"Or when you mess up while trying to summon my father." said Gamakichi with a snicker. "Shut up!" yelled Naruto as he scowled at the frog. Then he turned back to dEx and his face softened. "By using more chakra than is neccessary, but not so much that it is wasted I have made him stronger." explained Naruto.

In his case it could help keep him from disappearing immediately if he gets hit by something and it also helps to make him stronger. This works nicely because he can move faster and farther than usual. dEx looked at him and nodded. Then Gamakichi was gone in another puff of smoke. "You can probably apply this to your summons without actually trying it now. It would be better to move on to more training now." suggested Naruto.

Naruto looked at dEx and could tell that she was getting tired. "Why don't you go home and rest for a while? Then meet me back here in about five hours to continue training." suggested Naruto. dEx smiled wearily at him. "That sounds like a very good idea." she replied as she turned to look at Shadow. He got up and walked over to her. Then Naruto headed off in a different direction.

dEx looked around and realized it would be faster to actually go outside the village and work their way around than to go through in order to get home from here. She looked down at Shadow and nodded. "Let's take the shorter way." she said as they took off outside the village. Then they began to work their way through the trees as they moved around the village and got closer to another entrance that was near her house.

All of the sudden a strange ninja in black appeared in front of her. "You are a Chuunin from this village are you not?" asked the ninja outright. dEx and Shadow skidded to a halt as they stared at the guy. He seemed powerful, but not overly threatening towards her yet. She nodded slowly as she looked at him. "I am aware of fighters with demons and others with powerful seals in your village." said the ninja.

"I travel around looking for strong fighters without these traits to train. With effort they can become just as powerful. If you want to survive against them you should let me show you a technique." said the ninja in a low monotonous tone. dEx continued to stare at the ninja and found herself nodding to him. He didn't seem to want to harm her and it wouldn't hurt to learn all the techniques that she could.

Shadow also didn't seem to know what to make of the stranger, but he wasn't growling. "I want to show you a stronger low level summon. You are already familiar with summoning correct?" asked the ninja. dEx nodded confidently. "Then you will be learning how to summon Rishix, the devourer of shadows." continued the ninja. dEx looked at him in disbelief when she heard the name.

This sounded like a very powerful skill. Could she really handle something like this. She quickly came away from her own thoughts as he began to speak again. "Watch closely as I show you the hand seals required for this technique." said the ninja. dEx watched him closely as he slowly went through a short string of seals. She began to go through them along with him and soon she had them memorized.

dEx found herself looking up at the ninja. There was a pressing question in her head now and before she knew it she had asked it outloud. "What should I call you? It would be easier to call you something." said dEx as she looked surprised when she realized that she had said this outloud. The ninja looked at her for a moment. "Notan." he replied.

dEx thought about the name for a minute and quickly realized that it meant dark-light, as in art or design. This ninja was dressed all in black and had a mysterious presence, yet he seemed to be working towards a good goal. She was still taking it all in when Notan began to move on with the training. "I will now demonstrate the technique for you." said the ninja.

"Please watch me carefully." he said as he noticed that she was deep in thought again. She quickly turned her attention back to him as she smiled sheepishly. Notan began to quickly form the seals that he had just taught her. Then he bit his thumb through his black glove and put his hand to the ground. "Summoning Rishix." he said as a black seal began to form on the ground around his hand.

There was a puff of smoke and dEx gasped as she saw the summon emerge as the smoke began to clear. Shadow jumped back and hid behind dEx when he saw him. Rishix was a large black figure whose eyes were a bright firey yellow. The color of them almost made her think of the sun in the middle of the day. She could see his large ears that looked very much like two antenna on his head.

Most likely he a heightened sense of hearing and that could be useful in a battle. She saw very sharp claws on his hands and feet that rivals the ones that she and Shadow had in their Doubled-Headed Wolf form. Then she found herself transfixed by his smile, which revealed his sharp sparkling white teeth. As she looked at him she now understood how he could have a name like Devourer of Shadows.

"Before I set you loose to attempt to summon him yourself let me show you what he can do." said Notan. He looked up at Rishix who smiled back at him. Then Notan formed a hand seals as he focused his chakra. "Shadow clones." said Notan as he created two shadow clones to demonstrate Rishix's abilities for dEx to watach. Then Notan turned back to dEx to explain what he was about to do.

"The first ability that I will show you is called Shadow Flicker. Rishix has the ability to travel through shadows instantaneously. So if he is in a shadow he can immediately transport to any other shadow. If you are touching him he will transport you as well. You can use this to surprise or escape your enemy." explained Notan. dEx felt her eyes growing wide as she nodded to him.
