Sgt_OBrien scurr Sgt_OBrien scurr Sgt_OBrien scurr i put mine into an anti infantry squad(H bolters,plasma cannon,etc.) and an Anti-tank squad (rockets and multi meltas) I haven't played with multimeltas much yet in devastator squads, I was worried about having to get them into position. all i do with them is draw tanks in close and shoot them with them,purely because multi-,meltas have a pretty crap range. Hmm.. It might be fun to drop pod 4 meltas into the middle of the field. = o it would, i prefer suicide bike squads armed with meltas and a power fist. it works i almost took out a land raider before i was shot to crap by a squad of marines. Bikers don't seem to be as useful as they used to be, now that they're not scoring units. They're pretty much just an interesting support choice. Mine at the moment have a power weapon and a plasma gun. i just hide mine and move around the board edge then when i have a chance, make a mad dash to the nearest enemy vehicle.

Codex books are balanced internally, not externally. If this wasn't the case we wouldn't be having storm troopers at 16 pts a model.

Then sponsons are 40 for Pcannon so maybe cut off 10 points from sponsons to gun... 25 points is gun 30 points for sponsons. hmmm but wait... ok instead make the gun 40 and the sponsons 25?

Also, I edited the front armor back down to 13. Really, the lascannon options could be removed unless I made it a Gatling Lascannon (meaning d3 shots).

Caleidah Also, I edited the front armor back down to 13. Really, the lascannon options could be removed unless I made it a Gatling Lascannon (meaning d3 shots). That'd probably make Ms. Sucubi pretty happy. wink Never eve thouht about a gatling lascannon before. o o

yea its about 70 points cheaper then an equal counterpart but i thought of a way to balance it...
Special Rule: Its To Hot Sir (or something equal) If the gun roles a 1 or 2 on both dice then the gun crew initiates emergency cool down procedures to keep from damaging the weapons. On the following turn no weapons may be fired as the crew attempts to cool the guns.

Given that they're Space Marines and would have even more highly advanced cooling systems on a larger plasma cannon, I don't think that would be as much of an issue. If they took Plasma Cannons all around, rolling a d6 before the turn for that would work though. If it is a 1, the Plasma Reactor starts overheating and the weapons cannot fire that turn.
