dot_com I've never had it before. crying But I've heard that it's scrum-dilly-umpcious.
I think I'm one of the only people in the world who respect onions for their generous contributions to the food world. crying Everyone else I know hates them.
Complex flavors are so win. With the exception of sweets, I'm a believer in the ability of onions to improve almost any dish. Whenever I cook something, I almost always add onions in. Mmmm. heart

Nah. They look nice. You're also using an angle and pose that exaggerates them a little...

Streamjumper dot_com Oh gosh! I completely forgot about cinnamon! eek I feel silly! gonk
I don't cook much at all. I do bake a little bit more now, thanks to Mikashi and her helping me out from the beginning. whee I can handle helping my mom cook some Indian food though. One of the few cases where I have some skill with a spatula is when making the Indian bread known as puri, which is light and flakey, and the coolest part? It puffs up when you fry it in boiling oil, and I mean serioiusly just shoots up. whee Kids love it.
I think I know sort of how to make fried rice too...Indian style. cool Puri rocks, and I love tandoori dishes too. Indian food is tasty as all hell and some of the beers are quite good. If we're on the note of indian food, we can't really forget about mint. I don't know much (anything) about spices, since I cook so very little... But damn does Mala love some chicken tikka saag. crying heart

Peppermint Elf Streamjumper You should try fry bread sometime. Its a Native American traditional food with several different variations from nation to nation. Trust me, it rocks hardcore. Its kinda like a doughy doughnut... Hard to explain but impossible to forget. We were making "taco salad" in cooking class yesterday. Well, I've been seeing "Indian Tacos" at the Native American events I've been going to lately, so I asked the prof if I could make "Indian Tacos" instead of just salad with nachos. sweatdrop She looked at me as if I grew a third head. I explained it was made with fry bread and she still didn't get it. gonk So I made some fry bread (about 5 pieces) and gave it to her. She loved it! She said "They're so light and fluffy! heart " and asked for the recipe. sweatdrop I really can't believe she never had fry bread before. I mean, they serve it EVER SUMMER at the NY State Fair (which is held for 2 weeks in the city we live in and is quite large). The "Indian Village" is one of the biggest draws with the native hand crafts, lacross sticks, archery contests, restaurant, and daily social dances. But Stream right. If you need the recipe for fry bread, ask Stream, Kyle, or I. We'd all happily give it to anyone! 3nodding You and Kyle probably have better recipies than I... family recipies are usually better than books.

Streamjumper Zero Omega Streamjumper Shoujo Phoenix I got my camera back today! surprised
I think you might like some of these then. I took a huge pile of em in the fall but haven't really sorted or edited most of em down yet, so they're mostly random. Also, these aren't anything I really went looking for, just stuff I saw on my way to and from assignments and around my daily travels. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v30/streamjumper/personal/Foliage01.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v30/streamjumper/personal/camera065.jpg Steam, those pictures you took, would you mind if I used those and painted a painting? Go for it. Since people liked those, I'll probably shrink and toss some more up. Nice, I'll start when I get a canvas and some new paints and brushes :sizesevengonk:
