Samuel bit his bottom lip, his face still very red as he listened to her confession. "I-I..I-I'm n-not entirely s-sure o-of wh-what to s-say.." he said quietly as he looked down at her. At the mention of him being sick and the thought of him dying, Sam pulled up his hood again. "W-well...I-I w-wish I-I could d-do something f-for you, b-but.." he trailed off a bit as he tried to think. "B-but I-I d-don't think th-that I-I l-like you i-in the s-same w-way y-you l-like me.." he murmured from inside his hood, wishing that he didn't have to hurt Yuki like this. "B-but..y-you are m-my b-best friend, a-and I-I'll always b-be here f-for y-you." he said quietly before biting his lower lip and peering out from under his hood at her.

The words hurt Yuki alot. She didn't expect him to like her the same way, but she at least tried. The words seemed to Peirce a non-existent hole through her chest, and now it felt like it was throbbing with pain. She didn't comment .Her eyes were shut tight and she didn't want to see his face. She felt stupid, crying her heart out with confessions. She didn't want to do this to him, but she wanted him to know. She didn't want him to feel the way she did when she was told days before she moved to this house. Now that she knew he didn't like her the same way she felt better in her own sickly way. She at least knew that they were still the best of friends, and that's what she cared about.

After a few moments of silence, Sam hesitantly reached out to softly touch her hair with his fingertips. "Y-yuki..?" he asked quietly, for the first time saying her name without a Miss in front of it. "I-I'm r-really, really, s-sorry..." he murmured softly as he continued to wish that he didn't have to hurt her.

She opened her eyes a crack. "I-it's ok. I don't mind." she felt the "hole" in her chest throb with intense pain again, but ignored it. She wasn't looking at him. She was looking to the bottom right cornr of the counter.

She all of a sudden herd a loud bang and a window shatter, but it was to late. She was just shot through the side by someone. She fell to the floor, blood flowing out of the wound like water down a steep hill. "S-Sa-" she was cut off. Her eyes slowly shut as she blacked out.

Samuel opened his mouth to say something, but his voice was covered up by a loud banging sound: a gunshot. His eyes widened as he felt warm blood splatter him and saw Yuki's body fall to the floor. "Yuki!" he screamed as he quickly fell to his knees beside her. There was so much blood: he almost vomited at the sight of it. Sam made a choking sound as tears ran down his face as he quickly moved to pull off his jacket and scrunch it up into a ball to cover her wound. He rubbed at the tears with a bloody hand so he could see for a moment as he nearly blindly searched for Yuki's phone. Sam grabbed it and with trembling hands called nine one one, sobbing into the phone as he held his jacket over her wound and told them the address. He then turned the phone off and quickly set it down, using both hands to keep the wound covered as he sobbed. A few minutes later an ambulance was heard and the door opened as a couple people with a stretcher came to get Yuki. The entire way to the hospital Samuel cried and stayed by Yuki's side in the ambulance, and after they got to the hospital he paced nervously back and forth without a shirt outside the room as they worked on Yuki, all the while crying and praying that she would be alright.

About 20 minutes later a doctor came out and said that Yuki was fine and that she was awake. He told him he might want to talk to her. He explained that the bullet was also going to be in an investigatiopn to find out who did it.
Yuki was in the hospital bed, her once light blue shirt covered in blood. She lay there crying, hoping that she would die. She was even saying, "Why am I alive? I wanted to die. God should've let me die." she felt that guilty. She was so dipressed and she never told any one. Before the doctor let him in he warned, 'Don't be surprised if she is saying she wants to die. She's dipressed. I don't know if she told you or not so don't tell her I told you.', and non-surprisingly, she was saying she wanted to die.

Poor Samuel was trembling as he came into the room, tears still streaming down his face. He went to sit beside her bed, more tears falling as she talked about wanting to die. "H-how c-could y-you s-say that..? H-how c-could y-you s-say th-that a-and w-want to l-leave everyone b-behind!" Sam buried his face into his hands as he cried, Yuki's blood still on him as he did so. He wished this had never happened, and that Yuki was happy and wasn't sitting in the hospital bed. Samuel coughed a bit as he cried and prayed that she could somehow be happy.

"I-I don't know. I-I've always wanted to die.... s-so badly. Eevery time I-I got h-hurt I w-would st-stutter on s-sertain sounds. N0now I just w-want t-t-to d-die. I-I f-feel like I-I have n-no perpouse. I-I tried t-to give m-myself one. I-I tried s-so hard,S-Sam. N-now I feel hurt i-in s-so many w-ways. Most of w-which in my h-heart. N-not b-because of y-you. I was s-so young, m-my mom was de-dead, my f-father dying i-in m-my arms. I-I didn't kn-know what t-to do." she coughed and the machine that measured heart rate jumped for a moment.
"I-I felt s-so unloved. I-I just wanted to feel loved in l-life.I d-did s-so many g-good things f-for others. And th-this is how god l-left m-me. I d-didn't think you would love m-me. Not f-for a second. B-but I knew y-you were as c-close to love as I was e-ever going to g-get." the doctor walked in and gave Sam a towal. He walked over to Yuki and gave her a shot.
He looked at Sam and spoke as she fell asleep. "She will be fine. She just neds some rest. Take a shower. Do you have a faily member I could tell your 'where-abouts' too?"

Samuel sniffled and let out a shakey, breathy sigh as he tried hard to stop crying. But hearing all the awful things that had happened to Yuki kept the tears running down his face. Carefully he peered through his fingers to look at the doctor, tears still flowing as he weakly nodded. "M-my m-mother.." he murmured quietly in a choked voice as he shakily tried to wipe Yuki's blood off of him. "I-I d-don't w-want t-to l-leave Y-yuki, n-not e-even f-for a sh-shower.." he said quietly as he sniffled, finally managing to calm down enough so that his eyes were watery but no more tears were flowing.

Yuki peacefully lay there, asleep, as doctors came in and out doing things from making sure she was Hydrated, to injecting anti-depressents. She awoke several hours later. It was now dark outside. She was back to "NORMAL".
"Sam? Oh God, what have I done to you? Are you Ok?" she was more worried about him than herself.

All the while Samuel was by her side, never leaving for anything. His head was resting in his hands as he sat there beside the bed, looking exaughsted with dry tears on his face. When she spoke he blinked and quickly sat up straight. "Y-yuki, y-you're alright!" he blinked again then reached one of his bandaged and slender hands to rub the back of his head: he was shirtless now since he had used his jacket to keep her from bleeding. It was now very easy to tell that he was abused, mostly from the dark bruises and bandages that he had. "D-don't w-worry about it.." he murmured quietly, hoping that she would be alright.

Yuki couldn't help but stare at the multiple bruises. "I-I was right? Oh Sam, you could've told me." she felt like pulling him into a hug, but then she remembered that Sam didn't like her the same way. "Sam...." she tried not to frown as she took the towl and wiped some blood he missed from his face.

Cattra then knocks on the door of the room and looks in. "Yuki?" he asks and looks seeing Sam and knew he was at the right door and takes a step in. "how are you feeling?" he rubs the back of his neck. "You made the news you know... Attempted Homicide victim." he finds a chair and sits down. "I thought I would come pay a visit..." he smiles at her
