Rayla smiled weakly at Kris and fumbled with her ears.
"Really..? Y-you like them..?"
She let out a sigh of relief and smiled. She swung her hat around on her finger and thought for a moment.
"Are you sure...the others would be fine? Maybe...i'll tell them later. I was...kind of... hoping to use it... as a costume."
She went over and hugged Kris lightly and smiled.
"Thanks though...its comforting..."

"Of course I like them. They fit your disposisition. Besides, Gill wouldn't mind, neither would Scott or Val, Alex would probably start to worship you or something, Joker seems like a nice enough guy, and Sanji probably wouldn't care."
Kris wrapped her in a great bear hug, giggling. "Yeah, that would be a neat idea. Easy too. But hey, I'm Kris Felne. I'm always gonna be there for my friends, even if they don't want me to."

Rayla giggled and smiled at Kris. She flipped her hat back on and straightened it.
"Thanks..I think i'll save the surprise though...Joker already knows anyway..."
She smiled feintly and rubbed the back of her head. She looked behind her and shook her head, stuffing her tail uncomfortably in her jeans.
"Almost forgot..."
She smiled at Kris again and put her hands behind her.
"So, what...do you want to do?"

"Joker, eh?" She put a devilish grin on her face. "Anything going on between the two of you that I should know about?"
Kris watched Rayla intently. "You know, instead of stuffing your tail away, you could just wrap it around your waist, and tie a jacket around that. You could probably damage it with the way you're going...And for your ears, make notches in a headband big enough for them. That way it would like that they're fake."
Standing up, she checked the bandage on her shoulder. "I'm game for anything you want to do."

Rayla gasped and blushed.
"Wh-what? No, nothings...going on...I don't think at least..."
She stared blankly at Kris for a moment, taking in her advice. She shook her head and smiled.
"Uh..sure thing...I guess. It is a bit... uncomfortable.."
She sat on the chair and tapped her finger on the arm of the chair. Nothing came to mind at first but then she perked up and listened for a moment.
"Its...been quiet. I wonder...where everyone is. I guess we'll think of something."

He walked down the halls looking a bit quizically,"Where the hell is everyond? I fee like it's an episode from the Twilight Zone or somethin'." He yawned,"I'm so bored."

Smirking as she head Joker speak, she called out, "Oi! Idiot! We're in my room! I need to ask you something!"
Kris sat back as she waited for his answer. She had some important questions that needed answering. And soon.

He popped his head into the door of Kris' room and looked around,"You raaaaaaaaang?" He laughed at his own joke as he walked through the threshold of her room. "What up doc?"

Rayla heard footsteps and a voice outside.
"I think... we found what to do..."
She covered her ears as Kris yelled and she closed one eye.
"Wow...could you yell any louder?"
She hit her ear, trying to stop the ringing.

Turning to Rayla, she answered, "Yes, I can."
Undoing the now midnight colored bandage off of her arm, she let the black blood slowly trickle down. "You said before that I was going blind into this. Gill wouldn't tell me anything, so you're my last resort. What is going on with me?"
