I'm Nic, resident sleepwalker and art obsessor. :] I like studying Japanese in my spare time - though my study usually consists of half-hour periods spent glued to the computer/TV screen. If I'm not studying Japanese, I'm probably avoiding work, and if I am studying Japanese then there's a high chance that I'm avoiding work too.
[.AmI.]さん、それは日本があなたの母国って言う事ですか? [.AmI.], does that mean you're originally from Japan?

I'm here as a supplement to my Japanese learning. I'm hoping to test out of Japanese through self study and talking with a friend I have from Japan. Hopefully all that will help me pass out of the first year, otherwise I'll have to take the class. Which wouldn't be so bad but it's a schedule conflict thing. Anyway...

Hello. I have been studying Japanese since I was 16, and I am 24 now, which makes it... 8 years! I consider myself "basically fluent, depending on your purposes"--I can function in daily life and listen to university lectures and mostly read novels, but anything scholarly or more than 50 years old is such a slog that I can't really make myself study it for all that long.
I originally got into Japanese because of anime and manga, but I also like novels by Murakami Haruki and a lot of Japanese pop music.

Hi! My name is Saana and I live in Finland. My friends call me Turle or Micchi, so you can choose from those two. ^^ I first got into Japan and Japanese culture somewhat two years ago when I befriended a girl from our school who had lived in Japan for few months. She introduced me to all this rumble, and while trying to learn as much as I could, I met my Nekokami-sama, who I am deeply in love. He's English isn't perfect, even though he has gotten a lot better during these two years, and I have been studying Japanese to make things easier for him. どうぞよろしくね![douzo yoroshiku ne! ~ Please take care of me!]

Hi! I'm a Junior in High School, and have been fascinated with the Japanese language for some time now. I love Super Robot anime, and I love trying to translate the themes, but I'm not too good at it. I know a handful of individual words, but know almost nothing on grammar.

Um...Hi?
I'm Sarah. ( watashi wa sarah desu)
I'm in 10th grade and have been obsessed with the japanese culture for about four years.
I can't find any place near me to take Japanese so I've been trying to teach myself using anime, a japanese-english dictionary and this demo of a language thingy on my computer.
I know a bunch of random words like ball, airplane, kill, stupid, brother etc.
I love artichokes and llamas.
And that's it for now. ^^

Oh, and also I've been through a first year course of Japanese. 98% <3 I'd have done second year, but then again that's another big story in itself. Heh.
