Sorry guys, just haven't been able to motivate myself to post much lately. If y'all need me, I'll probably be curled up in my "nest", eating some type of chocolate, and watching either "Labyrinth" or "History of the World", maybe both.
Edit: After much consumption of all things sugary and unhealthy and watching aforementioned movies, along with a couple other remedies, I am back to my happy go lucky elf self. v(^^)v

We got rid of our cats today. Kestra had taken up the bad habit of peeing of my shoes, and it was really the last straw for my husband. And since one was going, the other had to go too. Hawk is lost without his girlfriend. I couldn't find anyone I knew to take them on, so we had to drop them off at the shelter. I miss my fluffy-cuddle-bunny. I want him back. crying

the developing story of the kitties has been a blow to kitty-lovers... Scarlet, I still am here to keep you company at night when you want to talk about it. sorry for having been away from skype last night. anywho, other than that, I have a friend who made this video. she wants it to help other people so she asked me to distribute it wherever I think would be good. Thanks. I just feel like I'm getting hammered from so many different directions right now. There's the cats...and my husband's wages are being garnished...which puts the one trip we take ever year to see my parents at risk...and then there's school...and now I think I've got a kidney infection...and then you remember that natural sub who latched on to me? Yeah, he's trying to re-latch, and I'm just so vulnerable at the moment that it's hard to push him away. So now every time someone asks how I'm doing, my response is "Crap-tastic!" But on the plus side, I've got almost 9 pages of comic sketched up. sweatdrop Good message, by the way. People definitely need to purge the bad influences from their lives, even if it seems rude or mean or if getting rid of the bad people means no one is left, you're better off alone than in the company of evil.

I can't imagine the best advice for you is to just steel up and tell him to get lost, but I honestly can't think of any better advice.... school can be a hard enough stressor on it's own, without taking finances into account. and between college tuition, student loan debt and an ailing economy... well, let's just say I feel your pain. I actually heard recently an explanation for why student debt has increased so much lately. there is this company, which used to be a branch of government but was later privatized and made into a publically tradable company, which offers federal loans mostly to students, but these loans are not guarunteed by the government. and they then profit off of the defaulted loans. so they have been lobbying for education cuts in order to keep students dependent on their loans. I did some research on eastern medicine recently. don't take my word for it, though, but I think I have a simple remedy for now.... try cutting back on salts and salty food for a while. too much salt can cause problems with the kidneys and urinary bladder, as well as increase fear and anxiety. I'm glad to hear about the comic strips. creative energies are still flowing nicely, which is good. smile I'd like to see them when I can. are they on DA already?

I'm inking the pages. Then I need to color them. I think I'm going to only partially color/tone them, and keep things in cool colors to emphasize the emotion of the comic instead of getting into the physical details.

Ha HA! Got the opportunity to fire up my computer again after FOREVER!
After the last 8 months of HELL, I think my life is finally starting to fall back into place.
My finances are shot after working at a job that only pays minimum for the last year. The recent work experience did me no good, and I was only clearing $30 a week by the time I taxes came out and I paid for gas for the commute...
So, I told 'em I was done with the 6 days/8 shifts a week last week...I couldn't afford to a sitter for the Summer on my wage anyways... They said they needed me full time or not at all, so I told them I was fine with the not at all.
2 days later, they called and asked me not to leave, they would accommodate me. I was reconsidering my resignation then my car died completely that same day . A sign? I think so. The car hadn't even been having any problems before that day. Now I don't have any way to get there.
My husband and I have finally worked through our s**t, and it feels better than ever. We still have some baggage, but we can talk it out now.
We are still hurting pretty bad moneywise. The house payment is behind, and now my car is an issue. I am trying to find a way to clear some cash from home. Clearing out the house for a garage sale, and trying to find someone to buy a piano and a cello (but not trying to hard on those rolleyes ).
I have been checking out Etsy, and considering what I want to do. My creatives have been pent up for so long that they are just exploding from me. LOL
I wove a hammock...
Started sculpting a elf head for a ball-joint-doll...
Landscaped my backyard...
Rearranged my whole house... My husband even got infected and started to help with that, which is weird, he normally hates when I do it, but now he is planning a whole kitchen remodel. LOL
And this all since Tuesday afternoon, and working afternoons after work, until Friday (when my car broke down) and then the weekend.
Am I excited? Yes... and it feels damn good. I haven't been in so long. The last 2 weeks have been a cloud 9 to my molten core of the earth Hell I have been in so long. Here's hoping that I can stay there for a few months.

Ever thought of getting into the promotional products industry? It's a lot of legwork, but the commissions can be quite sweet. smile By the way, I'm trying to nail down a "look" for my comic, so any input would be appreciated.

Elta, I'm so happy that things are getting better for you. smile that's great news, and I can worry less now. I wish you luck and fun with the remodeling, and I hope you make some good sales. I can't wait to see what sort of creations you come up with, and I may convince my girlfriend to buy some of them for me. ninja help out a friend, get nice things... it's a win-win scenario! mrgreen and Scarlet, I saw your new DA work. smile nice stuff! I am craving to see more, obviously. xd also, thought you'd like to know that I finally hopped on that Star Trek Band-Wagon. after a few episodes and a movie (not the new ones) I think I am a Picard fan. xd I also admire Data. he's pretty dang coolio. a friend of mine says I'm only a Picard fan because havn't seen the Kirk stuff yet. so I guess I need to see that stuff next to really be certain. but you were right, Star Trek is pretty cool. o.o
