at my school they consider rock opera a musical... even though the styles are musically different... the technique in singing is also different...(idk about acting. i just play in the pit orchestra offstage) we are doing Jesus Christ superstar this year. the set up looks good i should redo the music hall so it is as organized...

^.^
There's a difference. In Operas all the words are sung and ver. very little dialogue; in musicals there are certain songs in them but just as much dialogue as singing. Kyara hates classical musicals and will only do Rock Opera (Mainly Rent)

^.^ As I have stated, I'm a drama student. I know this stuff.
Rent's awesome. My school just did the school edition. Was probably the last time ever performed in America.

I dunno. I've never figured it out. I know it's no longer playing on Broadway...
I agree on it being a great show. ^.^ The music won't leave my head.

good stuff. idk. i believe it will continue to be put on by schools though...a lot of the broadway plays that leave don't die, but exist in high schools and local play companies for a while. schools have an easier time getting plays that aren't touring as well, so they re-use old stuff a lot.

Nothing Major. I just got into Drama a couple years ago. I've been in a student written play as a sassy female and a nerdy boy.
I've been an Usher several times. I've been on Running crew. Going to be in a one act play called 'Cate Blanchett wants to be my friend on facebook.' I'm Cate Blanchett ((The fates are cruel to hand me a female role though I'm use to it)).
