Mephlius smiled. "It wasn't nearly as corny as my line..." His voice was heavy with sarcasm as he enacted the scene from The Wizard of Oz. "I'm meeelllttinnggg! Oh, what a world!" He rolled his eyes, laughing a bit. But then, something caught his hearing. He turned to look at the TV, which had been left on the news. How long has that been on? He paused a bit, but then he realized why it had caught his attention. The story detailed that was, according to police, a horrible car crash. The reporter spoke...

::"This was the scene at 3rd and Park Street today..." It showed a picture of a pile of rubble, roughly resembling two police cars, except they had been pried open. "... where, what is expected to be a high speed collision, left two Police Cars horribly entangled. One officer was found in the midst of the twisted metal, while another was nearly crushed by it. Yet a third officer was flung from the vehicles. It just goes to show that everyone, even police officers, can be a victim of car accidents. Back to you, Bill."::

Mephlius watched the morbid story, laughing a bit. "Wow. Ab-so-lute-ly wow..." He stared at the screen in disbelief.

Mephlius turned back to Amnity, still laughing a little bit. 5 words would define the entire situation. "I was in the news."

Mephlius frowned a bit. "Now now... calm down a bit. I made sure none of them were seriously hurt... err, actually... You did that. I lost control... and the cops weren't too happy about that. And well... that was the result. But don't worry... you stopped me before I went too far. And none of them were seriously injured, they'll just be out of the field for a few months. Which is good, because they'll probably be under mental review for the next few months, since they'll claim a single man caused all this damage." He shrugged. "I told you... I've done much worse, at much less urging. It's just a penalty of being a lycan, who was at the time, in an emotional struggle."

Mephlius sighed, then smiled a bit. "Let's just say... you're not the only one who's been having voices in their head..." He raised up his arm, as if to shrug off the one on his shoulder. But he actually just slid it around, took a step toward her, and put his arm over her shoulder. "Now please... calm down a bit?"

Mephlius smiled. "There, now." He wrapped his other arm around her, giving her a quick hug before letting go. He reached over, and turned off the TV. "Now then... you wanna go somewhere?"

Mephlius opened his eyes wide. "Uh... right... wild parties..." He chuckled a bit. "Well... it's a funny story. You see... uh... My... Lycan side... wanted to have party. Yeah..." He was clearly being sarcastic.

Mephlius frowned a bit. He took up her free hand in one of his, and put his forehead against hers, so if she lowered her hand, their eyes would meet. He spoke softly. "I was so worried about you, Am. At first, I just wondered what you were doing, and where you were. But after a while... I started wondering if something had gone wrong. If you'd gone lycan in public and been arrested, or... if something happened during the full moon and you were kil..." He couldn't finish the word. "Werewolf Pirates You couldn't even leave my dreams..." He corrected himself. "...nightmares." He paused a moment, then smiled. "You have no idea how happy I am to see you." His smile widened a bit. "Really. As in... this is almost up there with you saying 'Yes'."
