Thanks, and yeah, you've not had an easy time of it, either. Ah well, making up for it over the coming weekends it is. smile

Ouch. Will you be able to partake in any tabletopping like you mentioned doing a bit ago, or did the recent firings nix your chances for that?

I am still putting forth my best effort. I work tomorrow until 4pm or so, and as soon as I leave there (and get some grub), I will be at the game. It is important to me . . . and frankly, I could use some good times. Certain conversations lately weigh heavily upon my mind.

I hope you can get out to the game, as I know that's got to be a good stress reliever.

It is, and I may sneak out to be with him sooner. The guy running it is one of my oldest friends, and we have started to call one another "Brother." Despite what can be said about him . . . he has always been there for me in the past 13 years. Never made me question his loyalty or if he was on my side in anything. That more than earns my calling him kin. He will never succeed in life, never amount to much, and is crafty as all get-out, but he is likely the greatest friend I've ever had in person.

Is this Gabriel Stryffe?
I used to have a female friend that I was that close with; we also referred to each other as siblings. However, now she's living in TX where she attended college and has gotten married. College sadly made us lose touch, and, though I would have no problem re-establishing contact, I don't feel that going back to our former closeness would be appropriate now that she is married.

A good guess, as he is my brother as well, but no. This one . . . well, I don't know his handle. His name is Scott, and he claims to have an account here, but I don't know. he doesn't have internet at his house.
As for the friend . . . I think recalling friendship would be good, but being aware of how that might affect her life now is a noble thing. If you wish to talk with her, I'd suggest reaching out tentatively. Feel out how the friendship goes, and have no expectations.

Ah, all right.
I think I just might. Now I just need to find the time to maintain another friendship. xp

The textual method of communication helps a lot toward my ability to keep up here. My IRL friends require much time speaking verbally which is why I cannot juggle too many of them w/ my work and care-giving responsibilities and my somewhat-necessary anime time.
