She enjoyed the time he hugged her. She always felt a little better knowing he was there with her. As he told his sory, Kikyo wiped the tears off of her face with the sleeve of her jacket. The whole time he told his story, she nodde to show she was still keeping up. She saw the tree he was talking about, and wondered why not even his father knew about this area. She turned to get a better look at the tree. She saw the Soshi code on the trunk, and had wanted to get a better look at it. She felt a little glad when he told her he wanted her to go look. So when he finished, she stood up.

Despite how well Kekkaishi healed her, she still felt stiff. She immidiately went down on one knee before moaing and bending over in pain. She mummbled something about pain pills and started fumbling with her jacket. She undid the jacket and slipped it off. She went into a sitting posiotion and started going through the pockets hidden inside the jacket. She finally found the pain killers she needed that'd help a least a litle of the stiffness so she could at least fix the rest herself. She used a little of the hydro flood to fill her hand with water, which she used to wash down the pills before she stood up and walked to the tree.

Kikyo looked over her shoulder at him. "I don't need the pills... I just prefer the pills. I'm getting better without them. I was just way sore and needed them to move. And don't worry about it. You're still learning that move. And the food pills you stole from me are ones I made myself and that I use when I need that extra burst of energy, so I'm used to it by now. is all. I got more chakara by taking two of those and having my body already used to them." She turned so she was facing him and bent backwards, making her joints crack in several areas.

She breathed in through her teeth since that hurt a little, but at least she wasn;t stiff in her back any more. She read the markings on the tree, mentally translating it in the back of her mind. She stood up, turned around, and sat back down. She started streching her leg while she re-read it multiple times so she could remember it. 'Ok. Maybe this isn't as hard as I thought it'd be. All I need to do is make sure I get right in at least one of my first tries.' She took a deep breath and focused.

She nodded and tried doing the hand signs. She used the amount of chakara she thought was needed, but it didn't seem to do anything. She increased her chakara, but she didn't think it did much better. She started to get annoyed that this wasn't working out. She sighed and put her hands to her side. She mummbled something to herself and tried again. This time she thought she got close, but it still didn't work for her. She growled in annoyance at herself. She almost kicked the tree, but she stoped herself before she could bring her leg back, knowing it would do nothing to help her.

She sat down and got into a lotus postion to meditate. She figured part of the problem was that she knew Kekkaishi was watching her, so she was getting distracted by her fear of looking stupid if she failed at learning the technique. She cleared her mind and just thought about what she was doing wrong and what it was she really needed to be doing. She took one last breath before looking over the carvings in the side of the tree to make sure she hadn't missed something. Sure enough, she had gotten something wrong since she had rushed through with the decoding. She stood up and corrected what she'd done wrong. She felt herself levitate a little off the ground and smiled before turning to Kekkaishi. "Like that? Did I do it right?"

She smiled when he had told her she was doing pretty good. That was all she needed. Just some possitive thinking and some encouragement. She had tried to see if she coud get a little higher when she saw he was trying something. When his sword was engulfed with water, she smiled and got a bit of a curious look on her face. "Oh wow Kaishi! That's so cool." Now she really wanted to improve. At the rate Kekkaishi was growing, he'd pass her in no time. She didn't want that to happen. She wanted to stay at least even with him. So if to stay even she had to learn Air walk, then she was going to work hard to figure this out.

She tried to get herself to go higher, but she was still alittle distracted. So while she was managing to get one side of her to get higher, she some how managed to activate the darkness rains on her other side. She was soon leaning a little haradously to the side, almost completely upside down. She made a face of annoyance. "... How the hell did I manage to do this? Great. Gotta find a away t fix this mess. I know!" She used darkness rains on herself, causing her to fall to the ground with a thud. She stood up and brushed herself off while cursing under her breath.

She couldn't help but giggle a little at his comments about the scroll. She took it from him and looked it over and pointed at the scroll. "My dad put chakara into all the scrolls h gave me and formed the chaara into the shapes of the words just in case the words rubbed off or something. Your smart. You'll figure out a way to sense which shapes the chakara's in." She hadn't the scroll back to him and stuck her tongue out at him before taking a deep breath and shaking the little dirt that was on her off. She grabbed her jacket off the ground and hung it on a nearby branch.

She thought for a moment and decided she should at least figure out how high she could jump. She took a kunia from her sleev and went over to another tree. She jumped up, and, when she felt like she lost momentum, she threw the kunia straight at the tree. When she landed, she calculated that she could jump about 5 feet in the air, so she decided she'd try 3 feet first. She managed to get it, but just in case it wasn't right she practiced walking. When she got the hang of that, she went to 3 1/2 feet. She nodded contently, figuring that was enough practice. That she'd figured the jutsu out.

She laughed nervously. "Actually, I was reading it underwater. I just have really good vision and could see where the ink used to be. It's hard to see it now though."

"Huh?" She put a hand to her face and felt the cloth that covered the lower half of her face as thought she didn't even kow it was there. "Oh. I guess I've just gotten so used to wearing it that I forget that I have it on. And when I'm not wearing it, I guess I feel... a little exposed." She blushed a little under her mask. "Besides, I think it's funny that the only people who know what my face looks like are you and my family. It drives everyone nuts knowing they can't figure out hat I look like. In fact, I'd catch guys trying to look in through the windows at my old home to see if they could catch a glimpse of my face. I always used to set traps and then hear as they got drentched or something." She smiled and chuckled a little.

She blushed a little and looked to the side from the corner of her eye. "I didn't mean to hit you. It's one of those girl relfex things I told you about. You know, some one bad mouthes you, you hit them. Some one makes a perveted comment about you to your face, you hit them. And if some one sees you bathing in a river in the middle of a forest when you least expect to be seen naked, you hit them. Notice how all of my reflexes are automatically to hit some one?" She shrugged. "That's why the doctor hates seeing me since the last time he did the reflex test I kicked him in the face and put him in a head lock." She laughed a little and nodded. "Yeah. It'd be a good idea to work on our taijutsu some. And maybe one or two genjutsues wouldn't hurt either."
