Sayrike::Atlantica::Throne Room

A small frown crossed Sayrike's face as she concentrated on what Kyle and the others were saying. "Well..." she said slowly, "If you need someone to do recon and observation, I can do that too." The masked girl looked up and around at he others. "I think I could give you two more pairs of eyes up above, max. However, I'd be a little bit more distracted down here, trying to relay all the information I'm seeing, so I wouldn't be so great at attacking or quick defense while I'm observing." (More like it would be tough to direct two of her clones around the battlefield while being preoccupied with battling below.) "But, I could also show you what's going on by displaying images in my mirrors, if the visual would help more than me verbally relaying it. Oh! And I could try and Scan targets for you." Sayrike was a little hesitant about using Multiplicity in this instance, since she hadn't used it in battle yet, but she was pretty sure she could handle multitasking all right.

"But, of course, I mean, if you got the scouting stuff down, Bobbi, then don't let me take that away from you! I wouldn't really be able to have my eyes above attack anyone, anyway," Sayrike hastily backpedaled, not meaning to tread upon Bobbi's job. "Or..." she trailed off, mentally smacking herself for not thinking of it sooner, "I could also give you another couple pairs of eyes! You'd have to be able to handle directing one to two things at once, though, and I don't know how good you are at that, or if it'd be too distracting for you up there."

((edited in those last couple of sentences. I apparently can't recall my own moves properly at 3am.))

[ Kyle ; Sora ; Seymour ; Yuffie : Atlantica : Throne Room ]

"Dani, I'd say you'd probably be best in the front lines with Joe and Sora," he explained to her question, nodding toward her. "With chakrams and water, you'd make a great front line hit-and-run force--"

As he explained himself to Dani, Prote walked up and began speaking to Noelle. She noted that she would get the details from him before relaying them to the rest, and he nodded in response, turning back to listen to Jenny and Sayrike. He nodded to both of them, but something Sayrike mentioned made Kyle tense somewhat.

"I take it you're not aware that we can send images over the charms, as well," he said, his tone taking a bit of a mellow tone to it. "Meaning you were never shown the images of the army we're going against. I'll go ahead and send them to you, and anyone else, if you haven't seen it for yourselves."

At that point, Sayrike and anyone that spoke up would be given a vivid image of the dark army awaiting Atlantica*. When the image was through, he turned his attention back to the group.

"Not all of you are familiar with each of those enemies, so I guess this begins the 101," he explained, keeping his arms snugly crossed (which did nothing to hide the glowing seals on his arms). "The fish Heartless you all probably recognize, and even if you don't, the typical Heartless defense rules applies--don't let them get at your chest. Then there are the strange, countless small jellyfish, and none of us recognize that symbol. It's the pale white creatures that you should actually be more concerned about."

"Those are called Geists, and they are possibly the biggest threat on that field. They don't steal hearts--they steal memories. And all they need is a touch," he explained, eyes narrowing. "With every near-miss, with every graze, with every gentle touch, you will lose parts of yourself. From what I recall, they feed on the most recent memories first--the past hour, day, week, and so on. Their weakness--" he looked to Bobbi and Matthew. "--is cold. Ice. They rely on heat to sustain any sort of form, so if anyone has cooling magic, that would be your cue. We want them out faster than any other target on that field."

{Bobbi .:. Atlantica .:. Throne Room}

Bobbi continued to nod along with what everyone was saying, and saluted Jenny. It wasn't a goofy or ironic or mocking salute, either, but rather a serious gesture. She then grinned at Sayrike, and the girl's apparent hesitation to overstep her bounds.

"I'd rather you concentrate on defending the downstairs bit," she told the masked girl. "I don't know how well I'd be able to juggle two sets of eyes, so I'll have to decline there. If you can provide another set of eyes for scouting without compromising your other abilities, then go for it; otherwise, I'd feel better knowing we have one more set of weapons protecting the city."

As Kyle described the Geists, Bobbi shuddered a little.

"Joe and I had some experience with those guys," the Archer said for the benefit of those few who weren't with them in Narnia. "Nasty things. Don't touch them if you can help it. Dani, your water should be cool enough to give them pause, if I remember getting hit by your water bombs at the beach right. Anyone who doesn't have a means of producing ice or cold, let me know. Shiva showed me how to give some of my Ice magic to someone else. Like how my arrows have Ice element or whatever, I can do that for someone else's weapon. I can only do it for one person, and I don't know how long it lasts, but it's better than nothing."

(OoC: Okay, Kyle, I think I fixed it good enough. >.>)

{Demyx .:. Black Pearl .:. Deck}

Demyx shrugged in response to Leon's question.

"What Axel said. Won't know what'll happen until it happens, right?" Then, in response to Axel's goofing off, the Melodious Nocturne held his hands up defensively. "I don't have any munny to make a bet with, man. Count me out!"

Sayrike::Atlantica::Throne Room

"I didn't know about anyone else, I just thought that having the images projected in front of me on my mirrors would be a lot easier than having them beamed into my head, or into whoever is going to be directing everyone on the battlefield," she shrugged. She'd have enough of a time concentrating on directing her illusions, if she was called on to do that. "Plus not everyone has charms, so I could use one of my mirrors as a televis---err, a screen, for those who can't see what the rest of us see." Sayrike wanted to avoid a repeat performance of accidentally hurting those without charms who couldn't hear the directions and chatter that went on psychically between the rest of them. One never knew what might happen in the coming conflict.

After hearing Bobbi's reply, Sayrike said, "Well, I can comfortably send one scout up there. It's important to pair up, right? In case something happens to you. Besides, my mirrors will be down here with me." She grinned, trying to reassure the archer.

<> she sent privately over to Bobbi over the charms, <>

Gosh, why am I so forward today?

[[Louis : Flying Dutchman : Deck]]

The armored sentinel stood beside his hulking, black crystal bodyguard, silent and unresponsive to the crap storm, political intimidation, and hot-air canon fire creating a ruckus before him. Ajora's threats worked well enough. Most of the rabble scattered with a feigned regal-air or shut up entirely to preserve whatever dignity or image they could.

Louis was never going to step in. If the b*****d children wished to end their own lives by killing each other off so early and act exactly as Louis anticipated, he would let them. It only went to show that they were never worth it to being with. The only ones out of the group that even raised any level of concern were Alice and Nick, both unique and valuable if only due to their state as avatars to beings that concerned him. Alice, in-particular, peaked Louis' curiosity.

[[Louis : Shipwreck Cove : Docks >> ???]]

Figures Barbossa would be more difficult than the captain of the Dutchman, "I wouldn't insist if the topic were not so sensitive, but I can see you're busy. I'll take my leave then," and without another word he vanished with the darkness as fast as he'd arrived, leaving behind little more than a wisp of black that dissipated with the wind.

Louis reappeared in a dark, moist room. His feet squelched with each step on the wet floor till he reached a thin red cloth. He picked it up off the table and shook it out, test how heavy it was and if the dye had yet to dry. All the while a conversation dragged on in the back of his mind.

If you couldn't get him to delay, what will you do?

There are other means of completing the overarching goal, and many means to satisfy that specific objective... drastic ones if necessary.

Don't do anything too reckless... you can't compromise yourself yet.

I'm aware Mateus... you don't need to remind me, Louis laid the cloth back out on the table and strolled over to a mass in the corner where a stench was beginning to spread.

If you loose your usefulness-

Enough Mateus! I'm fully capable of figuring that out myself. My usefulness does not exist simply in the convenience this persona supplies. Besides, by either outcome of this battle the shackles of that man are broken and I will move freely again.

The pawns are already in position ensuring this... but should this bear no fruit, will it not all have just been a waste?

I will do everything possible, even take drastic measures if need be to ensure our goals are fulfilled. Besides, it can't be a waste. If nothing else, I will learn an important lesson from this series of events and be able to act upon it in the future.

And what would that be?

There was a silence on the other end for a moment as Louis called in several heartless that swarmed the mass, making it disappear entirely after a few moments of silent rips, crunches, and snaps, That either free will or fate sets the direction of our future. Are gods to be bound by rules or free to make their own decisions? I will see it is one way or the other when this is all over.

I hope you're right.

The line went dead once again as the conversation ended and Louis returned to the cloth in the center of the room. He picked it up and shook it out one last time before opening a portal, Momento Mori.

[ Amy : Red Rose ]

That jump in the water had been nice, but short lived. Because she didn't intend to go with the group, she didn't go completely under the water for any extended period of time, and thus her Dressphere didn't find it necessary to give her any fins.

She was on the Red Rose once again, and she was hungry, too. The world was forced to a slower pace for her as she took her time eating cheerios, of all things, covered with honey and a few banana slices. The ship's cabinets were magical, and had whatever she wanted to eat; all she had to do was close them and re-open them. Amazing. She should capitalize on it. Steal the ship, take it to some foreign land (shouldn't be hard), and charge people X amount of dollars/gold/euros/what-have-you to eat whatever food they could think of. Or solve the problem of, oh, famine, in some impoverished place, and everyone would love her and call her awesome, and she would be awesome, and awesome she would be.

The charms may or may not have been interfering with her this entire time. There was probably another battle going on, or about to go on, again, for reasons she didn't completely understand, being the queen of oblivious. She would become even further out of the know now; removing her charm from her Dressphere, she placed it on the table. Remembering how people could yell over it, and communicated willy nilly with all people simultaneously if they wished, she summoned one of her guns and made a split second decision. She shot the damn thing.

Amy smiled and continued eating her cheerios.

[ Narration ]

The bullet ricocheted violently around the room before vanishing, as magic bullets are wont to do.

The charm was entirely unaffected.

{Leon : Shipwreck Cove : Black Pearl's Deck}

Leon nodded his head in understanding to Axel and Demyx's words. Their responses didn't really surprise him. However, he was unsure of what he thought about them staying. They were only really useful to the group because of their powers. It was impossible to tell just what use they might have after they got their hearts back, just as Demyx had said.

"Time will tell then I guess," Leon replied as he walked away from the two and walked back to where he had been to return to his warm up.

[Dawn : Shipwreck Cove : Black Pearl]

Dawn stared at John with narrowed eyes, that read only that he damn well hold to that or she would do just as she promised. She soon joined him at the railing looking at the sea with a heavy sigh.

"Your guess is as good as mine," she told him honestly, "At this point I think they are just toying with us." she paused and sighed heavily looking down as her hands clutched the railing. "I just want this nightmare to be over and get James back."

[ Amy : Red Rose ]

After throwing her arms in front of her face to protect herself from her own bullet, Amy saw that the charm remained intact.

"Why you b***h."

The cheerios were abandoned; Amy took the charm immediately outside the ship, passing a few random canons on the way, I'm sure, but saying nothing to them, intent on her goal. She placed the charm on the ground, and unleashed a Trigger Happy on it.

[ Narration ]

Every bullet ricocheted off the charm, sending stray shots in random directions. Luckily, having just come out of the Rose, she was on the higher balconies, so the what shots didn't end up in the wooden structures, just got lodged in the rock walls.

Again, the charm was unharmed.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 15, 2012 8:26 pm

[ Amy : Red Rose ]

Brown eyes narrowed dangerously.

"So it's gonna be like that, is it? Huh. We'll see."

The balcony didn't look particularly, hm, fitting for what she had in mind, so grabbing her charm once again, she moved down to the next, and the next after that, until she was on the pier, and near the water.

The walk gave her plenty of time to charge her weapons. She flung the charm into the air over the ocean, and shot a Ruby Cannon blast at it, which hit it squarely.

[ Narration ]

The charm was sent flying along with the Ruby Cannon blast, colliding with the rock wall and erupting. The crystals of the blast slowly vanished...

... but the Trinity Charm merely fell into the water beneath, still in one piece.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 15, 2012 8:39 pm

[ Amy : Red Rose ]

Amy watched, straight faced, as the unharmed charm fell into the ocean. Her eye twitched.

Boots thumped along the remainder of the pier as she got a running start on her dive. Once again, the water didn't seem cold, courtesy of the dressphere. She was fully submerged in the water now, and staying under to get as much distance out of the dive as she could. Her feet, curiously, stuck together, and she looked back to find they had been replaced with a glimmering pink mermaid fin. She could also breathe!

"This is the coolest thing ever!" she said, just to see if she could talk, too. Her top had been replaced with matching sea shells, and she gloried in that she must look totally hot while also being incredibly thankful there was no-one around to see her.

She surveyed her surroundings.

[Noelle .:. Prote ~ Atlantica ~ Throne Room ]

"There's more to do then just shoot a bunch of ice," Noelle interjected, having finished her conversation with Prote. "It's not our only defense, so if you've not got a means of cooling things you'll be okay. Keep on the move, agility is key with these guys. They're not particularly fast until they're closer to Prote's level. Stay just out of reach and attack--the more they phase, the more energy they use and heat they lose, same goes with hits. All energy used to repair the facade is heat lost. Anyway, we ready for the low down on the new beasties?"
