It didn't take long for Rei to find a Pokémon to fight. A Foongus, eager to avenge his fallen comrades, challenged him.
Rei casually sent out his Vulpix.
"Flamethrower. Let's be quick, the team is probably waiting for us."
She spewed out a pile of flames, accepting the Foongus's poison powder attack. With another fire attack, the enemy fell.
"Easy." With that, he followed up to meet the group.
When he finally found his companions, he noticed everyone was under attack by a number of Ice-type Pokémon. He sighed. There really only was one way for his Bagon to develop a resistance to the cold.
"Go on, Emo Cloud. Try your best." A shivering Bagon jumped from the ball and faced his first enemy, a Swinub.
"Ember." The Bagon opened its mouth and spewed a pitiful bit of flame against the Swinub. It snorted and blew a powerful blast of wind and snow at the Bagon. It held on long enough to try Embering it again before passing out. Rei sighed. It was a good effort.
Time to be equally unforgiving to his next Pokémon.
"Come on, Gex. Emo Cloud went through it, you're next." His Treecko hopped out and gave Rei a questioning look.
"Just think of it as endurance training, Gex." The gecko was not pleased. At least he could defeat the Swinub without too much trouble. The Treecko pulled up a Energy Ball and threw it at the Swinub. The damage was significantly higher than the last Pokémon's attempt, but it was at a low enough health to pass out. Rei patted his gecko on the head.
"See, that wasn't so hard, right?" The Treecko turned, about to respond, when a chilling beam of ice froze the gecko solid. Surprised, Rei turned to face the new enemy.
A Cryogonal stared back at him, staring at his now frozen Pokémon. Rei's endurance training reached its end.
"Crap." He returned his unfortunate Treecko. After pausing to consider his options, he tossed out his Seadra.
"Leviathan, I'd prefer this one alive enough for capture, but that doesn't mean we're going easy on it. Focus Energy." The Seadra immediately began building pressure in her snout, using her Scope Lens to highlight weak points. The Cryogonal took that moment to prove to Rei how dangerous it was. Using the surrounding air, it drastically cooled the Seadra's core temperature, attempting to knock it out through hypothermia. Freeze-Dry was devastating to Water types. The Seadra barely hung on to life, honestly shocked at the attack's potency. Enraged, she shot out a cannon-blast of water at the Cryogonal, right at a crack in its otherwise perfect ice armor. The move was a critical hit!
But the Cryogonal didn't fall, and in return, it freeze-dried the Seadra. Rei cringed. Two frozen Pokémon. This place was dangerous for his team. His Zubat huddled closer to his neck, afraid it would be next to the slaughter. Rei sighed.
"Vulpix, you're gonna have to finish this one off. Fire Spin," he commanded. The Vulpix obediently sent a vortex of fire at the Cryogonal, trapping it. Shards of ice flew out towards Vulpix, but it kept the fire burning until Rei commanded her to stop.
The Aquan pulled out a Premier Ball and tossed it at the Cryogonal. With each shake of the ball, Rei worried more and more about the situation.
Wobble. His Vulpix was still poisoned, and couldn't stand another hit.
Wobble. The rest of his team was either incapacitated or would fall in one or two hits with the ice.
Wobble. And he didn't even have a revive at hand.
Click.
Rei let out a sigh of relief. That would have ended terribly if it went for much longer.

Once the battles were finished up, Maddy rushed the cart the rest of the way to Anistar City. "WE'RE DONE!" She cried, freeing all the Pokemon attached to the cart. Her Skiddo gladly jumped free and burst into a white light, evolving into a Gogoat. "The parts can stay here for now. This mission is done!" She said, taking a list out of her pocket and crossing something off. "Repairing of the submarine can now commence... At your leisure. Thanks for the help today, guys!"

After returning to Anistair, Rose got a nights sleep and then headed out to the Submarine, accompanied by her Marill, to see what she could do to assist with the repairs.

Maddy had gotten the cart of machine parts over to the submarine and was currently working on removing all the old, unusable parts from the submarine. She thought that the Ambrette Aquarium had donated more parts than she needed, but after opening up the submarine and peering inside, it seemed that they had just enough. "Geez... I'm gonna have to rebuild this damn thing..." Maddy grumbled to herself, wiping some sweat from her brow with a cloth that she had stuffed in her pocket.

"Hey boss."Rose said as she and her Marill found Maddy inside the Submarine "It seems you had the same idea as me, to come work on the submarine. So what needs to be done?" Rose asked her
She saw a battery nearby that was large, old, and heavily corroded. She stated removing the connectors and found a tool to start removing the corrosion while she awaited further instructions.

Michael wandered around for a while wondering what to do when he saw the sub. Looking around he noticed Maddy working on the sub and decided to help. "Hey need some help Captain?" He reached into the cart and found so sparkplugs, and proceded to remove the old ones and replace them.

Caleb wasn't going to miss out on helping repair the sub this time! He and his Marshtomp rushed over with some tools. Looking from the cart to the sub, Caleb gestured to the new propeller. With his pokemon's help, he carried it over and replaced it with the old one. He made sure it was safely secured before moving the old one to the slowly growing junk pile.

Maddy had just finished removing all the old parts from the sub. She turned to Rose to answer her question. "I guess we need to make all those new parts fit in here now..." She said. "The steering wheel and all those buttons in the cockpit kinda need an overhaul too." It seemed the submarine would have more functionality once they were done. "We're also replacing the thrusters. Gotta make this sub super fast." She started hauling some engine parts over to the sub and began fitting it with it's new engine.

Rose nodded to Maddy, and once she finished removing the corrosion from the battery connectors, she headed over to start working on the steering wheel, thinking to look through the tools and see if they received a replacement battery or some sort of power source from the Aquarium after she finished the steering wheel.
She started taking out the old steering wheel so that she could put the new one in.

Dark was in a nearby arcade. He could see the rest of the team from out the window, but he was too busy playing games. "So... hit confirm into hairball, cancel to Gregor samson..." He mumbles as he plays. Brick the Tyranitar was watching Dark's game intently before his stomach began rumbling. He decided to go off and look for food before noticing the group of Aquas. He moseys on over and watches, not sure what to do with the repairs of the vehicle.

Michael continued working on the engine and areas around it. He began removing the belt which was really stuck. He stuck his head out of the sub and looked around for some help. He noticed Caesar on the ground and said. "Hey come give me a hand, Caesar." He pointed out the belt and told him to hold it steady while he pried it off. After a few tries it went flying off and a new one was added. 7/15
Caesar walked towards the sub due to all the commotion coming from the general direction and noticed members working on it. He was about to ask how he could help when he heard a voice from the sub. Looking up he saw the rear end of Michael hanging out the engine compartment. He just nodded at what Michael said and climbed up. When he reached the top he said. "What do you need me to do?" Listening to Michael he gripped the belt and pulled while Michael used a screwdriver to loosen it and pry it off, and the two added a new belt.

Caleb and his Marshtomp moved on to work on the rudder and the hydroplanes. After replacing the rudder fins and fastening everything down properly, he made sure everything was well oiled. No squeaky parts on his watch!

With the steering wheel replaced, that was the easy part here. Rose studied some instructions as she started working on the electronics there, installing new panels and monitors, and replacing old wiring. Fortunately, she had already disconnected the battery, so she didn't have to worry about getting electrocuted while she was working, which was a good thing.

Maddy noticed Brick arrive and smiled at the Pokemon. She really liked Tyranitars. "Brick, could you help hold some of the heavier parts in place while I install them?" She asked the Pokemon. "Some of them are just a little too heavy and awkward for me on my own." That being said, she had already finished installing the new engine. Now it was just a matter of getting all the other random parts back in place. She hoped it wouldn't be too difficult.
