And now, Trakkan had a headache. Where were all these people coming from? And all they seemed to be doing was bringing more trouble to the islands, when they already had their plate full with the undead hordes.
He brought a hand up and started to rub the side of his aching skull. At the moment, he just wanted them to leave.

"Sorry for bothering you we didn't expect our own enemies to come at us right now." Seth replied and then the seemed to vanish except the bald one, but where rather in the ship. "I feel like a nice swim mabe to Latent today?" He replied as if it was normal to swim that distance. He then step through his portal and arrived on the beach on his way out. Finally he jumped into the water and swam like crazy. Anyone who would normally be able see him in the distantance could see a serpentine shape instead.

[******** it. I'm just assuming that they all left.]
With the group of strangers gone, that was one thing out of Trakkan's hair horns. Now, he only had an undead invasion and the protection of an entire village to deal with. He huffed through his nostrils, the equivalent of a sigh, and began barking orders to his soldiers.
Soon, they had all drawn back into a defensive ring around the village, ready to defend their homes if another onslaught came. Trakkan himself headed back into the village. He needed to return to the command center, and coordinate the movements of the Guardians.
As he approached the Guardian House, someone called out to him. He turned his head to look . . . and found Lani walking towards him. Trakkan stopped, and even smiled a little. He was glad to see his stepdaughter, and he was always more than willing to make time for her.
As she drew near, he said, "Is there something you need, Lani?"
She stopped in front of him, looking a little worried. "I just wanted to know if you had news of Lanuk," she said. Trakkan knew that his stepson and her brother was a reserve member of the Guardians. Fortunately, he knew where Lanuk was. Unfortunately, it wouldn't make her very happy.
"He's on perimeter duty, running regular patrols into the forest," Trakkan told her, frowning as he saw the concern in her expression deepen.
"Is there anything you can do?"
"I would have pulled him off and assigned him elsewhere, but he specifically requested the assignment," Trakkan said. "He wishes to fulfill his duty, and I would dishonor him by forcing him to do otherwise."
Slowly, Lani nodded understandingly. Her father had died when she and Lanuk had only been hatchlings, and Trakkan had become their mother's mate when they were still adolescents. Even in Draconian society, there were difficulties in stepfamilies, but Trakkan was a good father and a noble Draconian. It had taken some time, but the siblings had adjusted, and now they were as close as any family. And if Trakkan had been Lanuk's father, the situation would have been the same: he didn't want to insult his son's honor.
With another huff of his nostrils, Trakkan said, "I apologize, Lani, but I must get inside. I am needed." He paused. "Before I go . . . how is the child?"
For a moment, Lani's worried expression was replaced with a happy one as she looked down, and placed one hand over her stomach. "The Healer said it is healthy and developing well." She glanced up. "Darius is overjoyed. I have never seen him so excited. I will be laying the egg in about a month."
Trakkan smiled at her. "I am glad. I look forward to having a grandson." He reached out, and touched the end of her snout with his finger, a sign of affection. "I must return to my duties now. I will relay any news of Lanuk to you if I can."
She nodded and said, "Thank you." Trakkan turned, and headed into the Guardian House while Lani made her way back towards her household.
