Stupid mickey you spoil it so much scream As far as I understand it Telor, Evolution uses natural selection in part, but it needs mutation of genes also, a separate thing. It's not that they have new mutated genes, just that the ones with certain genes survived.

Cindy, it's obviously a mutation since their genes decide their maximum height, thus their genes are different. oO And guess what they call it when an offspring or a small group develops a different genetic characteristic. Yeah, a mutation. If there was a small group of humans that grew horns during their lifetime would you also argue that that isn't a mutation either?

This is exactly what the guy who first discovered genes saw, I think. 'cept with dandelions, not peas. Yes, there genes are different from the ones that didnt survive. But the genes arn't new ones, it's just a selection of the genes that were already there. There have always been genes in them deciding their height. What would be a mutation, would be something like furry leaves, instead of normal ones, because that would be new. Bleh, technical terms confuse me, and they often overlap with other things. (although, that is what we're talking about. o.o the definition of natural selection and mutation and evolution and blah) XD And of course not. SILVER HALO? surprised
