Bitinged Are you saying that i look like a frog that got lost and somehow managed to get on the wrong side of the road..meaning that i have to cross over, avoiding large trucks and cars then jump on logs and leaves to make it back to my pond?..
How dare you, Sir. How'd he ever manage to get on the wrong side of the road in the first place without getting hit? ._.; On another note, wtf's with this tobacco ban thing? I've seen loads about it recently, so where'd the admins bring it up...?

I think it's because they have become corporate and they probably have a lawsuit about kids smoking against them. So in attempt to right the situation they are removing the items. I don't care either way. I hate smoking...

I think it's because they have become corporate and they probably have a lawsuit about kids smoking against them. So in attempt to right the situation they are removing the items. I don't care either way. I hate smoking...Hey... I don't like it myself. I have secondhand smoke and I don't exactly care for my parents refusing to regard such, but people should be able to do what they want no? Gaia's interfering with its community too much. I can't believe they handed it over to Facebook-wanna-be's. -.-;

The actual announcement.Oddly though, some Gaia HQ'ers have equiped Cigs..Most notably Reapersun and Pepper-tea, along with a few admins and countless Mods.

I have a touch of asthma because of second hand smoke.
In reference to dress however they want yes I guess anything else no. Otherwise we would have a shitty economy and a bunch of hacking.
And Gaia has become corporate like I said. They sell out to advertisers all the time. It didn't used to be like this. Now it's just annoying. I hate all the skittles advertisements.

During that period it wasn't much user consideration as it was development. It started out as a place to hang out but as soon as they realized the amount of money though could get from users for the Donation letters I.E. the Monthly collectibles (thanks to a lawsuit they had to change the name) they started expanding their money intake and their network. More servers, more people, more money more corporate. This whole site started in the garage of Lanzer's I believe.

If Gaia's gonna take something -else- away why didn't they think of something more creative that's "all gross and unhealthy in real life"? Like alcohol? Or the Slots game? >_>; @Rose: I know! Stupid corporate-ness. I found Gaia way back when it was an "Anime Roleplaying Community", not a Facebook-ripoff. Well despite many Mods and Artists being online NONE have talked over the matter to users.. Just look in the Site Feedback. If Gaia does, they will know what they did was wrong.

I had an account before this one, but I never got on the internet much so I abandoned it. But I remember loving "Go Gaia" (I think) then, the whole avatar think was cool to me and when I got this account I made some best friends.
Now that it's becoming all forum-based I'm as afraid to chat with users as I would be on a site like Myspace that's known for predators.
Is it possible that the ban was a surprise to some Mods too...?
