Looking over Liam he had no idea what he was thinking. Whether this was some sort of test or the male really did just no longer care about him mattered little. He tired of being talked down to. He thought Liam cared for him more than that but it seem that he was wrong. As he raised his hand, he barely noticed the sting after slapping him. He paid no mind to the other patrons as he yelled at him, daring to step closer as he practically spat at him. He hated him. With every fiber in his being in this moment, he hate him. When Alaine finished speaking, his whole body was shaking. He tried his best to keep still, watching the male shake his head and lean in close to him. As he listened to the male whisper in his ear, tears blurred his vision. It was all he could do to not blink them away. He took a shaky breath as the male pulled away and turned on his heel. Alaine watched him step away from him and leave the diner. When he was gone, he felt as though a weight had been lifted from the room and he could hardly stand. He sank into the chair behind him and sat there trembling. At last he allowed himself to blink. His tears slipping down his cheeks as he sat there feeling numb. He didn't understand what had just happened but at least it was over. As time began to move again, he vaguely heard their waitress beside him asking if they need refills or anything else. Alaine nodded silently, although he was sure he would not eat. Any appetite he had was gone. He wanted to just go back home, cry, and stay in bed. ******** the club, ******** Liam, and most of all ******** whatever sham of a relationship they had.

Out of all the parties involved in this little spat, he had almost forgotten that Jepsen was even here. Of course, it wasn't exactly his spat to begin. In some twisted way he had been swept up in it all, and had become some kind of pathetic target for Liam to use against him. Whatever they had, it was over. Alaine couldn't take this anymore. He too was beginning to see that he deserved better. He had to wonder if Liam was always like this or was he still trying to play the victim over a kiss? In the end he would probably never know. He wasn't putting up with it anyone. He wanted nothing further to do with Liam. He would not be allowed in his club or his life ever again. He saw no chance of being convinced that he deserved it otherwise.
Alaine sat there trembling with tears streaming down his face. He hated that it seemed to be becoming a habit that all he did in front of Jepsen was cry. He vaguely noticed the male leave his seat to come beside him. Hearing his question, Alaine shook his head. He was far from okay. But his throat was so tight, he didn't have the words to say so. Sniffling, he wiped at his face, knowing it would do little do. Hearing the male speak again, Alaine nodded. Yes, home. The place where he could cry his heart out and he wouldn't have to listen to the fake concerns of others. He didn't even want to open the club tonight. One of the other incompetent fools with a key could open it instead. Because even a stack of paperwork was not enough to hold himself together.

As of this moment Alaine didn't care if the club opened or not. He knew that Samuel might be a bit upset if he allowed it to stay closed, even for just one night. But he also knew that he would understand. Sometimes they both just needed a break from that place. Right now, Alaine was thinking of hoping on the first plane to Northern Canada and never looking back. Though he doubted Jepsen would allow him get on a plane. After all the male was hardly giving him much of a choice to drive himself back home. He was quite sure if he had told him no the male might follow or at the very least try to convince him to seek other transportation. It mattered little how close he lived to the diner. Nodding his head, he gave in to the males offer. He stared blankly as Jepsen stood up beside him. He hadn't even thought about getting out his own wallet for payment. Nor did it appear that the male was giving him much of an option to pay for his own food. Sniffling again, Alaine allowed the man to pull him to his feet. Together they shuffled through the diner, he could hear the whispers and feel the stares. What those people must have thought of him. He doubted it was anything good. As they walked out the door, Alaine couldn't help to look around to see if Liam was still lurking. He hated to know what he would have to say about him getting escorted from the diner or about him getting in Jepsen's car. Nothing good, he knew that at least. Or so he thought. Leaning against the car side more tears leaked out of the corners of his eyes. Why did Liam have to be like this? What changed in him? He wished he knew.

While driving himself would be easier, he had to agree in thinking that it might not be possible. It would be a pain to need to pull over because his vision was so blurred by tears. Or worse to get in a wreck for driving recklessly. Alaine scanned the parking lot but did not see Liam's car. He wondered if he had even driven there or did he simply walk? Although he saw no reason for the male to be lingering, it wouldn't be too surprising if he was doing just that. He sniffled again and wiped at his face. Beside him he heard the male speak again and nodded silently. Pushing himself off the car, Alaine dragged his body into the passenger side of the car. Quietly, he buckled himself up and pulled out his phone. He was in no mood to give turn by turn directions so he thought it best to allow Google to do it instead. Pulling up the maps app, he typed in his home address and picked the easiest route from here. He then handed the phone off to Jepsen and waited patiently for him to get in the car. After the door was shut, Alaine leaned his head against the window. Crying made him feel a bit better, but it did nothing for his thoughts. He'd probably never get the answers he wanted for how or why they ended up at this point. He wasn't even sure he wanted to know. Everything was so ******** up. It would probably be for the best to just forget all of it. He wasn't going to try to work things out with Liam.

Alaine was thankful that the male was not rushing him. If he did, he would have refused his initial offer to be taken home. But since he wasn't, he obediently did as he was told. After setting up the GPS and handing off his phone, he curled up against the door with his forehead resting against the window. Alaine was in no mood to sit here and talk about his feelings. Or anything else for that matter. He appreciated Jepsen's concern for him, but honestly he was better off alone. He waited patiently as the male settled behind the steering wheel and turned on the car. Alaine watched as they soon pulled out of the parking spot and he steered them towards the street. From his current view he saw no sign of Liam's car and that made him think he really was gone. Again. He worried this would continue to happen. One minute he would just be sitting there trying to enjoy his breakfast, the next he would be accused of sleeping with all his employees. The males words continued to ring in his head. He didn't understand why he thought that he was so uncaring. Sure they were probably not going out in the way that Liam would have preferred it. But did he at least not make it obvious that he was very much interested in him? Uncaring his a**. If he had been so uncaring he would told Liam that he could have stayed in New Orleans. Instead he worked his a** off to insure that the male still had a job to come home to. He waited everyday for Liam to get in touch with him. If anyone was uncaring, it wasn't Alaine. Closing his eyes, he let out a frustrated sighed and wiped away his tears. Sitting up, he turned towards Jepsen. "Be honest with me, is it too early to file a restraining order? Or should I just settle with changing my phone number?" he asked suddenly.

Although it seemed to him like a bit of an inconvenience, Samuel always appreciated that Micha took his allergy into consideration. While shellfish may not have been in the males top ten of favorite foods, he didn't want to stop him from eating it either. Samuel watched the male scan the various items as he tried to make up his mind. He wasn't one hundred percent sure, but he thought he knew what Micha had when they were here last. The one item mentioned at least sounded familiar. Or perhaps he was thinking of one of the other few times they were somewhere different to eat. It was honestly hard to remember. If they weren't in their usual booth at the diner, it seemed they were almost always at home ordering in, or he would standby while Micha cooked them something simple. The soon nodded, seeming to recall their last meal here as well. Samuel smiled back at the man as he mentioned trying something different. "Well if it's different you want, should we get some wine as well?" he asked curiously. Micha had mentioned something about not drinking anymore. But he wondered, this was a special occasion and all. He didn't think it would hut too much to indulge. If Micha didn't want any, he understood of course. It was just an idea.

There wasn’t a lot of things that they had eaten together unless it was take-out. It was simple and didn’t require too much effort. Micha needed to change that however. He wanted to have more meals with Samuel, that didn’t consist of take-out, or going to the diner. Micha didn’t mind however if it consisted of him cooking for Samuel. It would give them a chance to have more time together. He knew that Samuel would be busy, but perhaps he could request at least one night a week for them to have a decent meal together. Micha could bring it up perhaps later but not now. He glanced at Samuel as he spoke, questioning him about a choice of drink. Micha didn’t mind, as he nodded a little. ”Sure, I don’t mind a glass of wine, although I only drink white.” He spoke, as he didn’t drink it often, but had a dislike for red. Micha didn’t drink much anymore, but a glass of wine couldn’t hurt him.

Alaine knew how much Jepsen disliked Liam. At the moment, he was right there with him. He didn't understand this sudden change in Liam. Or perhaps it wasn't sudden at all. Perhaps after being separated for so long he was finally able to remove the rose colored glasses and see him for how he truly was. He could admit it now that while he was gone, he had felt some of that honeymoon like love ebb away. Only to have it replaced by feelings of anger and being abandoned. Alaine remained quiet for a good portion of the trip. From his perspective, the male doing fine. Even if they strayed a bit from his preferred path, he knew how to get him back on track. After wiping his face, he turned Jepsen, wanting his honest opinion. He couldn't say why, but he felt like right now he could trust him. That whatever he said would make sense. he watched the male give him a small shrug before speaking. Alaine nodded silently. As he thought, it made sense. "I should have seen it coming..." he replied, speaking just as softly. "He used to get crazy jealous like that when I would work late with Sam. And he's my ******** business partner! We share the club, we go to meetings, sometimes we travel together. Being with Sam is inevitable." Alaine furrowed his brows as he spoke. He felt like a fool for not seeing it before.

He never understood the point in being jealous. It wasn't as though it ever solved anything. And it certainly didn't make a conversation easier by any means. His relationship with Samuel had mostly been one of friendship and business. They had tried going out a few times, but in the end Alaine just wasn't feeling anything for him in that way. Thus he decided to cut ties to that part of their relationship. He knew for awhile afterwards that Samuel still held some kind of emotion for him, but that seemed to dwindle down after he got together with a regular customer. He was happy for him. From his point of view it seemed that Sam really cared for this guy. Not like the others he would casually hook up with and never speak to again. Alaine had always wanted something like that, but never wanted to put in the effort. He liked what he had with Liam. It was simple, casual, or so he thought. As the male provided his opinion once more, he frowned. How much time did Liam actually need? He wasn't a baby or a puppy. "I don't know. Maybe a few hours a week or so. Sometimes he'd spend the night and we'd go out to eat the next day. It seemed like enough to me. We'd only been together like a month or two, and then during the third month he was gone visiting family. Why? How much time do couples usually spend together?" he replied honestly. Alaine had never seen the appeal in being glued at the hip. It seemed desperate and overbearing. He wanted a boyfriend, not a nagging mother.
