Kai nodded, following her and pausing just behind as they reached the path. He started at it curiously for a moment. So there are people here? he thought to himself, wondering if they were invading in someone's territory perhaps by accident. He blinked and pushed the thoughts away though as he heard her speak. "Yeah, it will be fun," he laughed, resisting the urge to ruffle her hair again. Instead, he ran a hand through his own hair, causing it to stick up oddly again.

[[i know it's somewhat of a GM type of thing, but it's small, so i'm just going to do what i wanted xD]]
Skylar watched him ruffle his hair before smirking. In an instant, she jumped up and reached out both hands, ruffling his hair-although it didn't make much of a difference from what it had been previously- standing up on tippy toes. "I'm short compared to you, but that's okay!" she cried while seemingly messing up his hair. When she was done, about five seconds later, she laughed and started to run away, running between the trees and looking over her shoulder to see if he was following her.

[Haha, that's fine! Ack, maybe we should hurry up...? ><;;]
Kai blinked as he saw her smirk, then burst out laughing as she suddenly leapt towards him and began messing up his hair even further. "Did you ever think that maybe I'm just tall?" he asked with a grin. He'd automatically bowed over slightly to shorten the distance she had to reach to get to his hair, and quickly straightened again as he watched her dash away. He kept grinning to himself, chuckling softly under his breath as he started walking casually towards her. He didn't even bother fixing his hair. there wasn't much to fix anyway.

[[nah, al doesn't mind waiting; we're almost there, anyway xD]]
Skylar looked behind her, stopping for a moment. Kai was just walking? "No fun, no fun at all!" she called out to him, hurrying foward before seeing a tree that was tall and led up to a tall hill of some sort. Looking once again behind her and not seeing Kai- since she was running and he walked- she started up the tree, glad she had been taught how to climb. She moved up quickly, over the rough bark that scrapped against her arms and her ankles, causing them, she knew, to turn red; hopefully there was no ticks or anything. After a moment or two, she was at the first tangle of braches, which were like small steps. She looked down, standing and holding onto the trunk and branches, waiting for Kai to come.

[Ah, ok... ^^;;]
Kai looked up, seeing her hurry out of sight. He shook his head slightly and picked up his pace, a bit concerned about what creatures, if any, lived on this island. With this thought in mind, he suddenly broke into a run, one hand gently over his chest as he moved. He soon found himself heading uphill, but he still didn't see Skylar anway. So he paused, raising his face slightly as he breathed in, searching for her scent. He blinked and turned his head slightly, seeing her up in a tree. He started at her, then shook his head in amusement. "What are you doing?"

Koichi swam faster, seeing the two start out of sight. No, where are they going now? he questioned himself, starting to come to the shelf of the island. He slowly walked up, trying to be forced back by the force of the outgoing waves. "No... how could you?" he growled, having saw that Skylar had played with the boys hair. "The boy...." he started, gritting his teeth and clenching his fists. He was frustrated beyond belief, more at the boy that Skylar. Who was he? And why did he think he had the right to just go around with Skylar like that? He couldn't help but feel that she was cheating on him, in some way.

[[ack! I have to start this play thing, so if i'm delayed like i just was, it's becuase of that!]]
Skylar laughed, seeing that he'd spotted her. "I'm climbing a tree, up to there," she said, removing one hand from the tree and pointing to the top of the hill. She smiled before placing a foot on a sterdy branch and continuing higher. At one point, though, she stopped and held onto one branch while walking sideways down another; she was going towards the mountain horizontally, quite high up. She didn't care though since she loved adventures. "Come on, Kai!" she called down to him, about half way out on the branch.

Kai raised a brow curiously as he watched her, then ran a hand absently through his hair as he glanced at the hill she pointed too. "Why can't we just walk?" he asked, tilting his head in amusement. But as she called for him to follow, he laughed and shook his head. "Fine, fine." He reached up, hand grabbing a hold of a sturdy branch, and then hauled himself up to it, setting his foot upon another, near the trunk where it was strongest. He made sure to position himself always below her, a bit nervous about her losing her footing and falling. This way, at least he'd be there to help. He steadily gained altitude as he followed after her.

Skylar was almost there, when suddenly the branch lowered dangerously. She squealed slightly, her eyes flashing towards the base of the branch. Her eyes widened as her grip around the branch above tightned; the branch had started to crack. However, as she started back towards the base, it suddenly snapped, sending her body down, dangling from that one branch she was holding. She watched, though, as the branch suddenly fell to the land, shattering into splinters. She knew she shouldn't move, and, since that had been one of the only branches near her, even if she climbed back she'd be stranded. "Kai, help!" she cried to him, not knowing quite what to do. Normally, she would have jumped, but the ground was too below for even her; she may have swung up, but she was on too skinny a part of the branch- there was no other branch sturdy enough for her to grab onto, as well.
[[Al is working on it too; i needa to camera directions and she needs to just make up the diologue xDDD cuz her group and she are a little... slow, so to say sinec they only talk during class sweatdrop ]]

Koichi dragged himself onto the beach, looking around. His feet rested on the hot sand, sticking to his wet body as he continued onward. He'd seen them go into a bunch of trees, so he had no choice but to follow them. He started towards it, slowly, seeing the boy far up ahead of him, Skylar no where to be seen. Finally, it seemded the boy had disappeared, so Koichi let himself sigh softly in relief. However, after suddenly hearing something snap somewhere that he thought the two had been, and then the sudden cry of what sounded like Skylar, he jolted forward; he'd have to make it in time, hopefully.

Kai looked up sharply as Skylar squealed, his eyes widening as he heard the beginning cracks of the branch. He gritted his teeth as she called to him and scrambled quickly upwards, no longer taking the precautions he had been to keep his hand from being injured further. No, this was much more important than some stupid stratches.
He glanced up at her every now and then to make sure she was still there. "Just hold on," he said softly. "I'm almost there." If he let fear show through his own voice, it'd only make her panic as well. He hurried upward, wincing as his right hand slid slightly on a branch, tearing a couple of the bandages. But he ignored it still as he continued upwards.
Soon after he'd made it to her and reached out his hand, gently looping his arm around her waist. "Let go," he said gently. "I've got you now."

Skylar shut her eyes, as she waited for him, trying not to move to much. Feeling his arm around her, though, and hearing him, she looked over. She smiled shakily, before doing as he said and letting go. She squeeked slightly, but was glad when she felt she was safe. She decided it'd be better to wait before thanking him and doing everything else as if they were on sturdy land; right then, they should be focusing on getting either down, or to that hill. "T-Thanks," she said fainlty, her voice stammering; the fact that Kai had shown he had been frightened hadn't made her more paniced for herself, but for him. I made him come up... even after he had his injuries, she thought, How can i be so selfish?!

Kai smiled at her as she let go and he pulled her swiftly to himself. "Don't worry about it," he said with a laugh as she thanked him. "Now, since we're alread this far, let's make it to that damn hill." He grinned as he started upwards again, pulling them both up with his right hand and completely ignoring the fact he was straining his wounds again. He paused once his feet were planted firmly again and then glanced ahead. "It's right there," he said, nodding towards the hill. "You go ahead, ok?"

Skylar nodded her head as she slowly started foward. She tried to be carefull, not moving to much at once, but finally she made it onto the land. She took a step farther before she colapsed on the ground, sitting there. Now, more than ever, did she feel really bad. Not only had Kai come save her when he was hurt, but he had used his right hand- the injured one- to get the two of them up there. Tears started to slowly fall from her eyes as she looked down at the ground, the mouth of cave in front of them giving off the sound of water flowing.

Koichi started up the hill, seeing Skylar dangling there; the best thing would be to get her from the land. However, half way up, he saw that boy suddenly grab hold of her. He clenched his fists, standing there as he watched the two starting to climb even further upwards. "How dare he..." Koichi grunted through gritted teeth. He started walking up, as well, towards the top of the hill; he'd have to give that kid a piece of his mind for messing with Skylar. By the time the two had surely reached the top, he was still only half way there; he'd, however, definitely make it up there before anything serious happened. He'd make sure of it.
