The previous monarch. You never meet him in the game (because he's dead and all...). You just see him once in that little introduction video at the beginning of the game, when the narrator is explaining the historical events that lead up to your character being recognized as the Chosen One and what-not.

The world in this game is set in an uncountable number of realms, though you only visit a few. This man rules the realm of darkenss, and his pet cat, who is very sentient, rules that of insanity. Their throne is placed in a palace built to connect the two realms. Depending on the path you choose, one of them is murdered, and you must gain the respect of the other in order to leave the realm of the murdered king and pass into the other realm. Both realms are essential parts to the game, and what you do to gain their respect is completely up to you.

Right now, he looks like some sort of psychic boss you would run into in a rundown asylum in a Resident Evil or Silent Hill game. He hides behind a big steel door that it would take hours to find the code and keycards to unlock but behind that door with him is a crutial item required to escape the asylum. In all that process of finding the keycards and the button code to open the door, he's mind controlling all the zombies and/or mutants to follow and attack you with lethal injections so they can take your head and feed it to him.

The character in every game that is very "gun-ho." She's always swinging her weapons around, not caring who she hits. Such, she has great attack strength, but low attack accuracy.

The character that can mysteriously wield any weapon, and, on top of that, use 4 at the same time. Nobody knows how, because she wipes out the enemies so quickly.
