Skye did her little twirl and came to a stop, seeing that Tristan wasn't joining in. She blinked questioningly and cocked her head.
"What do?" she asked, her tone confused.

"I'm going to teach you some new moves, and a certain way to walk, or dance that is going to be very important," Tristan explained bending over a bit.
She had taught Skye how to 'walk' on the flats of her feet, because she didn't want to try this quite yet at the time.

Skye stared at Tristan and blinked, completely lost.

Tris sighed, it looked like this would take a while.
"Would you like to learn more Skye?" she kept it simple.
It was hard to explain, that there was more to it than what she had been teaching Skye.

Skye's eyes lit up, and she grinned and nodded. "Skye like learn more!" she said brightly. "More like Tristan and Yuki do?"

"Yes, more like what Yuki and I do," Tris noded slowly, "Do you want to do that?"

Skye nodded, smiling. Yes please!" she giggled, unfurling her wings and flapping them a bit.

"Okay, first things first, get into your starting position," she put herself into that position to show Skye.
Sometimes, she thought, you had ot teach to understand how important the basic moves are.

Skye copied Tristan, though she was quite used to the starting position by now.
"What now?" she asked with an eager smile.

Tris then used her the tips of her toes to force herself up until she was on the tips of her toes. Though she had a feeling she was going to wreck her shoes doing that, they weren't really meant for that.
"Most of the time we dance on our toes," she explained to Skye.

Skye put her wings out to try lighten herself and went up on her toes as well - though really the best she could do was go on the balls of her feet and lean forward a bit.
She frowned and tried again, flapping her wings as if trying to fly. She managed to get up on the very tips of her toes for only about a half second before falling forward and landing on her hands and knees on the mat.
She frowned again and stood up, looking at Tristan and pouting.
"Won't work," she complained.

"It takes a bit of practice and a bit of strength," Tris put her feet back to the ground, "You don't need to be perfectly on your toes quite yet, you need to gather strength in your toes to do that first. Here, give me your hands..."
She held her hands a bit above Skye's head so the little girl would have to put her arms up to grab them.
"It's often not balance you have to worry about, it does put a lot of pressure on your toes."

Skye reached up to grab hold of Tristan's hands and tried to raise herself up onto her toes again. She beat her wings, spreading her feathers for the most power, and this time, though she wobbled a bit, she was able to stay up for longer.
She looked up at Tristan and grinned proudly. "Skye do it!" she exclaimed.

"I'm going to get Yuki to install the bars we use, you can use that to lift yourself up and get strength," Tris told Skye, "Until then, I"ll help, so... go up and down on your toes ten times for me okay?" she asked, not sure if she would be willing too.

Skye blinked at Tristan, a little confused. Her friend had spoken quickly and used words that Skye couldn't recognize yet, that weren't common to her.
"What you say?" she asked, her brow furrowing a little in confusion.
