FrozenPhoenix32 OOh. Spiderman is like my favorite character. Peter parker can just never win. He may win the physical battle, but he always loses the personal battle. Funny you say that, FP. When I speak of my original works, I always liken Celestia to Spiderman, with Jamie likened to Peter Parker. ^_^

To tell the truth, the only comics I've read are my dad's old ones from like the 80s.
I just catch up on wikipedia.

Just go to a bookstore, and read a bunch of the TPBs, if you want, that's what I do...

Yeah, it's really fun when the person at the cash register next to the starbucks tells me to "buy something or leave", and I get a bookmark, and keep reading.

So what are all your thoughts on NJO? it seems as though you either love it or hate it.
I was once a hater. No more.

Don't say you weren't warned, then. (( highlight for Jamie's honest brutal opinion on NJO ))
Blows goats in the rain.
And, thus, my thoughts on NJO. I tend to mentally fast forward to Legacy era, regarding the Prostate Schlong as Bob's Bad Acid Trip.

Hmm, a lot of people tend to say that.
My personal feeling is that to really feel the NJO, you ahve to read every book in order, only then does it really hit you. I admit, the first few were slow and boring, and it really did have it's ups and downs.
Vector Prime was a shocker, evn though I new Chewie would die. Dark Tide showed how sick the Vong really were. Agents of Chaos was just slow and irritating, and marked Vergere's entrance. Balance Point was boring, but it marked the Vong's bounty on the Jedi, and it showed how the Jedi really entered the fight since the government woulkdn't do anything. Edge of Victory was fun at first, then boring. Star by Star was the tragedy, so much tradgedy. Dark Journey made you want to bitchslap both Kyp Durron and Jaina. Enemy Lines was brilliant, returned to Rebellion style tactics. Traitor was ******** awesome. Destiny's Way marked the decline of the Vong. Force Heretic was the beginning of the end, Final Prophecy was filler.
And The Unifying Force was the magnificent end.

Personally, if you want to just read em in a short way, just read the hardcovers: Vector Prime, Balance Point, Star by Star, Destiny's Way and The Unifying Force.
It should make sense, even though you won't get some small parts. If you don't want to read the whole series, and only the GOOD books, read the above and Dark Tide: Ruin, Edge of Victory: Conquest, Enemy Lines: Rebel Dream and Rebel Stand and then finally TRAITOR.

I honestly liked Vector Prime a lot, and haven't read much of the rest of the series. R.J. did a good job for someone so inexperienced in the world, I think, and while I hate the Vong with a passion, people need to get that the NJO happened, like it or not.
