Bakura snarled under his breath. "Of course, you stupid wench." He snapped. Wench was a word had hadn't used too often anymore. "Now get out. Both of you."

Ayira sighed and left the room.

Seto followed Ayira, but didn't go too far away from the door. He caught Ayira by the elbow and pulled her close as Bakura shut the door. He had been unable to help but remember the awful times when Ayira had died. "There isn't a way to bring her back." He said, partially to himself. "The spell I used for you-- and Bakura-- was a once every century kind of deal."

Seto frowned at Ayira's odd choice of words. "Right. Anyway, I just wanted to clear that up. Bakura couldn't--" "Is she dead?" The voice came from the rapidly approaching form of the pharaoh. "A servant just told me Bakura arrived covered in blood. Is Rei dead?" He repeated his question, though it wasn't really necessary. Seto stiffened but nodded gravely.

"And Mariku? He's dead too, right?" Atem prompted, looking expectantly at Seto. Seto nodded a bit grudgingly, and Atem smiled. "That's good, at least. Hey, Seto, how long would it take me to marry again?" Seto was a bit too startled to answer at first. Atem always depended on him for information such as this, and he was always obliged to answer. "As soon as you wish, my pharaoh, to begin to call someone your wife. It will take a few hours at least to begin to form a celebration. Maybe a day or two to officiate it, put it in proper writing. Who is it you want to marry?" "Ayira." Atem replied quickly, though that wasn't who he wanted to marry at all. He just wanted to drag a reaction out of the two.

"A man can't help himself but try, can he?" Atem said, with another smile. "No, it's another servant." Seto groaned, and Atem looked somewhat sheepish. "I seem to have a thing for them. Sorry. But her name is Kabi. She's really nice, and... pregnant. She claims it will be a son, and I don't want it to be illegitimate."

A healer came up noticing ayira "Miss ayira you should not be up! your still injured!"
"...it's only my tougne..." ayira said.

Atem glared at the healer. He never appreciated it when servants, minor cleaners or healers alike, ignored his presence, and didn't like it more when they spoke in such forceful tones to... well, anyone. Servants should be submissive and quiet. "Seto..." He said in a low, angry voice. "See to it that this person is dead by sunrise. Ignoring the pharaoh's presence cannot be taken lightly." Seto bowed stiffly to Atem, murmuring his usual, 'yes, pharaoh...'

[Hmph. How convenient...]
Atem gave a sharp nod to Seto's inquiring gaze. Seto looked grim, but straightened up. "Come with me." He said quietly, grimly, taking a tight hold of the healer's arm.

"I'm pharaoh. What I say goes." Atem said, clearly pleased with himself. At times like this, he really liked causing the death of others.
