It was really hard for her to speak now..."Rai...wants me at his house for dinner...he wants me to wear a dress or a kimono..." She was staring at her feet, her face was beet red...no...redder.

((persistance huh... >.> I got your persistance RIGHT HERE!!)) Roy soon came back over and sat down in the chair he had used to block off the doorway. While Tai and Mat were having their little chat, Roy figured the best way to keep their necks clear was to force them to tell him. If they were 'forced' to do it, Kinami couldnt really be mad at them now could she. Well...this was Kinami, she'd probably find a reason and still get them then kill him but he didn't care. There was almost no mention of Kinami in her younger years at the tower and no one spoke of it. Everyone gave him the brush off because he was a kid or he wouldn't be able o understand. Both were bullshit answers and he was sick of it. "Well gentalmen. I completly understand your delimma but I want you to understand mine. I love that phyco path out there we call a Kage. To me, she's just a big, short-fused crack pot ready to blow at any given time. I think the gyser old faithful has blow less times than her but still. You two seem to have the biggest wellspring of information next to Kinami herself so I'll ask you two once more, tell me about her past or else." He seemed rather confident in hs threat...this couldn't be good.

Kinami raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? Well then, how about we traipse over to my rooms and find out what I have in the bowels of my closets, shall we?"
Mat looked over, leaving Tai to organize things. It would keep him out of trouble. He walked over to the kid, crossed his arms, and stared flatly at him. "How do I know that you love her? How can you prove that? It's not like I can just say something and think that it won't get around- there's a reason she will only talk to us. Her past is something that can be used against her, and it's not a chance I'm willing to take to tell a little brat like you."

Roy looked over to Tai for a moment and spoke out, "I wouldn't touch that..." The moment Tai would stop to hear Roy's words, a few stacks down from him, a pot would explode and a wave of sharpened spikes would shoot directly across into the wall. Roy smiled up to the two of them with the innocences only a child could muster.
"Well, to put it simply sir, you don't know. For all you know, I might not actually be Roy. I could be a spy who's a master of the Henge or disgusing themselves and I might just be here to gain information to topple Iwa. Or maybe I am Roy and I am a spy all in one. Or maybe this place is bugged. In short, even Kinami telling you all is a risk. In her rage, its hard to believe that she accounts for every possible way of gathering information. No one can really. But that' why people love getting information all the more. Look, I'll put it to you like this, I have no way of showing that I love Kinami. I'm a kid so I can't make love to her. I'm broke so I can't buy her anything. I live with my mom so I can't go on some grand journey of enlightenment to find and bring her back some stupid hidden treasure. Instead, I just give her myself. That's all I got to give really. She seems happy with it although I'm sure she just thinks it's some kiddy crush. Who knows, it might be, but feels real enough to me. If you don't like the word 'love' then just replace it with 'really really like'. Either way is fine by me but I'll tell you one thing, I've placed bombs all around this room. Bombs of my own design that I can set off pretty much at any time I want so if you two don't tell me what I want ot know, I'll set them off. So get to talking or else this place'll need a heck of a lot mroe than a few new handles on the cabinets." He was persistant, what can you say?

Tai ducked. That didn't help his temper- if he hadn't made a promise to stay put by Mat, Tai would've given the kid a new airhole by now. As it was, he stood there glaring daggers and plotting to kill the kid each and every way he knew how. Which, being an offensive fighter, was a lot.
Mat, on the other hand, didn't blink. "Do you really think you can threaten us? Do you believe we are stupid? Every day we check to make sure that nothing has been moved, subtracted or added to our restuarant. We live right above it. We know how to keep our voices pitched so that you would have to have incredibly intense hearing in order to get our information. At any point in the day, until we go up to our apartments, one of us is in the kitchen and the other is almost always out in front.
"If you think to challenge us, or ruin our restuarant we have worked so hard to keep up, you will regret it. There are worse things than death, and we can make sure you experience all of them." Mat's voice was slowly becoming dangerous, never being raised but gaining an intense cold to it, so cold it began to burn with unkempt anger. He was tapping into emotions that hadn't been brought out for a rather long time. "If you cannot give me a reason that I deem good enough for you to know even a shred of her past, and you persist on following your course of action, you are forfeiting any rights to safety you have."

Roy was never meaning to blow the place up and he knew well beforehand that a fight with these two would be suicide. SPecially when they knew the place 100x better than him. No, he had never meant to spark a full fledge fight, he was simply testing the limits. He knew with Kinami what his limits were but with these two, he didn't know a thing. he sat there silently for a long moment then simply looked to Mat, "Tell me. I'll do mostly whatever you ask of me. I just want to know."

Mat stared stoicly at him while Tai debated the safety of leaving his lover to face the poor kid alone. "That isn't a good reason. Curiousity? Everyone is curious. Assassins and tyrants are curious about her past. I can't take the word of a ten year old, not when they only want to satisfy their childish curiousity." He would give the kid one more try until he kicked him out. Only once more.

ROy sat back for a long moment. This...tyhis wasn't easy. He knew that blowing this place up wouldn't get him anywhere except and early grave when Kinami found out, if Mat and Tai didn't kill him first. He knew that further threats would land him in a similar situation so that was out. All he had left was...well...he didn't know what he had left. These mean were strong, he could tell that jsut from looking at them but to know what kind of strength was beyond his abilities for right now. All he knew was that he didn't really want to give up but Mat was making it pretty much his only option. He looked to them, looking back and forth between them and then took a deep sigh. He hid his face in his collar and began to sulk a bit. He wasn't smart enough to figure out any fancy way around this. ANd he only had one more chance to get any kind of information out of them..damn this was a pain. He looked back up to them...knowing they wouldn't spill a drop of information but he had to know something if he was gonna truely put his heart into being with this woman...that...that's when it struck him. Again, his age compared to hers, his feelings compared to hers...he didn't know what they were. He began to slink inot his seat and think out loud, speaking to Mat and Tai. HIs face, what was left above his collar, showed his fear and pain.
"D...do you think she likes me? I mean, I know she likes me, she likes everyone in the village, thats like part of her job description. But...I mean...at one time, she told me that when I became a 'man' she'd put thought into being with me. But the thing is, I'm 10 and she's like...what...35...40, something like that? By the time I reach an age that'd be considered a 'man' she'll be in her 50's or 60's. Sides...I'm just a kid...and we all know one thing and that's that people never take kids seriously when they talk about adult things. But I was serious when I told her that I like her alot...I think I love her but I don't know. But...well...do you think she could ever love me? I mean she has so many other guys in the village pawning after her. At least one or two of them has to be sincer...not all of them could just be trying to get to her for the title. SHe has men of far more power, status, money, looks, AGE...people that trump me in every way...so why should she want to be with a scrawny little egg head like me. Even if she was a ***** or something, she's got guys in the academy that beat me in just about everything. She could much rather go for them. Sides, I think she like smy MOM more than she likes me when it comes to sexual stuff... I...I just wanna know things about her. What she thinks and what she feels but everytime I ask her something, she gives me some screwy answer or some stupid face. I can never tell if she's serious and after that whole Henge incident back at the academy, I refuse to bring up anything about her past for fear of hurting her again. That's why I was asking you guys but I can't ask you to knowingly put yourself in danger...dammit...I don't even know why I tried...I'm sorry for bothering you guys."
After the speech...he didn't really know how to feel anymore. He was tearing up now and whipped them away quickly. He hopped off his chair and bowed to the two lovers then put the chair back in its place and began to head out.

Yamato watched as the boy left. That was all he was, a boy- he gave up without thinking, without asking how to ask Kinami herself without her going into a recession or freaking out. When he had disappeared, Mat uncrossed his arms and stared at the door thoughtfully.
Tai approached from behind. "And he want's to be a strategist?" He looked around Mat's shoulder to see his face. "Isn't giving up or not seeing all the angles something that would hurt him in the long run?"
Mat gave the love of his life a scathing look, then said, "You have to remember- he is only a boy. He doesn't have our experience or knowledge." Tai smiled and kissed him on the cheek, then the two of them began to finish cleaning and straightening (in the case of a few pots, literally straightening them) things out.

Sanaki had watched Roy in curiousity throughout the whole deal. As soon as she saw the look in his eyes, something snapped within her. Sanaki had no idea what it was, but she couldnt help but glare darkly. With a sigh and a huff, she sat down at the near empty table. Even though she hadnt known Roy for that long, it wasnt hard to tell that he was hot and bothered by something. But the look in his eyes when looking at the women.... it was enough to drive Sanaki over the edge.
If she had fallen in love before, then she would have known it was jealousy. But she hadnt, so all she knew was that she had a dull ache in her heart. She mulled over her thoughts, staring at her hands. She hadnt noticed her tail had lost it's usual perkiness, or how her ears were now flat against her head.

Roy came back from the kitchen a far mroe downtroaden person than he had went in. He looked defeated by something, shaken even. He knew he had to find some way to figure out Kinami but it was just hard. He was smart, sure, a good deal smarter than many kids his age but when it came to cultural things or things like that, he was completly lost. He felt...awckward not knowing what to do. He almost always had some idea in mind but this left his mind blank. He looked about for a moment noticing that Kinami was gone. Probably for the best, he didn't know what to do with her now anyway. A deep sigh left his throat as he then looked over to Sanaki. Something was wrong...had something happened when he was away? He moved over to her table and sat next to her, "Hay...Sanaki...you ok?"

Sanaki had been deep in her thoughts, and hadnt even noticed Roy sitting next to her. When he spoke, it broke her out of the deep thinking session. Her eys widened and a light blush adorned over her nose and just brushing over her cheeks.
"U-uh... hai!" she sputtered out. She had no idea what was going on with her. She never had difficulty with people, so why was she now with Roy? Never before had she felt her face get this hot, her heat beat so quick. She figured it was just because she had surprised her. But that sturck her into a nother string of thoughts, never had she been so oblivious in this state, maybe it was because her wolf ears were flat against her head.
