It wasn't too long before Caleb was coming back with his Marshtomp. The young woman from before was with him, along with an elderly woman now as well. Both of them were scolding him very thoroughly about at least calling once in a while and how worried everyone had been whenever he disappeared.
"I'm going on a trip...make sure that next time you actually tell us where you'll be going!"" his grandma said in a shrill tone before knocking him in the back of his head with her cane.
"He knows now Grandma...right Caleb?" his sister said with a smirk.
"OW-Arceus...yes I know alright!"
"And watch your language!" his grandmother scolded even more, shaking her cane threateningly at him. "Don't forget to share those cookies with your little friends either!" she added.
"Aargh...alright...yes Grandma..." he sighed.
Caleb's sister patted him on the back, "see what you get for not saying anything before you leave? Make sure you don't do it again...or else it'll be a lot worse..."
Caleb stared at her blankly. She just grinned and patted his Marshtomp, "and bring home more of your pokemon for us to meet next time!" Caleb's Marshtomp smiled wide.
The two of them escorted Caleb right back over to Team Aqua. His sister looked down at the Cubchoo before looking at Analen and giving her this smug I-know-what-you-did-today look.
Caleb stood there with pursed lips, staring at the cart blankly. He just wished it'd all end already.

Maddy smacked Dark in the back of the head. "I've no problems with letting you join agan," she said. "But not for that reason!" She noticed Caleb had finally returned them. "Let's get this show on the road, everyone. We have quite the journey ahead of us." She took out her TADS and mapped out their route. "... And the first stretch is going up the cliff to the Zubat Roost." She turned to the Pokemon that were helping pull the cart. "Start hauling, I guess." Maddy commanded, pointing towards the sloping path leading up the side of the cliff. Muffin, her Skiddo, nodded and started pulling, the other Pokemon joining in. The cart was slow going at first but quickly picked up the pace with all the Pokemon helping out... That was, until the road started to slope. Then it became difficult. Maddy turned to Analen. "We'll hold off on the ice until the road levels out again."

She arched her head back a bit, wringing out the water from her hair.
"Cub....choo..." grumbled Grumpypants. He was already tiring out, and not liking the fact that he, too, had to stop his day in the sun.
a**lén turned to face Maddy, nodding quickly. "I agree. Besides, the ice would just make the cart slide backwards instead of forwards..."
Kiptastic, on the other hand, wasn't contributing squat. Not much it could do with a Tackle attack, other than destroying that they were trying to transport...
And having Flabébé - coming in at pretty much a pound - push anything made her snort to herself in laughter.
Her eyes shifted towards the newcomer. She... didn't like his smirk. AS her eyes moved the other direction, she took notice of Caleb, who was also trying to hide his embarrassment of being smothered by family not too long ago.

Rose recalled her Togetic and her Marill to their Pokeballs and let Sylveon accompany her as they made their way up the slope towards Zubat's roost "You're doing fantastic, Lairon" she told her Pokemon which was helping to pull the cart.

Dark rubs the back of his head where Maddy smacked and follows along the wagon. "This is... Suspiciously easy for something involving Aqua...." He points out. Brick was pushing the cart with relative ease. He could probably do it himself but the extra help was appreciated.

After one last goodbye from his family members and his sister checking to make sure he had given them the correct number for his TADs, Caleb moved over to his Lairon and Noibat. Both his sister and grandmother continued waving until Team Aqua was out of view before heading home. Caleb let out a long sigh of relief once they were a fair distance out of Ambrette Town. He glanced over to his Lairon, who didn't seem to be having much of a problem with the cart at all.
His Marshtomp walked alongside him, smiling wide. He really seemed to like Caleb's family. Not to mention all the snacks and attention he had been offered while they had been away from the rest of the group.

Rose patted her Lairon's head a pet, walking beside it as they made their way up the hill, she was relieved that this task seemed to not be too hard for her powerful steel type.
Her Sylveon walked with her and brushed against her leg a bit, affectionately.

Rei took a few cookies and chomped down while encouraging his Skiddo.
"These are pretty good..." he muttered between chunks.
"Say, Caleb, why didn't you tell your family about leaving? Dislike them that much?" Rei's Zubat flew in circles overhead, clearly excited to be traveling to a popular roosting spot.

They soon made it to the top of the cliff and entered Connectng Cave, also known as Zubat Roost. The cave was nice and cool, sheltering them from the hot sun. The path here was also well-worn, not as bumpy as most caves, so it proved to be a nice break for the Pokemon helping with the cart. They soon exited the cave and found themselves on Route 7, walking next to a beautiful river and rows of flowers. The route was generally empty, with only a couple artists here and there painting the beautiful scenery. Maddy walked alongside the cart, her hands in her pockets. "Anyone interested in fighting or catching a Pokemon while we're here? Or shall we keep going?" She wasn't too picky about the options. "We still have quite a ways to travel."

"I think there are supposed to be lots of fairy pokemon here, it could be cool to see what we can find here, as long as it doesn't slow us down too much" Rose suggested.

Rei's Zubat played in the opening of the cave with her blind flying companions while Rei kept careful watch over her.
"Come on, Countess, you big flirt. Route 7 is a long path." The Zubat reluctantly returned to him, hanging inside the wagon while the group continued.
Upon hearing the suggestion, Rei shrugged.
"I don't care either way," he said. They had a long way to go, and he wasn't interested in the Pokémon of this route.

Dark shrugs. "I'm good. I don't say I'll be catching a Pokemon for quite awhile now." Dark hops up into the cart and makes himself comfy between a few parts. "Push harder Brick." "Buu buu!" They Tyranitar cries and does as ordered.

a**lén waved her hands to and fro, laughing softly. "No, no. It's quite alright. I need to practice training 3 Pokémon as it is~!"
Poison types were never really her thing, alas.
But ghost? Yeah... ghost rocked.
In the background, she rubbed her hands together, thinking of all the neat things a ghost could do. "Muwahaha..." she whispered.

Rei tried ignoring the creepy laughter from the newest recruit. I guess Aqua just attracts oddballs, he thought. He couldn't count himself as normal.

Maddy shrugged. "Well, since most of us don't care, let's move on." Route 7 passed by fairly quikcly and they soon found themselves passing through Camphrier Town. They passed Shabboneau Castle; their old base. The town was bustling with activity, with tourists coming and going. It seemed that fixing up Shabboneau Castle some months ago had really helped the economy in the town. Camphier passed by quickly and they soon found themselves on Route 5. This route sloped downward slightly, so the Pokemon pulling the cart had to go slowly to stop from rolling down the hill. "Careful, guys..." Maddy said to them, placing a hand on the cart to keep it steady.
