"If you're not going to do anything useful... then shut the ******** up or I'll shut you up!" Colonel Akaga swore as he switched the setting on his E-11 to stun and pointed it at her. The Colonel looked past her to the driver, "Driver, head for the junction of 45th and Gamma, and step on it!"
The Hoverscout roared down the road and suddenly turned onto a street parallel to the rebels and roared ahead of them before cutting across their escape route and coming to a stop.
"Special Missions... GO! GO! GO!" The Colonel yelled as the craft's hatch slid open.

Kara smirked at the man as he almost lost it. The poor fellow's blood preassure must have been through the roof. Not a good command example to set. If he lost it like this when he was under stress, the man would prove to be even more of a liability.
It was the nightfighting that was screwing them over. They couldnt see their targets. They needed some way to take that darkness avantage from the enemy. By chance she noted a storage bin for emercency equipment by her boot. A thought struck her. ----------------------- The Special missions team in their body armor rolled out of the craft, sending precision bursts of fire downrange at the rebels as they moved for cover.
Darting behind a wall, Kara drew the road flare she had taken out of the hovercraft and activated it. She heaved it down the alley before diving back for cover as the flare sputtered and then blossomed to life, filling the alley with a sparking light and revealing the enemy hiding in the darkness.
"Take 'em down, boys!" She shouted as she fired around the corner, aiming a few bursts at the wookiee.

We have the worst kriffing luck...
Groz mumbled as they jumped behind odds and ends in the alley. He could not defend two injured men with his low armaments. He couldn't save his squad, but he could save himself and Barin. Maybe the others would be seen as drunks sleeping in an alley and left alone. Nonetheless, he motioned to Barin, who popped up and launched a rocket at the vehicle blocking their way, then Groz raised above his cover to eye level and began taking shots with his Hunter, aiming for throats.

(It's not luck... it's eyes in the sky.)
As the launch of a PLX Missile lit up the alleyway the Swift Assault 5 spoke, it's autoblaster turret blazing away like an old fashioned gatling gun. Ten meters from the vehicle's armored plate the bolts connected with the roaring missile and it detonated in a brilliant blue-white flash.
Annoyed, but temporarily relieved by the venting he'd delivered at the navy Leutenant, Colonel Akaga grabbed a box of stun grenades from the back cabin of the vehicle and ran out of the hover scout. He dropped below a piece of cover and pulled open the box.
Saburo pulled out a grenade and ripped out the pin and hurled it over the crate he'd hidden behind. He followed the first grenade with two more, hurling them away from each other to cover more of the alley. The loud clap of three stun grenades reverberated in the alley.
With that done he leaned around the crate with his E-11 and studied the alley through the scope of the rifle. Nothing was moving...

A shot flew past Saburo's head as Groz tried to finish the stupid charade. He was able to follow the mans movments and although the stun grenades had knockd Barin out, his hide was much more resilient. Groz was tired and it showed. He was done shooting, but thte first person to move was getting hit in the throat.

Then in the dust and debris something shaggy moved. Smiling coldly Colonel Akaga unfolded the E-11's stock and tucked it into his shoulder. Slowly he let out a breath and pulled the trigger.
A series of blue rings spat out into the darkness and caught the wookiee in the torso. The creature seemed to wince but didn't fall, and the Colonel pulled the trigger a second time.

Eiko watched the fire-fight from the point of view of the ARC-170's circling above. She had figured out how to differentiate between the imperials and rebels. Those with hovercraft were imperial, those with weapons that showed a bright bolt of light when they were fired, were imperial. Those that they were shooting at were rebels.
A bright smile appeared on her face as she tapped in a second transmission and set of targeting coordinates:
Air Strike requested.
Coordinates: N: 39.746207, W: 47.783198, A: 000

High above New Karna one of the circling ARC-170s rolled toward the city as it's pilot called, "Roger control, strike on the way..."

He was done. This was now a battle of no possible winning scenario. He had to run. He could liberate Barin and his men later. But sitting here, playing with the Imps would get him killed. So he decided to do something rather risky. He, keeping his head below the crate, raised one hand to rest his Hunter on the crate, but kept it aimed at the Imps. With his other hand he pulled his pistol. Raising his head just enough to see, he began firing both with one hand (only managing two shots with the Hunter) then abrubtly stopped. He then rested the gun against the crate, to make it appear as if he was still sitting there, ready to fight. He turned around, got as low as he could and began crawling/ scurrying away, trying to escape.

The fire in the alley was dying down in a hurry. The Rebels were going down or falling back. Time to clean up the rabble.
"Squad, Move in!" Kara shouted as she advanced cautiously, firing bursts in the rebels' direction. A bullet grazed her neck but she paid it no heed as she moved in, Colsan watching their back as the rest of the squad avanced with her. Nascrimento, seeing a rebel still alive, flicked a switch, stunned the wretch, and then bound his wrists behind his back before quickly rejoining Kara and Lund. The squad kept moving from one prone figure to the next, checking for life and pulling the old "Stun and restrain" on survivors, with Colsan covering the squad's back.
Shots could still be heard and the muzzle flash from a single rifle could be seen breaking the shadows of the alley. The fire was inaccurate and un aimed. It was designed to keep people down.
The NSMASC squad was made of sterner stuff, recognizing the distracting fire for what it was. Zeroing in on the rifle fire, the squad opened up at the first pause in the fire.
A blasted rifle went flying, but there was no man behind it.
"We got a runner!" Kara shouted back up the alley. "Get the Scout around the block and cover the exits! Colson, on us! Move, Move!"
Colson, seeing the Colonel and his nice little stash of grenades nearby, snagged a couple from the crae and hooked them to his belt.
"Get in the hoverscout, sir. Don't worry. We got this." Colsan told Akaga as he hustled off to regroup with his squad, E-11 at his shoulder.
The Squad moved down the alley, following a trail of burning hair stench and fur patches. Aryss, catching sight of the target, dropped to a knee. The wook was now in the gunsights of four trained soldiers armed with highpowered blasters. He had no place to go.
"Drop the weapon and place your hands on your head." Kara barked at the wook in acommanding tone. "Do it now."

(Since Des still hasn't posted anything as twitch... I'll keep puppeting him.)
Colonel Akaga nodded to the Lieutenant as he clambered back aboard the Hoverscout and tossed the box of grenades in the back. That done he moved up beside "Twitch" and watched the four NSMAC troopers corner the wookiee. If he'd kept running they'd track him down. Suddenly a brilliant flare of light appeared on the screen.
"What the sith!" Suddenly, he realized what the streak of light was and activated his helmet microphone, "Everyone! Take cover!"
Outside the Proton Torpedo streaked downward, it's target just ahead. A group of twenty odd men, most still in their formal uniforms. They were the small ad hoc group that Captain Hildegard had assembled, and in just two seconds the torpedo would land in the midst of them.

Groz growled to himself and quickly stuffed the pistol inbetween his belt and under his fur. Then as they pulled their guns on him he put his hands on his hand and growled "Moron Imperials" in Shriiwook. Ah, the beauty of shutting off your translator. He knelt facing them (hands still on head), to save them the trouble of asking. He had to choose his battles now and this was one he could not win.
