81-90: The line snaps and slices your hand right open. Ouch! Not only did you lose the haul, but you now have to visit the healers and get the wound dressed. Roll a D4 to see how severe your damage is! -5 points

Nothing but a flesh wound! It stings, but will heal within a sevenday.
The stream of swearing that erupted from N'kin's mouth when the line snapped and laid his hand open was truly impressive. Not particularly surprising, given the man himself, but it did require some dexterity of word and the scowl that set in as he headed first for his dragon and then the healers might have made the timid shy away.

1-10. You don't know exactly what happened, but somehow you have wound up tangled up in a fishing net, out in the middle of the ocean. You thrash around and try hard to free yourself, but all you wind up doing is breathing in the salt-water. Thankfully, you're fished out by your fellows, untangled from the net, and dragged back to shore. Outside of being a little traumatized, roll a D4 to see what the results of your poor fishing happened to be!

You are feeling miserable. Your nose stings, you're nauseous from drinking up so much salt water, and you're a bit cut up from the hooks. To make it worse, you've lost the net in its entirety, and now need to go to the infirmary to get the hooks removed and ensure they don't get infected. Blargh. What a day. [-15 points]
"I hate fishing," V'styn muttered, wincing as one of the hooks tugged where it was stuck under his skin. "And I wish I could say I'll never do it again, but, people need to eat." He paused. "Maybe I could learn to tie nets. Rope is inoffenseive, don't you think?"

The wound wasn't terrible, but it becomes infected! This will prevent you from fishing for a sevenday [skip the next week's rolls].
"Shaffit!" Red and swollen and oozing a bit, the cut Anneke took from the fishing line had indeed gotten infected. No wonder it hurt so much. "I promise," she told the healer that had cleaned and rebandaged it, "I'll keep it out of the water and the salt, for sure. Just the thought of salt..." True enough, she'd lost a little color in her face at the very idea.

Perhaps she'd gotten over confident. No, not perhaps. Clearly. Stupid, careless pride had gotten her in this predicament and nothing else. There was no one else to blame nd only a lot of gratitude to spread around as she was hauled out of the water, bundled and bustled off to the healers for the joy or having hooks pulled free of her skin. She had learned her lesson in a most paintful way.

Lots of fish and a variety, too! Packtail, silverfish, bluefish, and even a few spiderclaws! Tasty, tasty!
It wasn't much, but it counted, and to him, it meant he'd salvaged a little of the reputation he'd always hoped to have. It was enough to help feed a few bellies, and that mattered most. Yes, he could still ish!

11-20: You did great! Either you took some training in the Seacraft or you're just a natural! Regardless, you manage to haul in a net full of nothing but delicious silverfish. The delicacy will make some good eating! Yum, yum yum. +10 points
Silverfish! More than a handful of them, flipping and thrashing as En'cai got them hauled out of the water! Oh, that was good. That was very good, and was bount to make at least a couple o the cooks happy.
Running Score: -71 Rinis of Green Galensith Week 4(29-5): 93- 91-100:You decide to take a chance not on the water, but by hunting and scavenging on the beach itself. It seems to be successful! +5 points. 3. Wandering the beaches, you are able to bring back some shellfish, mussels, cockels, and clams. Some might be served raw, while others will be boiled and turned into various chowders and other dishes. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
Come along Galensith! Let's put those claws of yours to work today! We're going to scour the nearby beaches and see if can't dig up something worth putting into the pot! The woman swung up into her saddle. They were going to fly out a ways for some fresh beach that hopefully hadn't been picked clean yet.
Alright. I bet I can dig up enough for one... no two or three pots Mine! The eager green took off talking the whole way about how many of the tiny things she was going to dig up. I hope you'll be able to pick them all up. Galensith looked over her shoulder. I hope you brought enough stuff to put them into.
The pair spent most of the day out, and were able to gather quite a few shellfish of several varieties. I'm looking forward to the chowders they make with these. Rinis commented as she loaded the full baskets onto Galensith's sides.
1. Oh-ho! You're in luck! You wind up finding some sea wherry and manage to hunt one down successfully! Thank Faranth--some real meat that isn't fish! Gain an extra +5 points.
2. You bring back a whole bunch of greens and some edible seaweed scavanged from the shore and nearby lagoons. The greens will add both nutrients and flavor, and can always be dried.

4. While hunting the beach, you you find a newly hatched baby firelizard! The hungry being demands tribute, and you have no choice but to give in! Thankfully, you have a few snacks stashed to ensure this little flit doesn't go hungry. Well, this is an unexpected surprise... Roll a D20 to see what color, and Quote Uta! (You can only win this once per character. If you roll it on a character who has already Impressed, they simply find shells from an already hatched clutch instead.)

Vosin, what Are those? They certainly aren't your stick you normally use. Killakeeth peered down at the weird whicker items her rider carried. That one even has holes. It won't hold fish.
"They are not. I've given up rod fishing today. We're going clamming. This flattish basket with the holes as you so brilliantly pointed out is to sift the clams out of the sand." It was a back breaking day, spent half or mostly soaked, but worth the baskets of shellfish she was able to gather.
