It all made sense. Well, sort of. Admittedly, Alastair was more than a little fuzzy on how crystals could somehow harness psychic energy or whatever, but that didn’t really matter. The fact was, they somehow did. And now Team Rocket apparently had access to them, which allowed them to control pokémon. Uncaught pokémon for sure, but… maybe caught pokémon too. He glanced worriedly at Con, who was snarling at the Rocket’s feet as he… err… blasted off, apparently.
Even such a strange sight couldn’t shake Alastair’s worry. Something was happening and, for once, he had absolutely no idea how to handle it. No. He had to think about this logically. Putting a hand to his head, he tried to think about this.
If they could control caught pokémon, he would have done that instead. But, the Rocket had ‘summoned’ shuppets or something like that. So, clearly, they were… err… limited to whatever wild pokémon were about. Well, that was good.
He shook himself out of his reverie.
“Is everyone alright? Any wagons exploded and or imploded? Or can we get moving again? I’ve got a bad feeling about that plume of smoke over there…”
The trainer tossed the pokeball into the air. "Let's go then Prince!" The pidgeot burst out of his pokeball again and swooped down to her trainer, picking up the girl by her shoulders. ChuChu wiggled out of Luna's arms, scampered up Prince's talons, and climbed up to his back so she could get a better view. "I'll met you guys there!"

 Cosmo bursted out of his ball, angry for being in there so long. He sat on Alex's rear end and pouted. Day was amused, and gave Cosmo a pity berry left over from her stash that had been used up on a Shuppet. He took it and greedily swallowed it, just like he did any to any other food he got his paws on.
Day stroked him, too calm for Cosmo's liking. He squeaked and curled up for a nap. That was a sure way to get him to be playful again.

Timelasp! Time to save the- Aw snap.....=3=
Gathering together the group, Jen and Luna pointed towards where the smoke was vanishing. That was the entrance to the mines! Maybe the rocket were still there, and if they were...the group had to move double time to catch up with them.
Eager to beat some rockets (using the statement mildly) the group set out towards the mines just as the sun was starting to set.

After about a good hour, hour and a half, the group finally manged to hit their desitination point. The sight was heartbreaking though....
The ground was completely covered by broken bits of machinery and black soot from whatever had caused the earlier explosion. The trailer from before had also been left behind, but if someone were to look inside it was completely stripped of everything valuable or important to the rockets. Large holes from digging tools were scattered around the large site.
The most heartbreaking thing was the mine extrance itself; it had been completely covered by a giant landslide of rocks and thick mud, no doubt caused by the rockets in an effort to slow down the group. This was gunna take all night to get through! And to make matters worse, the rockets had either destroyed or taken their digging tools along with them! The group was gunna be forced to create an entrance by pokemon and hand.
Because of this, it would best to spend the night here and dig out the entrance in shifts.
Lovely night ahead, no?

"Aw, hell no! This is horrible!" Day shouted. She dismounted Alex and looked for a hole where everyone could climb in through, but didn't see any. The whole night would be spent working over this! She thought about asking Faith to perform rock smash on the bigger rocks, and decided that then they would still be left all of the smaller rocks to move out of the way.

Lock pet the tauros of wagon five and smiled. "Well..you guys seem okay...." He looked a the wagon itself. It seemed like the attacks chipped the paint, but nothing major.
Faraon talked to the two tauros before he stepped his way back into the wagon, he stuck his head out to wait for Lock. "Peerrrrrrrr...."

Adele smiled and hug her. "Alright, i'll believe you."

Lock stared at the entrace of the mine, his mouth somewhat open while Faraon sat next to him, listening to the tauros, who were explain to him what was going.
"Aww....F- Ouch!" Lock was stopped from cursing by the feline, who n** hard at the healer's leg.

Adele sighed. "How much you want to bet Lock is going to volunteer himself and me for the first shift?"

Needless to say, upon seeing the rubble left behind, Alastair cursed foul enough to make a keyboard blush. Dismounting the tauros, he promptly kicked the wall of rubble, which did absolutely nothing of use except make his foot hurt more. No wonder the Rockets weren’t worried about the trainers catching up; there was no way the trainers could get through all of this any time soon. Not without help anyway…
Turning back to the caravan, Alastair cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled, “OI! Anyone have any ground-type pokémon? I know there’ve been lots of cubones around lately!” Hey, it was worth a try. Reaching for one of the pokeballs on his belt, he released Rylee. The blue-painted cubone sniffed the air experimentally before looking at the tunnel. He practically squealed with joy at the idea of going underground, his little hands trying to clap.
What else could dig…? Any canine pokémon, he supposed, although he was not about to ask Con to do any digging. The last thing he needed was for his most powerful pokémon going through an emotional breakdown.

 "Oh, boy," Fin sighed as they came upon the deplorable state of the mine entrance. This did indeed look like it was going to take all night. She wasn't tired, yet, so perhaps they could join the first shift… "Caddie, you're not tired, are you? Up for a bit of Brick Breaking?"
"Deli!" the Pokémon cheeped, in the affirmative.

Kira had made herself comfy in Adele's arms and had actually fallen asleep; hey, she was tired, she was working on another night of no sleep. She slowly woke up when they came to a stop and blinked, taking in the hideous site. "Oh gods...." She whispered, her heart sinking as she saw the destruction.
She looked at and laughed a little as Adele made his comment on Lock. "Well, if he does, then I'll work with you." She took his hand and smiled. "Promise."

Ziku raced over to the landslide. Kali grinned. "Alright Ziku, you can use Dig and Brick Break. This shouldn't be too hard!"
The Raichu nodded and jumped into a ready position.

This was just great. Piney hopped off the wagon and went closer to the collapsed entrance to examine it further. She touched the wall for a moment, then grabbed at a rock jutting out and started pulling.
Only after a long while of straining herself did the rock come loose. And she thought that she heard some shifting deep inside, probably some more debris loosened by the space she had freed up.
Scowling, Piney went back to the wagons, even more frustrated because they had no mining equipment. She sat down to rest her aching muscles, and glanced at Daybreak.
The Espeon was sitting perfectly still. The only movement was her chest, rising and falling while she breathed. That was odd. Was she being effected by the crystals? They emitted psychic energy, and she was a psychic Pokemon after all...
