"It's a natural thing. take the ghost elves for example...or at least the legends. they are nearly spectral in appearance, and they supposedly spent many millinia in teh bowels of darker planes and realms. Infernal places. So it seems to figure you might to become a bit more pale."
A shake of his head.
"Oh I'm sure she knows. Though I wish she didn't. I'm sure that didn't help impressions any."
Malik doesn't pet. he caresses and pats. and he only does that for me, becuase we've been a team for a very long time now. but as you well know, we still have your disagreements. and I refuse to bow completely. I'm a Nightmare, a breed better than any other mortal born equine and I will be treated as such.

"Natural or not...I'm going to have to pay visits to Roarke then...I'm pale enough as it is." No she didn't seem to be liking that idea at all really. Perhaps it wasn't the loss of color that bothered her, but more of the reason of why it would happen. To be underground that long meant she wouldn't be seeing the sun ever again. Despite what she said, somewhere in the back of her mind was the nagging tug to be above ground for a bit. But that was truly impossible here now wasn't it?
"She knows...and honestly...it's good she knows. Who would you prefer her to see as your patron God, Lloth or Innorruk? I"m sure with all the implications toward both you would choose the latter, you preferences set aside and only looking at conotations. So in a round about way...it could be worse."
Well fine, he's never pat me or anything...chucked me an apple maybe but that was either to get rid of me or to bribe me or trick me into something. But of course a little affection from him is too much to ask...he gives it all to one elf. A look at Nightmare. And you of course get his affections...you deserve them for having to put up with his foul attitude and the like. It's admirable.

"That might work, or perhasp visits to Andal might be arranged. either way..somethign can be found. As for the diety of my choice...I think she'd prefered Llothian. men are subdued there. the women hold all teh power. thus..Piper woudl be in complete control here, as opposed to myself."
A small smirk.
"Worse it might have been. but I don't think it's over yet. I get the feeling most of her real reactions I won't see becuase they'll be hidden until your back and safe in Andal."
Of course it is. But right now, I'm tired, and I am goign to sleep a bit. So goodnight, and make sure your counterpart stays well out of trouble. or Malik will bottle him.

"Says the elf who's not really that big on planar travel." Malik never was one for traveling...even when she did manage to drag him off, he always managed to have them stay rather long periods of time. Not that she minded really. It was fun in the end. Here it didn't bother her, this was home now. Though a raised eyebrow and a chuckle from her. "Please...control you? I think you'd just infuriate me till I was fed up and left you alone."
"Llothian society is also big on sacrifices and the like as you well know. I guess to her, you coulkd say that Innorruk is the lesser of two true evils. And by saying Lloth is to Piper's advantage, isn't really good either. Means her daughter's taken a rather bad road of sorts, changed for the worse." Though a raised eyebrow. "Really now? And why do you think that?" Oh look, he intrigued the moon elf.
Raising foals is tiring work. Sure he did his part but she would only let him do so much...she was protective about her little ones. He nickered at her. Night then...and I'll make sure he stays out of trouble. Hear that Nerian, no trouble! Another nuzzle to Zahara's hand...he was taking all the attention he could get.

"Besides teh point, 'Chev."
Then his attention back to Kieran.
"She's a queen, and a diplomat. which obviously means she can hide and disguise the bulk of her emotional involvement with this. I'm sure more of the tiradeign about her daughter losing her mind, not to mention things liek you keeping her hidden, will come out when you are safely home. and the fears and worries in the back of her mind don't have such hold, even subconciously."

Kieran chuckled lightly. "I've alredy gotten my tongue lashing for my involvement in all of this. It was none too pleasant 'll tell you...that woman can scream and hit and throw blunt objects like no tomorrow." Indeed...after the initial telling of it all...the day after had been details. Which lead to her anger and well...Kieran wasn't the most happy elf that day. "I won't say that she's completely clean of her own...negative...thoughts but no one really is. As far as loosing minds," he just chuckled softly at that. That fight had go one the first night they were here. Good thing for sound barriers. " ah I belive she blames that one on me, because it seems a thing us moon elves do...loose our minds to some fantastic ideals." It really was simple as that. "And even if she does...at least she doesn't hate you." Dissaprove? Kieran didn't quite know yet. Then a tap to his temple. "She can't hide much from me."
"Uh huh, besides the point.", she slightly mocked back. She liked picking at him sometimes. But just sitting here was a little amusing. When Kieran and Malik got together she swore that they really could entertain each other for hours on end. Hopefully that was a good thing in the end. Brushign hair from her eyes seh blinked twice before the gold in her eyes sparked slightly and the world wasn't so dim. That was indeed a good thing. Though she frowned slightly at the negative direction things has seemed to float. she thought things were going good...were they leaving her out of the loop on something?

"Okay then...give me the odds, if in one month's time me and Piper decided to visit Andal, that I woudl trigger the security spells in her mother's city."
A slight grin. Sure, this bond thing..the communion gave him insight. but he still ahd the feeling that she was being overly nice for Piper's sake, more than an actual liking of him. and a look at Piper.
"How are your eyes doing? things getting back to normal?"
and he could tell by the look on her face what she was thinking.
"No, your not left out of the loop. I'm just being my overly paranoid Tier'Dal self. after all, I don't want to go to Andal with you, have you run up the stairs, and not be able to join you. then I'd have to hurt people, and it woudl get messy, and not very friendly and it woudl just ruin all the trade agreements."

"Of course you'd trigger it...if she wasn't expecting you. Piper would trigger it...her recognition was wiped out when she was thought to be dead. I doubt she would hold malice toward you and purposefully keep you out...the moment you got teleported Gods know where, Piper would have a fit. Personally, I'd take a drow over Pip's temper anyday."
"Hey! It's not that bad!" Malik's was worse, so there. A little mumblign of somethign in elvish before she looked to Malik at his questions, and then his answers as well. "Yes, the lights are coming back on so to speak." She figured that fisrt try just had too high a level really which was why things were made dim. Piper smiled though at his little scenario set up...always the business man. "Indeed it would. But father's right...I would raise quite the bit of hell over it...not to mention calm said temper...and find you for that matter." Though she did notice Malik mentioning an Andal visit quite often...she didn't know if that was good or not.
"Rule one...never run up the stairs. That's another trigger to the security...even if you're allowed through the initial barrier, it runs the length up to the second barrier. Needless to say security for Ryliah is rather...overdone." Wood elves were paraoid like that though.

"I've seen your temper flare, 'Chev. and yes it can be that bad. You are the first Fier'dal to ever slap a master assassin across his face for touching them. and it wasn't even a lewd touch, either."
A look at Kieran.
"He noticed her ear, and turned her head to get a better look. apparently she tied her bandana on too tight, and he noticed the outline under the fabric. and she hauled of and backhanded him screaming I don't know what in your elvish."

She smirked lightly, rather proudly. Hey Piper considered that a good day for her. "Who said it had to be lewd. I told you if anyone touched me, I wasn't going to have it. You had a warning." And therefore by default, he was supposed to warn everyone else that his little pet slave thing...wasn't the best thing to mess with. "And what I screamed were obscenities, a few curses, and I also told him if he ever touched me again I would personally remove his hand." Malik had been pissed. And then a look to said elf. "Not to mention, where were you when that was happening? I waasn't going to get pawed at in any fashion."
Kieran chuckled, shaking his head. His little Pip. "She certinally has her mother's temper, I'll give you that. Fianna won't think twice about hitting you if she feels you deserve it...and she hits hard too...all that bow use." Ah fond memories of being hit at by her...but he deserved those.

"I was dealing with things that needed dealt with. Mostly with members of the House of the Dead. And your little insult cost a bit of money to cover, and one death of a professional assassin. Though at least you slapping him did get it across that you didn't expect to be touched by anyone but me, and thank Innoruuk my reputation made sure that no one was going to attempt to try my patience on the issue."
A nod at Kieran.
"Yes, a hard hit and sharp nails. But she still needs to learn some swordplay I think."
Oh yes, Malik hadn't forgotten about that, either.

"You weren't complaining at the time. In fact you seemed quite amused with it all...well after deaths and payments and the like." And a little nod to both men as well. "Yes indeed it did send a message through...and I'm glad it did. Things could of been a worse for me." Of course an accomplished smile at her nails...seeing as Malik knew personaly how they could be. Though a little frown at the swordplay comment...but there was no fighting about it. Ah but an idea. "I will take up swordplay again and let you train me, after we have a communion." Becuase that made her life easier...and made the skills faster to learn actually.
"Deadly vicious with those nails and all that strength built up from using thier bows. Not to mention thier strength build up fro climbing all those trees. Ever been seriously kicked by her? That's some hurting right there."

"not yet. but trust me. I've been kicked by worse. namely a tempermental mare with flaming mithril hooves. and you have a deal, Piper. and I won't be forgetting. but if you want to learn thanks to this communion, as I saw from your demonstration it seems to enhance the learnign process..then why son't you train more with your father, and learn his style of dual wielding weapons."
Take that, little smartypants elf.
"I'm sure your father would love to show of some more, and probably gives much needed exercise from all that time hiding and ruling in shadows and on the throne."

Ha she won...or at least partly...which was good to know in a way. "I said I would take up swordplay with you. NOT just anyone that I've communed with." Ha, he thought he had one uped her. He had his choice of making her learn to control her vision or swordplay, not both at once. She was going to win somewhat at least. "And father's too busy with mother right now, aren't you?"
Kieran laughed slightly at them both and then gave another to Malik who was prodding. "Ah, you mininterpert my rulings and rambles to the peninsula. It's not as lax as you think and rarely do I lord myself over others...though when you get on my bad side...sure things change a little in the negative direction." A look to Piper with a raised eyebrow. "He's adamant about you, isn't he?"
"He calls it 'in my best interest'." Okay so it really was in her best interest...but honestly, one thing at a time.

"Tier'Dal have our own traditions and expectations. A Tier'Dal woman is expected to master her skills just as a Tier'Dal man is. She has to potential and the need, to learn swordplay, and she should. her eyesight's gift can be a dangerous hinderance, if she can't control it at will, since it clearly can be. Thus, by my own people's tradition, she should master these skills. And it's in her own best interests."
A small grin.
"for the Tier'dal..you learn to be very good at your profession, or someone else in it, or another will kill you. it's that simple. even in training. we didn't train with wooden implements, and we didn't stop our hits from hitting, either."
