Faith thought she'd seen a movement in the lake, but she wasn't sure. She cautiously poked around in the water with a stick, trying to see past the murky water for any glimpses of a Pokemon.
Suddenly, a Dratini popped out, seemingly able to operate juts as well on land as it could in water. Inexperienced as she was, Faith could tell this was a stronger Pokemon than any she'd ever seen, by a very long stretch. Her first thought was just to put the Dratini back in the water and walk away - after all, her Pokemon were barely level 5 and this one was probably over four times their level! But, an eerie silver spirit in the very likeness of herself drifted before her and persuaded her to try catching it.
It's rare, the voice whispered, echoing around her head like the midnight wind.
"So what? I don't want to catch a Pokemon for rarity!" Faith protested aloud, so caught up in arguing with her 'other self' that she was completely unaware if anyone else was listening.
You could sell it for a lot of money, the words continued, the voice laced with temptation.
"I told you, I couldn't care less how rare it is, or how much it's worth!" Faith cried with frustration, feebly smacking the spirit to no avail, as her hand slid through the image like a ghost. "And go away!"
Well, it would be a new addition to your Pokedex, I suppose... the spirit said simply, then vanished.

That last sentence made Faith think a little, however.
It's true I could have another entry for my Pokedex, she said to herself, absentmindedly twirling a lock of chestnut hair around her finger while she watched the Dratini blink at her and hop in and out between water and land. But I don't want my Pokemon to faint because of what I want...is this what I want?
Her mental battles haad become more and more frequent ever since she had started her Pokemon journey. She knew she was naive and undecisive, but she couldn't help it.
She knew the Dratini looked very happy as it was in nature, but if she didn't catch it, no doubt someone else would. And what if that person took advantage of it's rarity or value? she reasoned, taking her Pokeballs from her bag and letting Truth and Hope stretch their legs.
"You two...do you think I should try-" Faith began, then stopped short as her look of uncertainty turned to one of utmost shock and surprise. As soon as Hope and done so much as look at the Dratini, she had attacked, catching it unawares with a vicious Bite.
Rash nature, she reasoned, watching the Dratini recoil with surprise and pain as its head snaked around Hope for a Constrict attack. It seemed to have been attacked by another Pokemon earlier, as it had various marks all over its body that rendered a rather battered-looking Pokemon.

Hope was no match for the level 25 Pokemon, and soon her struggling was decreased to feeble wriggling. She batted at the Dratini with a paw, but her hardest blows did not have much effect at all.
Just as Faith was despairing on seeing her Pokemon faint, she was caught by surprise yet again, this time by Truth. The little Charmander, although inexperienced, had rushed to her friend's aid, slashing at the Dratini's soft underbelly with an enraged Metal Claw attack, coming in with a critical hit.
The Dratini loosened its grip on Hope, who sank to the ground, breathing painfully. Faith ran over and cradled the Eevee in her arms, petting the matted fur and crooning softly.
The Dratini, however, had turned its attention to Truth. The Fire Pokemon stood bravely, spurting blazes of fire at the Dratini, whose burns healed almost immediately due to the Shed Skin ability. However, it was so caught up throwing off its skin it had not had time to attack, so the attacks were working. Little by little the actions had become more clumsy and slow, and Truth was keeping a good distance with the ranged Flamethrower.

Truth was also weakening, however, gradually running out of power for Flamethrower. She was now reduced to embers of flame, which she had apparently realised as she ran forward and slashed with Metal Claws while the Dratini seemed to be crawling out of its 20th skin.
Truth seemed determined to finish it off, however, and Hope too, for she suddenly wriggled out of Faith's grasp and stumbled over to the Dratini, biting in savagely on the underside of the neck.
The Dratini roared with pain and lashed out at Hope, who was sent flying back to Faith's feet. This was all the Eevee could take; she came to rest on her stomach, her eyes closed. Faith decided this was enough - with tears brimming on her eyelids she returned Truth and Hope to their Pokeballs and tossed an empty one at the Dratini, just in case. She had allowed her Pokemon to faint, and this would surely haunt her thoughts for days on end.

I've had a question for a while now - how do you all find my roleplaying? I'm trying to cater to all types of roleplayers, and always try to be literate so people can actually understand me. Am I typing too much at once or doing anything that makes you uncomfortable? I can try to change it a little bit (:

Persain isntanlly comes out with a Very Fearce face on and uses light sun and healed Hope Fanith and Ember in a flash.''Persain Miu shoutes pick up the pokemon and use confusion! ppppprrrrrrr twisted send the Dratini away from them they need metical help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
