I'm all for your idea Chris, though my opinion may not hold much water. I only knew Croix well enough to call him an acquintence and I'm not exactly the most active member here...

If she's suffering, then don't press her. Just be there for her if she needs a pillar. She'll tell you when she feels like she can face it.
