I've grown accustomed to it... but sometimes, when I touch new things, I have trouble gauging...
:::She places the ball down gently. Just then she sees her hands fade. She looks up at Maggie, and is reassured that she is sitting...besides, her heart beat is stable now:::

*Maggie watches as Cora vanishes, then speaks toward the spot where she was a moment ago* Be well, Cora . . .

*Maggie rises, walking over towards where Cora left the basketball, but she fades out before she reaches it*
**Exit Maggie**

Tac slowly faded in walking at a steady pace, gun drawn and trenchcoat pulled around him tightly. He was looking around, as if chasing a suspect, or maybe just patrolling a bad area. As he saw the surrounding shift from the slums of Barton to tables and chairs of the Brink he put the safety on Orcus, pulling apart his coat to place Orcus back in his holster. He smiled, he needed a break from the monotony, and this sure did it. He popped over to the bar in search of a diet coke, preferably with lime.

:::Cora faded in, she was dressed in her uniform, and seated at a table. She immidately stopped focusing on what she had been, and looked around. When she saw Tac there, she felt some sort of weight lift off her shoulder, but only for the moment. She quickly recalled what had happened last time she appeared there:::
:::She was at a loss for words:::

Tac didn't notice Cora at first, rumaging through the fridge behind the bar. He popped up holding two cans, "Hmm...Diet Squirt or Diet Coke, provided I can find a lime..."

:::She watched him for a moment, wondering what it would mean to him that she did something with another person, that she was only supposed to do with him. She only knew how to be honest...but was it a lie if she didn't say anything. She had trouble understanding the feeling coming over her. It was at the pit of her stomach. It wasn't embarassment, it almost felt worse:::

Tac shook his head, unable to decide and looked up, spotting Cora, "Hey Cora! Want something to drink? Its not wine by any means, but something I drink every day."

:::She snapped out of it a bit as he finally noticed her there. She still felt as though she couldn't speak, so she just nodded her head, expressionless:::

Still undecided, for the most part, he shrugged, bringing them both over as he walked around the bar. As he sat down across from her he started to explain the difference between the two, but stopped as he saw her expression up close, "You ok? You seem a bit, out of it I guess would be the best way to describe it."

I... :::Her voice cracked a bit. She gave herself a second to figure out what she would say:::
I...embarassed myself, the last time I was here. I did something that was not appropriate. :::She gulped::: I did not know...

He scooted his chair around the table next to her, putting an arm around her shoulder, "Its ok. Most people do embarassing stuff from time to time. Its part of being human. Especially when you're learning new things. I compare it to going to another country, or for me specifically a time, where one doesn't know the customs. If you slip up, its ok, we're all still learning all throughout our lives. Unless you're some form of perfect being, but I haven't met one of those yet. Come on, cheer up. Have a Coke, Coke heals all." He popped open the can and slid it to her.

:::Cora was glad he didn't actually ask her what it is she did. She'd heard them say those words before, and they weren't nearly as reassuring as his arm around her. She sighed, and took the can:::
Thank you...

He kept his arm around her, but with the other he gently turned her hace so he could look into her eyes, "Come on, tell me whats got you down."
