t0shi0 What's a social security card? Well it's a important card for Americans. Every American citizen has one, it's a form of identification.. Once someone steals it from you, they can identi-thief you. That is a major issue in the usa now adays, financially.
That's why people are told not to carry with them, it's better off being locked up somewhere safely in your home. 3nodding
Social security is a welfare program, incase you were wondering too. Social security provides goverment assistance for the elderly, unemployed and disabled. Economically of course. Right now it's a controvertal issue in congress, whether to privatize it or not.

In my wallet I only keep money and my debit card - which are both replaceable. Well I hope you find it soon. Anyways, is a social security card in America the same as a national insurance card in Britain?

Tokioka Anyways, is a social security card in America the same as a national insurance card in Britain? Not exactly the same. In America, we get them at birth. One is presented to our parents. 3nodding The usage sound similar. We need our social security card to apply for jobs, our liscenses and yeah the welfare system. It's more of a identification thing. I think the governor of loussiana, told the morons that refused to leave before hurricane Rita struck New Orleans was to "Write your social security number in permit marker on your arm." 3nodding
Yalie~ Good luck tracking them down, incase they've stolen your identity, I think the goverment has started a retribrution program for victims of identity thief to make up for the time you spend trying to get your identity back and credit back in order. 3nodding
Yeah a safety deposit box would work. 3nodding
t0shi0~ xd You don't have any similar programs in Canada?
