Gion chuckled and started leading everyone up the stairs. Early to bed, early to rise, after all, and since the sun was down there was no way to make light upstairs - no safe way, anyways. It was a new moon, and the night was completely black.
It'll be just like old times, eh, Daemon? Gion thought cheerfully to his friend as he mounted the stairs. Except ... not alone this time. Think it'll be very different?

Oh I'm sure quite different.
Daemon replied thoughtfully thinking about the dyamics of the kind of people they were travelling with.
Your brother, Nadya, a man from the Lau clan and three of my grandchildren on this trip looking for trouble while normally trouble finds us.

Yue and Mia followed though Mia kept close to Nadya more than anything else. Her Alice cat doll grinning with mad eyes as it's owner carried it up the stairs.
"Very much," Lin nodded with a smile, "The flower changed into pretty colours."

"Er ... yeah," Earendil looked confused, and he rubbed his forehead thoughtfully. "I've never seen it do that before ... I think it was following me ..."
An odd thing to say about a flower.
"But what about you?" he asked, changing the subject. "Are you hungry?"
Perhaps they could sneak into the kitchen for some snacks.

"Here," Nadya smiled at Mia, opening a door for her and showing her a nicely decorated bedroom with a bed, desk and chair, and several shelves lining the walls that were filled with odd assortments of things. "You'll be sleeping here, Mia. My room. Let me know if there's anything you need ..."

I've never traveled with Nadya, Gion remarked to Daemon. It'll be a good opportunity to get to know her even better, don't you think?
He held up one hand to stop Donovan and nodded towards a door to their left. Inside was a guest room - it wasn't decorated at all, and held only a bed, dresser, and bedside table - but that was where Donovan would be sleeping.
After all, it was only a night.

It would be....
Daemon agreed though he wished it was under better circumstances, same for travelling with Triton, Yue and Mia. Though he didn't think the same about Donovan, the thing about a Lau, the best way to get to know them is when you're in a battle situtation.

"Oh.. uhm...." Lin thought about it for a moment looking up, "Snack time!"
She pointed up at him, since it was probably.. .maybe time for a snack.
"Let's follow the string back to Nina."
Mia looked around, it was very pretty she thought, just like it should be. Looking up at Nadya she shook her head, "I don't need a thing."
She had her bag, she would be good.

Donovan nodded, "Thanks, see you in the morning," he murmrued as he stepped inside and put his bag near the door.
He would be happy once they were in a place where the weather wasn't so hot.

Gion wondered what would be in store for them all as he showed Triton and Yue the next room - similar to the one he had shown Donovan, but with a double bed instead of a single.
I hope this is good for you, he signed to them with a warm smile. I'm afraid Nadya didn't give us proper warning like she usually does, so we didn't have as much time to prepare for guests.

Nadya smiled at Mia. "Then I hope you sleep well, and we'll see you in the morning."
She gave the child a small wave before closing the door and heading down the hall to her mother's room, where she would be spending the night. Laer would pack Gion's bag for them - after all, it had been spelled by the angel Kara before they had left for Gaia once more, and it would hold her and Gion's things easily, as well as more than enough food for everyone.

"Snack it is!" Earendil agreed, picking up Lin and straightening once more. He brushed his long hair behind his shoulders and started following the string.
"How did you manage to get her to stay behind?" he asked her curiously as they went. "Somehow ... I can't imagine it might have been easy."

Lin shrugged, "She probably wandered off," she pointed to the spool thread, "It tugged a few times, Nina has a short... erm.... action span."
She wouldn't be surprised if Nina wasn't where she had left the kirin.
Mia waved back before turning to get ready for bed, after all she and Alice had a bit day tomorrow.

Donovan nodded slowly, his sign language was a bit rusty, but since it made some semblence of sense it meant it wasn't overly different, but it took him a while to process it. In fact Yue had translated it before he could figure it out himself.
"It's fine," Donovan replied, "It's only a night and it has a bed."
That summed it up.

And with that he waved to the three and headed off to his own room, Elrohir in tow.
