"Cool," she said, trying to 'be cool' with her voice, but the smile on her face obviously showed how excited that made her. She had a new teacher, and he was supposed to be good with chakra. Hopefully things were heading in the right direction.
"So would it be alright with you if we started with the chakra stuff? I'm really worried I'll hurt someone if I try to get into the Ho stuff before I manage to get my chakra at least somewhat under control."

He nodded and pocketed his hands. "I'll make sure you don't hurt someone." He smiled. "Let's start small. Do you know how to make a clone?"

"Alright, just remember, I haven't done this in 10 years."
She closed her eyes and tried to remember how working with chakra felt. She started by trying to focus it into her upper abdomen. She'd remembered that pulling it from there seemed to work best for her. She started pooling up a bit there, and suddenly her mind was filled with memories of the incident with her friend, that caused her to end the whole thing.
She flashed her eyes open, trying to make the visions in her head go away.
"Sorry. I forgot to mention why it's been 10 years. The ghosts in my past don't want to leave me alone it seems."
She took a few deep breaths, then closed her eyes again, trying to work at it quicker, now that she'd had a bit of a taste for what her chakra flow felt like again. But by this point, she was more worried about the vision coming back than concentrating on the right amount of chakra. The thoughts were floating around in her head, and she kept trying to shove them out of the way, finally reaching her breaking point. She yelled out "BUNSHIN NO JUTSU" and pushed the chakra out, almost as if she were trying to explode the thoughts out of her head as well.
She fell to the floor as a clone appeared next to her. She sat there a moment, on her knees, arms bracing her up, breathing heavily. She took a few deep breaths before looking up to Seph and the clone she'd made.

Seph's face remained neutral. "Drop the jutsu and do it again." There was nothing in his voice that indicated if he was happy with the result or disappointed. He was not declaring she had done poorly, but neither was he commending a good job. He simply wanted her to do it again.

*Drake felt the tone of Seph's voice and almost pitied the girl*
She's trying her hardest, poor thing... he could at least cheer her on...
*Drake thought of saying something, but just sighed. He knew it wasn't his place. He just smiled and kept watching in admiration of her. He didn't know her whole story, but he could relate to the phrase "ghosts of the past" well enough and knew how hard this must have been for her.*

She hung her head, and took a few more deep breaths. She dismissed the clone, and pulled herself to her feet, looking ast Seph. Just a few moments ago, she was giddy with excitement, and now she was remembering just what it meant to have a sensei. She took another couple deep breaths, trying to calm her mind down again. She did a quick meditation technique meant to try to clear her head, and then started again.
And again, the thoughts couldn't leave well enough alone. As she gathered more chakra, the thoughts came flying faster and faster. Once again, she shouted out "BUNSHIN NO JUTSU" when her mind just couldn't handle any more, again not really paying much attention to her chakra level as she expelled it with the jutsu. She managed to hold her footing this time, but her body was much like that of a rag doll being held up only by strings for a moment.

Seph remained expressionless, the veins bulging up around his eyes. "Again."

She dismissed the clone and looked dead on at Seph, not angry at him, but at the demons trying to rip her mind apart. She didn't close her eyes this time as she gathered up her chakra. To any onlooker, it would look as though she were glaring at Seph as if she were angry at him for making her do this over and over again. But she understood what he was trying to do. Or maybe she only thought she did. But either way, it was forcing her to face her inner demons, and learn how to work through them after running from them for so long. She shouted "BUNSHIN NO JUTSU" and expelled her chakra, this time, forming three clones, trying once again to push out the thoughts floating around her head as she pushed out the chakra.

Eheheh...
*The sight of Seph made him smile. It'd been a while. He'd have to catch up with him sometime, but for now he'd leave him to his mentoring. Drake took one final glance back at Seph and the girl and smiled before walking away*

While others did thier thing, Sage prepared pancakes....but instead of preparing just one batch of good pancakes, he was cooking up a storm. At any given moment, he had two batches of pancakes cooking at once. if I'm going to practice with pancakes, I'd better not waste the good ingredients...because I know that this is certainly going to be taking many..many...pancakes.

Seph did not return her glare, but an emotionless face. The three clones popped into existence. He didn't even bother to glance at them this time. "Again."

She was dismissing the clones as soon as Seph opened his mouth, and by the time he finished saying again, she was already working on pulling her chakra together again. She was somewhat focusing on her chakra, but by this point she was more focusing on the thoughts, pooling them in with the chakra. She shouted "BUNSHIN NO JUSTU" and forcefully expelled her chakra and thoughts into 20 clones. She collapsed again, this time out of physical exhaustion instead of mental.
She sat there for a moment, panting, before saying, "I told you it's been awhile. I forgot what my limit was."
