He slowly turned to the boy and looked at him deeply in the eyes. The sun shone brightly down. He looked up at it and then slowly stepped closer. "It's always like this...So....Unsatisfyingly dark...." He turned his head away and looked through the gate outside the courtyard. "It's a fine day...But not a fine world....There are darker creatures than me out there...". He placed a hand on his helmet and lowered the visor to cover his completely black eyes.

Talon regarded the man with a questioning glance. "Do you always talk like that?" he asked. The man spoke different, at least different from what Talon was use to. "What's your name? I'm Talon." he said introducing himself. This guy seemed a little rough around the edges, someone Talon definitely didn't want to get on the bad side of. He sat down on a nearby bench, and just watched the man.

Nona looked down at the boy sat on the bench near him. He walked over to the bench and sat down beside him. He rested back and stared forward. "My name is Nona...And i found books on my travels. They taught me to speak..."
He dropped his head down and placed a hand on his forehead softly. He then looked back up then resting his hand on his chin, his elbow on his knee. He had always had a straight face with no expression as he didn't know how to smile or to cry...Except that saddened face that constantly crept upon him.

Talon nodded. He himself had read many books of knowledge. "Well Nona it is very nice to make your acquaintance. Are you new around here?" he questioned out of curiosity. It seemed lately many "newbies" had been coming to Koi, though Talon really didn't mind. To him it was like the more the merrier. Thinking of this, he let out a small chuckle. Quickly he stopped himself and looked up at Nona. "Sorry, just thought of something funny." he said nervously.

Nona leant back against the bench and stared at Talon. "Yes...I guess I am new here..." He said in a quiet voice. He looked forward and stared the flowerbed his aura had killed. "What is this word funny?" He asked, turning his head to face him once again.

Talon sat back thinking. "Funny means...something that makes you laugh....Gives you that warm feeling inside." he finally said. It was as good of a definition he could come up with, from the top of his head anyway. Is it possible for someone to not know humor? he asked himself. Everyone has laughed at lest once in their lifetime haven't they?

Nona gazed at him his eyes slowly closing to half-lidded. He raised the visor on his helmet so that he could see Talon's face completely. "Hmmm...I'm always...Warm....What is laugh?..." He said curiously leaning towards him, showing interest.

Is this guy from another time or something!? he asked himself. How could someone not know what laughing was? He ran his hand through his soft silver hair. "To laugh is your bodies reaction to something that's funny. It's basically a noise that comes from your throat." he finally decided. He wasn't the best at putting what he wanted to say into words.

He stared at Talon for a small while and turned back to look at the flowerbed. "That sounds complicated...Do you like to laugh, Talon?" He asked, standing up and stretching his body. All his bones click in and out of place and he then sits back down.

"Hmmm...I guess I do." he said nodding. So Nona...Are you from this time zone?" he questioned. "Your armor isn't exactly commonly worn..." he pointed out. In fact, this was the first time Talon had seen anyone wear such clothing. Well, besides at the old mid-evil times fairs.

Nona remained quiet but his eyes opened widely in shock. He quickly stood up and looked down. "I have to go..." He said and lightly faded within the shadow of the large walls surrounding the courtyard.
[Hint: The Forest]

Talon watched as Nona vanished. Was Talon really that boring? "Wonder where he went?" he mumbled. Perhaps the forest? he asked himself. The forest was fairly close, so it was possible for him to disappear and then reappear there but why did he leave in such a hurry? Was Talon questioning on the verge of a deep secret? Talon didn't know why, but he had an urge to follow the man. He dashed off into the dark forest, hoping to run into him again.

Nona returned to the Courtyard. No one was in sight. He walked over to the flowerbed and sat on it with his legs crossed. He the palm of his right hand faced upright and he stared at. Although his gauntlet covered the most of it. He stared at the black markings that orbitted his fingers. He wondered if they'd ever do anything and also he thought of what he is and why he's so bad. He then looked up into the clear sky. The sun began to set slowly, as he thought of his new friend Talon. He wondered if he'd ever see him again.

Talon continued walking into the courtyard from the forest. His gaze was downward, staring at the ground. I wonder where Nona went... he asked himself. He didn't want to follow him, because many people would get annoyed by that. He shifted his gaze up to find Nona yet again in the courtyard. "I thought you went deeper into the forest?" he asked, raising a brow.
