wow i wish i went to a bigger school we are so small we only have flags and like two shredded riffles. and we dont really have an adult person to help us we just do what ever the captian says and that is ususally just the senior who has been there the longest. it sucks

homg, i'm such a guard geek.
i love my guard. we're pretty big, we have about 50 people, but that's considered 'small', considering the size of our band (400)
i loooove rifle. hands down, favorite. i can do a 5 (:
but saber is so fun, though. except blade tosses hurt really badly.

my guard is 20 girls at the moment.
which is big for us.
we dont yet have a captain for next year, but im one of two trying out!
i so hope i make it!!
we're gonna have a hard time next year tho, 15 new girls and 5 old.
i love guard.
i love my rifle.
i love my (not really mine) saber.
i would love to get an airblade!!
and i kick a** on flag!!
and rifle too!

Neko Kafweenu Chat about guard!
I love guard and can throw a quad with my rifle! I need to work on it and make it perfect, though, then I'll move on to fives!!!! w00t! I'm the only freshman who can throw even a perfect triple *brag*
Flag doubles are fun as well. biggrin i learned to thow a double,then used a triple in our compition, and now im working on a quad all in my freshman year, i keep getting a 3 and a half

my bands competitive season is over crying , we have one mor parade, just for a city holiday thing though, and like 3 of our 7 girls and 1 guy are gonna be gon for it so we're going to have to recoreograph like our entire transition from flag to rifle gonk . sucks so bad...

Hello....I am in guard...been in for 2 years now..I am a junior now...I love doing rifle stuff..I can throw a 6 spin with a right hand toss and........barely even a double on my left.....But, I am improving.....But, hey this is my first year on rifle...We got air blades this year...I can do horizontals.....but.....yeah not getting too fancy with them till i get a little more control...The last thing any one needs is high impact plastic imbedded in their skull.....but yeah any one else use an air blade? any tips?.....i could use some......

OMG! where do you go (General area is fine...)? that's huge compared to the schools around here. We have a band of close to 180 and a guard of 28 and we're considered massive. But we've been working our buts off to become a nationally known band, and we actually look really good this year...except for a few rookies...

And on the actual topic, i live for sabre. I hurt for rifle, and i can toss a 2 1/2 on flag consistently and a three on occasion. (6ft pole and heavy...). I can toss a 5 consistently on rifle, and an 8 on sabre...and i'm often out shined by others on my guard.

hello people, few bits of info about me: was in guard two years (graduated from hs now) our guard at its bigest was 17, now I think its down to about 5 with no seniors at all -_- I mostly spun flag but a little bit of sabre, liked sabre better.
we had some pretty cool tricks in some of our shows. We had one were there was one girl laying on the floor and one was standing over her(one leg on each side) the standing girl threw a parallel and ran and the girl on the ground caught it. one time we had six girls standing back to back and throwing 1 1/2 on flag turn and catch the girl behind's flag. I was in that one. It was really hard cause you each had to be perfect so the other could catch it and move in perfect time with the other person so you didn't trip over each other. One year we had one of the freshman throw a quad on rifle and do a turnaround catch. I'm trying to think of anything else cool we did. maybe I'll add more later
