history class within it's pages.
He frowned, irritated at his lack of knowledge of what they meant. There had been a time when he could read the Runes as easily as the alphabet - not anymore, it seemed. He knew he should be able to, he recognised them as Runes, but....they didn't decipher in his mind.
He shut the book quietly and replaced it to it's location, noting where it was - Raven deserved his attention now, but later on, perhaps when she was asleep, he would sneak down and perhaps do a bit of research into his murky past...
He walked back to her and sat down on the couch heavily, grabbing his food and his beer and putting his arm around her, snugging her close to him as he sipped his drink. "I dont remember much about this film, only that its very old and i liked it immensely when i first saw it - i hope you like it..."

HonoRaven " I haven't seen it before, so it should be an entertaining experience!" With a grin she snuggled in against him as the movie began. ((Dunno if you've seen Seven Samurai, so i'll just give you the broad strokes and demand you see it scream )) John smiled and kissed the top of her head as he wrapped his arm around her. The Seven Samurai is an old black-and-white japanese samurai movie. It has been regularly noted as being one of the main influences on westerns, and movie plots in general. The story was of a village of peasents who are beset by bandits, who plan to come and steal the villager's crops at harvest time. The villagers overhear this, and decide to hire seven samurai - in this case, masterless ronin - to protect them against the bandits. Drama, betrayl and redemption ensues. The ending wasn't very happy, John actually a bit upset that it ended the way it did, and rested his cheek against Raven's hair in contemplation. "Sorry Rae....i thought it ended on a better note..." He said, looking down at the empty plates before them and patting his stomach. During the course of the movie he'd demolished the majority of the food, even snacking on Rae's vegetables when she wasn't looking - now he was full and happy, except for that sucky ending.

((I looked, but didn't find a copy on my DVD rip blaugh ninja *hides behind TRON Legacy instead* ))
"It was good, although the ending defiantly could have been a lot less... dark." sweatdrop She smiled and swiveled her seat slightly to throw her legs over the arm of the sofa and plop her head down in his lap. "Another movie... my choice this time.. or did you want to do something else?"

He looked to the bookshelf again, but didn't linger - considering she thought her daughter was a complete bore when it came to such things, he didn't want to start doing them himself, especially on their first 'date'... "Another movie! As long as it's not one of those sappy romance things..." He said, pulling a face. "....Unless its funny!" xd

"Funny... hum..." Rae pondered it for a moment, her two favorites weren't really all that funny... but she had recently watched a very funny movie!
She snagged the remote, while keeping her comfy position with her head in John's lap and took a moment to remember how the PVR thingy worked, bringing up a list of movies she had saved and then selecting 'Date Night' before tossing the remote back on the coffee table. "This one starts off a little slow, but then the hilarity starts.. actually I think it reminds me a bit of our ability to fall into all sorts of odd situations!" xd

He could get used to normal.
