Quote: You know? I never know what to put in these things. Everyone else puts labels, interests, and general knowledge of themselves but I never really did like doing that. Sure, it gives people a general knowledge of who you are, but most of the time it just stereotypes you and everything.
"Don't judge a book by it's cover." There's a lot on the inside that you don't know about.
However, I will say a few things about myself, pertaining to Gaia. In my time on Gaia I've been to the main forums and have obtained some sort of regular status to them. I've been to the ChatterBox, I've been to General Discussion, I've been to the art forums, I've been to the Extend Discussion and in all the time that I've been on Gaia I still think Life Issues is one of the best places to go to.
Life Issues sub-forum is where I'm at.
I've been in the Life Issues forum what seems like all my time on Gaia. I probably started out over a year ago, easily, and obtained regular status easily. I got to know the people and everything. We got a Regulars guild going that lasted for quite some time actually. In that time there was drama, there was trolling, there was helping, and there was friendliness.
I can tell you this, though; I haven't always been the Good Samaritan that I've made out to be. I used to be, what I would call, very cynical and was getting rather well at it. I used to hit up the forums to better myself and it taught me a lot. It taught me how to deal with people who don't favor you in the slightest.
With that, I had a histrionic change with myself, my personality, and how I approached Gaia. The whole Life Issues forum was bedazzled and appalled at my actions but despite the public opinion I changed the way I acted. I went from, what most people would call, a cynical a*****e to an optimistic advice giver. Some people still don't agree with my actions but I still live up to them. I'm happy that I changed.
With my new attitude and reputation I believe I was one of the main reasons for the complete change of the LI forum. Along with others, of course, especially a fantastic LI helper, Sensedog, and a moderate mod Arrien. We went on a massive spree to help everyone that we could with all the time we had. It was so extreme at sometimes that it seemed like Sensedog and I had one mind. At the end of the school year last year and in summer I would get off and Sensedog would get on helping people, then he would get off and I would get on. Those were the good times.
Although, as hard as it is sometimes, all good times end. There's been a rapid decline in all the oldbies and regulars of LI. Most have other accommodations they have to deal with, not excluding myself. Some are MIA, some are getting married, some are having kids, some are away at college, and some are just flat out busy.
I'd kill for a day to get them all back on a LI reunion to have good times giving advice, telling stories, and just having a good time. Most likely won't happen though.
Throughout my time in LI I've helped a lot of people. I'm still willing to help anyone that I can. I have my own guild out specifically for that if you want to check it out. I still prance around the forums every once in a while looking for a thread. However, with the rapid decline of our posts it almost seems as if LI isn't about advice anymore, but rather, the exact opposite. Who knows?
This is what I thought should go here. That's what I was going to write in my About Me but it's too long. Oh well.

We must impeach President Bush because the very sanctity of our rights and our constitution is at sake. If you think I'm joking, I'm not, I'm being absolutely serious.

I understand. However, he won't be stopped at this point. Why? Well, because there is nothing to stop him. The republican party effectively holds majority control in both houses of congress, the supreme court, and America in general now. Until his term ends we just have to deal with it.
But on the bright side, if Bush screws-up enough the democrats may actually stand a better chance in 2008. And when has Bush not ******** somehow? xd

This is true. But Bush isn't an idiot, even though I often claim he is. He's hired some of the most brightest political minds to guide him through his tenure as "World's Most Powerful Man." Orchestrating Gulf War II was his sure-fire bet to get re-elected, and guess what? It worked. Honestly, my opinion of the average voter has continued to decline, so much so that if term limits weren't the law, I'd suspect he'd win yet another term. Sad, isn't it? Thank god for term limits.
But then again...about re-election, we've all seen the monkey hack the e-voting machines, right?

I've heard in the news a few things about that. And as ignorant as the republicans are they're going to by everything they hear. xd Just kidding, but I think Republicans will generally go for a Republican president, obviously.
Thank "god" someone replied to that. I thought I was to vulgar in what I said. However, FROM WHAT I KNOW, I seriously think Bush is going to cause a lot of problems with America especially with our judicial system. With this new judiciary nominee we could be facing a judicial court that favors belief instead of the law. I don't want to start making accusations and conspiracies because quite frankly I'd look like an idiot and some people just can't handle it. So, I'll hold off on it, but I really do think that the apathy and easy belief of America now is really going to screw over our entire system of government.
Haha, lol, yeah. Now you're talking about President Bush right? I don't know if I could honestly handle another Bush in power. If Jeb starts campaigning the Democrats are going to have to do something serious about it. It'll be like Hillary vs Jeb and I'll be forced to vote Hillary. sweatdrop Just kidding really, I don't even know Hillary's politics but if you ask me she hasn't been doing well in getting me on board with her.
Yeah, why don't the democrats do anything about anything? I always hear on the news that they chicken out and things like that. Is it because they can't or what? I know the Right is heavily more equipped (money) than the Left, but I mean, they can do something.
You know, I honestly think a lot more people would despise Bush if they took the time to see what he's been doing for this country. I can't honestly say that I've heard one good thing about him. Or one good thing that could be like "Hey, Pres Bush did this aren't we cool."
I will not be voting for Harriet Miers either (even though you don't vote for them).

Soleq This is true. Exactly. That's the one thing that makes me hate him about the Katrina Crisis. Now, again, I'm not trying to throw conspiracies or anything like that; however, don't you think it's kind of ironic of how long it took Bush to make a speech and take action on New Orleans? I remember specifically in the media one of his advisors or cabinet members or something that he was "given the wrong information." Ok, for one, you're the president of the United States, you know? How the hell do you get wrong information about a disaster this huge in America? Secondly, I think the president would watch the news every once in a while even if he is on vacation, don't you think he would have saw the one of many stories going on about it? Again, not trying to make bogus accusations, but don't you think it's a little ironic that most of the community down there is black, poor, or in poverty of somesort? At least that's what I heard on the news. If you ask me, I think it's kind of ironic.
That's the exact reason of why it's impossible for me not to vote. I always say that it's not worth my time and it's pointless but I can't just be another person who says "My vote doesn't matter" because I'm not going to give more power to a president that doesn't deserve it.
Yeah, a lot of people were saying that he won over the election with a few "personal" opinions that he's had. That he's all about pro-life and no gay marriages. With my recent knowledge of voters I honestly don't doubt that he won the election on that. And that is dispicable. I'm gonna stop there before I start saying some things.
Never seen anything online, like they would e-mail me or anything. I wouldn't know though, maybe I don't know what you're talking about. I remember seeing all the mudslinging in the presidential debates though. And I remember how ignorant our president looked when he had to stop for five minutes to think of the word he was trying to say.
I swear Soleq, you should get that book. I guarantee you'll like it. Everyone should buy the book, lol. "Using Terri."
And as a final statement I'm going to say this: Our laws should not be based on creation, but reason.

Sensedog But on the bright side, if Bush screws-up enough the democrats may actually stand a better chance in 2008. And when has Bush not ******** somehow? xd I think you have a point there. Even if Republicans have the majority, a few of my Republican friends are getting sick of him. It's a sign at least. Don't know if that means they would vote Democratic, but they definitely have serious problems with Bush. (And look at California for an example of people going against party lines. Democratic state voted for a Republican governor. Yeah, the fact that he was a celebrity helped, but I say that Gray Davis still ******** up so badly that he smeared the Democrat rep in California. Of course, that is changing now. Sheesh, after Davis and the Gobernator, I don't know who the hell I would want to vote for.)
