I don't think I've ever had trouble piercing a Sentinel's armor... ever. Almost any str.5 or higher weapon will do the job on a consistant basis, and even a sniper rifle will do in a pinch. I remember one game I saw where the guy got lucky and took down a Dread' in turn 2 with snipe fire.

I had a friend that would assault my sentinals with meltaguns, and melta bombs. It was serious overkill.

Cagalli Yura Attha chix666 all this talk on sentinels reminds me: can sentinels move under half there full move and shoot their main weapon still? it's a walker. They can move 6 inches and fire their main weapon. and their defensive ones too. I think they can fire ALL weapons if they have more than 1 main one. Sorry, but no, they cannot. I think they can only fire one main weapon regardless. Or maybe that is ordnance weaponry, I do not remember.

Well, as I have never seen a Sentinel with a pintle-mount, I doubt that it would create a dilemma.

I would expect GW to screw the Europeans more than they would the US. Here it's illegal to price fix. So if your lucky you can find new box sets for lower prices. Not many places lower prices though because they still have to buy box sets at full price from the supplier, but a few do.
