Ki considered Runa's question, and, before answering, shifted his staff into a more usable position, though it appeared that we was simply putting it in a more comfortable one. I... don't fear the one called Child. The kitten... seems... more than a kitten. The other one... Ki shifted his staff again. I don't trust him...

Takara continued to comfort the kitten, "Yes, Runa, I can sense that this stranger that is asking about Shifty and Minu is hiding something, so lets be careful." Then she looked at the stranger once again, "Well its been some time since we've seen them last, sir, but if you want to you can look around the land or better yet tell us where you've looked for them and then maybe something will come to mind of where they could be."

Takara knew that something wasn't right about this stranger, "Sir, if you like maybe we can accompany you and help search for them, for now that you mentioned it I'm concern about their safety as well." watching him to see if he would accept her offer or reject it.

Meseru thought curiously, I have no idea what they are talking about but I'd ask one question of this stranger...why doesn't he want this girl and anyone else to accompany him? At least...thats what it feels like anyways....does this girl realize her friends are dead...the way she spoke...it doesn't seem like it. Meseru sat down abruptly and stared at the stranger. He looked relaxed but was actually very tense.

"Well, I'm here looking for Shifty's master. He is, more than likely, the killer. They were both sent here together on a mission that I'm not allowed to know about, though I hear it involved destroying an entire clan. Shifty supposedly killed himself form the guilt, was brought back to life by his master because some kid escaped and in the end fought with his master. As it turns out, the king of our land issued no such order and Shifty's master, Hitokiri is considered a traitor to the kingdom." he replied. He paused for a second and then continued. "I was sent here because the king can sense when members of his own clan die so he knew Shifty died with Minu not long after him. The prob;em is, we don't know, for sure if it was Hitokiri who did it or where it happened."

Angalachel shook his head sadly. "You see, they had very special stones placed within their bodies, as do all members of our clan. When a person dies, so too does their stone and the king senses their stone dieing because his stone grows a little heavier."

Runa felt shock at what she had heard, Minu was dead...could that really be? She had known Minu was a strong warrior not one to give up or die so easily, and Shifty! He was the same. She tried not to show the skepticism of what this man said show on her face or the hurt she felt deep in her heart. Takara! They can't be dead! This dosen't feel right, her mind screamed telepathically to her friend. She narrowed her eyes at the man standing in front of them, "How can we trust you. Give us one good reason to believe a word that you say", she said finally speaking out. She ket her voice low and leven when she spoke showing no emotion whatsoever.
