Or you can just turn the Avatar into a 80 point bullet catcher. Thats what I did when I used it. I would place him in front with the hopes of him getting into h2h combat, but that is my secondary plan. I really put him up there to take bullets. I mean who can resist taking down an Avatar of hte Bloody Handed God? Every battle I've had with the Avatar was just to take bullets, I never much cared if he died. My real prize are my Guardian Squads w/Starcannons, tearing their army to shreds, and my Wraithlord marching up behind the Avatar as those two march up the middle toawrds the enemy. Only a few times has my Avat gotten into h2h.
That sounds like a good stratagy. I'm not much of a stratagist myself, so I'm just gunna steal that ninja

I dont care, but it works well using a army of small numbers, if you have large guardian squads then your opponent wil catch on, and take Ld tests to shoot at them.

Anyone have some segestions for Eldar names? Things with "dras" at the end are cool, but I suck at names.

I think you just brought up a new subject. Warwalkers:

Anywho from what i have read about them over the net I agree that they should be specialised for a specific role. When i get back from travelling I'm gonna buy nine war walkers, each specialised in a different way:

Squadron #1: Starcannons. Space Marines and Necrons BEWARE. ninja

Squadron #2: Brighlances. For those oh so annoying 14 armour tanks

I am against cheese fests so I use scatter lasers and either a bright lance or EML. This had to be played out to see what went best togeather but it works now. The scatter laser offers a good chance vs hordes and a small chance vs light armor if nessecary...

I had mine both set up with twin scatter lasers but then they usually faced some type of armor they could not hurt so i added the hvy armor weapons to each to aid them in that field. Also it makes it nice for the insta kill on one of the sloggers who gets hit. When the FS is close with guide the warwalkers Pwn!!!

Oh yeah having a Farseer close by will help immensly even though a few shots are bound to hit, the rerolled ones will give you more chances to wound.

War Walks are very hard to use effiectively. I belive the only true way that you can make them effective is to equip them with Missle Launchers and have them stay WAY in the back of your army. And even then, I don't think they are worth the cost.

Yea' the are as fas as I'm concerned the most poorly costed piece in the eldar amry. Even topping out heavy weapons platforms.

I prefer, in theory, to equip them all with Starcannons, and keep them behind cover, so they can wipe out any approaching SM squads. 3 walker,s 6 Stracannons, thats 18 S6, AP2 shots. Very effective anti-armored-infantry screen.

Ok, lemme just say something. Are Eldar advanced Elves? Well, if you played Warhammer fantasy, you'd know that there is a city of Elves called Ulthuan and that there is a dark Elf war god named Khaine. Is there some sort of relation between Eldar and Elves? I hope no one brought this up before but im not reading ALL those pages just to find one posst thanks....lol.
